That is definitely one of the thousand words that came to my mind. Or maybe it was just that one word, a thousand times.

They should have called it a VF-1XS or something and made up their own side history of it being an experimental line of "veritechs". How much does it cost to make a comic book? They could have included a comic with each release with a post rain of death story arch as new mechs were being developed.

I am sorry that the Quality control is so bad on your copy of the trailer and Super Ginrai. I have not had the problems getting the panels on the leg to hold together. My copy spends most of its time asSuper ginrai or God Ginrai and I enjoy the set quite a lot. I did have to tighten the pegs on the extra shoulder armor for god Ginrai with a clear top coat (Pledge with FUTURE Shine). That said the QC in my Cab robot makes me unhappy. One of the little chrome tabs one one of my exhaust pipes was cracked out of the box and snapped off when I tried to transform it the first time. The other tab is still fine. I have not has as much trouble with the iegine popping off as some people. I do really dislike the hip joints. The hip dropping mechanism is always too loose, and the distance the legs spread going too the first detent on the hips spreads his legs too far to look good. I do think there could have been a better way to tuck the arms in better on the trailer, and i ordered the DNA design set for super Ginrai to see if it improves things.- 17713 replies

Now, I am no toy collector so please take this for an ignorant statement if it comes across as one... but that looks kind of... awful? I can understand sacrificing screen-accurate proportions to make a toy's transformation work but this looks like they didn't even try.

Not ThreeZero... Thankfully.

I have been enjoying the show so far....but yeah, fans are just fed up with getting excited about shows then getting let down at the end....so far so good on the DC Gunn-verse, nothing groundbreaking, but not unwatchable either....just a fun distraction from all the stupidity IRL....

Looks like a kitbash done by someone who has never attempted one before.....

ThreeZero went down the toilet fast.....I blame the Trump tarrifs!

How lazy can bandau get. It just a simple retool for those parts esp the feet and intake covers and they couldnt even spare the effort. Sighs. Am still hoping that the model shown in just a mock up and hope that bandai will surprise us

Hey thanks. Looking at it again this morning I see more potential in it now. Just needs some dialing in like you mentioned.

All I'm really looking forward to is Supergirl. Have no interest in Man of Tomorrow, and thanks for basically stealing Supergirl's movie title, or Clayface. (Who the heck is Clayface?!) Supergirl might be better without Gunn writing or directing it, but other than that... Batman II, really hoping the long gestation makes a great flick!

This is what I meant: -
Surprised there hasn’t been more chatter on this namely the last couple weeks. i was thinking how boring this season has been but they’ve been amping things up with 1 episode left.

To me, from the top view the major issues are the details on the upper intake covers, the incorrect feet and the shape of the wing lights. I think the feet are the most egregious inaccuracy for this view. There is a bunch of additional surface detail not on the VF-17 line art but I can explain this away by being an attribute of the DX style. The problem is that the details are a copy from the VF-171 and not new details for the VF-17. I assume, Bandai couldn’t have shortened the arms a bit more in fighter mode because of the underlying engineering. Since the preorders are not selling like hotcakes Bandai might revise the VF-17 but I doubt it.
-
Honestly, the only thing glaringly inaccurate in fighter mode is that the elbow guns are far past the shoulder panel gap that it should have been in line with. And then the shoulder missile port(s) upon closer inspection. Otherwise, line art for fighter mode seems to have always had those leg proportions.

It would be crazy if you mange to put together the mythical Evolution. I think there's a 3d file of the YF-24 on cults3D. Not sure if it helps with what you want to do.

Assuming I somehow survive the AUN conflict, I don't get waxed by a stray heavy converging beam or collapsing house when Kuala Lumpur gets turned into a hole, and somehow don't starve to death, it'd be nice to move to the Moon? -
Regarding the books, I feel like I should re-iterate my experience from 14 years ago...

Whats Lying on your Workbench MK IV

It looks great in high gloss. Try applying a smoke or charcoal grey dry brush on the joints and top coat with satin, joints and black areas only. Finish stark colors like yellow and pink with matte or satin matte. It’s looking great. FYI - I still have to finish the cockpit amongst other details. Not quite close to the finish line. -
Has anybody attempted to remove their speaker fins yet?

Yup, Priss on the Kusanagi CT-3X from Cyberpunk 2077.
