    In my headcanon. I will treat this as an early development test version of the VF-171 that still used some VF-17 parts and had been assigned to Diamand Force for flight testing. 😅

    That looks nice! Thanks for sharing! I have some Mr. Color Crystal paints too, but I've yet to use them. I have a model from the Ikaruga shmup video game and while it is essentially white, my idea is to section parts of it off and do variations with those different pearlescent paints.     So I couldn’t afford the action figures anymore since they’re so expensive these days, but at $64, I think I can do this. Looks pretty fun to me and I think it’s about the same as the bring art’s height.definitely will get this Cloud model kit

    No PO madness for this one... still available on HLJ.. Am on board this as a stealth-ish looking vf-17-ish, since the old DX vf-171 CF which was a closer(?)-ish-ish stealth look had not the best reputations.... lots of '-ish's... likely a fighter mode on display but even then, for a stealthly colors look and definitely not on proportions... but the past few pages has been no less classic macrossworld dissections of the vf-17.... awesome! no doubt, i would wish for a new better represented proportion wise, DX VF-17, but who knows when that would be...

    Probably still on Earth. Those early emigrant fleets were partly crewed by clones in order to provide enough people with important skill sets, so a lot of folks with engineering and design backgrounds are probably still on Earth (or at best, Luna).

    lol hlj limit is 1 per customer... i'm not sure who wants 2. BBTS is $299... i won't criticize BBTS for this, perhaps that is the msrp price for the US that is set by Bandai, someone must be smoking rocks or out of touch setting that MSRP

    I'm not sure, but I think at some point they may have changed how HLJ places charges in yen? I've had my paypal linked to my account for a long time, and always flagged to use yen by default, but they might not accept new requests to use that method. I wouldn't quite blame them, since the way the exchange rate has fluctuated has resulted in some wild price differences over the past couple of years.

    Amazon Japan will cost me..... ¥28,688 + shipping cost of ¥5,315 and import charge of ¥4,439... so a TOTAL of ¥38,442. So about $261 USD using current exchange rates... though not accounting for whatever adjusted exchange rate my credit card may be using. What is the HLJ total cost? Note... for some reason HLJ keeps rejecting my attempts to place order in Japanese Yen and keeps defaulting me to USD, making the normallly ¥27,000 ($183.29 USD) price into a $219.03 purchase price, before shipping and fees.

    TBF the new revival Armored Ozma from its promo, to box art, right down to the instructions, had the wrong paint job on the head. Same for the visor and canopy colors on the 27. Those came out to be animation accurate like the renewals when you look at the actual toy. So bandai is willing to ignore all their photographed/rendered materials and sneak in a correct toy in the box. But this scenario we now have is very drastic, and requires new molds, so it almost certainly is not happening. Maybe if people scream at them on twitter as early as possible, there would be a chance lol.

    BBTS preorder is up now too if you don't want to deal with international shipping costs and want US based service/returns. Looks like the privilege will cost an extra hundo tho, so not great.

    Honestly, your Siegfried looks more like a real plane than the Kairos. IMO you've proven that looks like an absolutely fine combat aircraft with the right paint job. In this comparison, the Kairos looks a bit cartoony with those panel lines and colors. It probably doesn't help that the delta wings and dog teeth were always kind of mismatched to the flow of the body's shape and makes it look more sci fi/toy like to me. I always thought Kairos would look better with lambda wings. If the outer wings were erased from the join outward, and a random person was told to finish drawing the rest of the wing, I think the natural response would be to draw a lambda wing, even without knowing what it is. This comparison has made that idea obvious to me lol Anyway, have fun cooking up your next project.
