  1. Past hour
  2. Same, and it was purely reflexive. Just beautiful. I nominate @mikeszekely for the Nobel Peace prize.
  3. Today
  4. I haven't bought a Mezco in a good while, pissed I missed out on Red Hood but I've been contemplating starting my first custom, Luke Cage. I think One:12 Iron Fist is peak, and I really want a One:12 style Power Man to pair with him, Heroes for Hire indeed.
  5. My dad and older family thought the Superbowl ad was a toy commercial, I told them it was.
  6. Absolutely brutal and fantastic new episode! Bummer we're already at the end of the season, but Hedge Knight is a short book so it is what it is. One more episode to go, great season, I think they really nailed Dunk and Egg, great cast, some laughs, the characters are great, just a solid season overall, couldn't be happier with how the series turned out.
  7. Oh, Evan, Mark, and the others know when they've got a turd on their hands, but it's their job to sell it. Funny how they'll judiciously point out flaws in a previous fig years down the road when a new one is coming out, and of course they gush over the new one, even if it, too, has visible flaws that don't quite meet the hype. Naturally, they're going to downplay or outright quell any harsh criticism; they want to sell these things and project the Takara-Tomy designers, who actually do the heavy lifting design and engineering-wise, in the best light possible. But these guys are fans, too, and credit where due, they do a good job of masking their disappointment, b/c as fans, you know they feel it as well when TT puts out a stinker and they have to churn up hype for it. I'm officially nominating the Hasbro Transformers Team for the Academy Award for their performances. Best I've seen all year. 👿
  8. Yesterday
  9. Yeah, probably licensing agreements and such
  10. not gonna lie, I thought he died forever and a decade ago. Theh last movie Ic an even th ink of seeing him in was The 6th Day.
  11. Still loved him in Apocalypse Now. He really sold that character. He’s been in so many projects over the years from action to drama and everything in between, another great that will be greatly missed
  12. Good luck on the fix, hope it turns out well and can’t wait to see it painted up. I know resin can be a bit awkward with certain paints, is there a particular type you plan on working with?
  13. In true Disney fashion....that was just like the pre-queue line before you get into the actual queue line...
  14. For starters, range of motion has been improved significantly. But there is definitely a lot more behind this.

    1/55's revisited

Of course! Looking forward to seeing more.
  16. Not ready for a debut. There are still more items to be addressed before painting. This is only a render to see where markings lie and where adjustments need to be made. As far as a comparison goes, I appreciate the offer of Jenius doing so, but would rather outline these myself as there is so much to call out.
  17. Put Astrotrain back in the oven because that thing is half-baked at best. Hasbro either rushed the design team, hit their budget limit, or just stopped caring during development. How on God's green Earth is the 2026 Astrotrain so ridiculously inferior to - quite possibly - every mainline Astrotrain that came before? And I say that as someone who couldn't care less about Astrotrain. I saw a brief 2026 NY Toy Fair interview over the weekend between a YouTuber and Evan (of Hasbro). The YouTuber started to raise fans' negative reactions to Astrotrain's design, but he basically folded on the spot when Evan pushed back and asked for specific qualms - as if the figure's deficiencies aren't self-evident already! I understand why the YouTuber didn't press the issue further, but I really wish he had held his ground and punctuated his argument with specific examples. That said, it seemed like there was a nonverbal understanding between all parties that the figure has flaws, but the design is set and there's no use crying over spilled milk now.
  18. That's what I love most about Crusher Joe - the Mechanical Designs are top notch!
  19. The best peacetime consigliere ever. RIP
  20. Rest in Peace, Mr Duvall.

    Hi-Metal R

The price of the 19P continues to drop for those interested but were turned off at the original price. Now at $134 shipped at Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/TAMASHII-NATIONS-Excalibur-Planetary-Hi-Metal/dp/B0FCZS3BF2 Wouldn't surprise me if it continues to go even lower as I don't think anything Macross 7 will have that much demand.
  22. I think you could do a Two in one set (instead of including a TV set). On the other hand, they didn’t release a Japanese version of the NES but the NES design was the same in Europe and the US. Given that the US market is slightly bigger than the European one I would expect a US version of the SNES but that would habe little appeal to a big Lego market. Or they just do different sets for different regions. Lego has experimented with different color ways for sets so this would be the logical next step (although I am a big SNES fan so I would have to import the US version). The Europe and Japan version would probably be the more fun build, the US version seems to be straight forward in terms of design (plus the SNES doesn’t require the ingenious cartridge loading mechanism of the NES, maybe the SNES would be super boring).
  23. This is probably a toy that should have been battloid only with normal 80s action figure joints instead of transformable with almost no joints. Cool to see someone giving it some updates.
  24. Minerva is a cool looking ship @Chas. Very fighter-like for her size.
