Can't you just use EMS since you're in EU? I thought the Japan Post suspension was just for the US.

Oh, I can use EMS but all EMS packages will be handed over to DHL to be delivered in my country.

Even if this wasn’t the case, all carriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS) have processes in place to make you pay the processing fee and pay the import VAT; there is no escape.

And it will be same in the US. You will get used to your new federal tax and the fees attached to it once all the carriers have processes in place to request the money from you.

The tariff tax will be the same for all carriers, but the actual rates the carriers charge for their services will be different. EMS shipping through the post office is usually much cheaper than DHL, FedEx, and UPS. Even the processing fees are different by carrier. For example, DHL charges an additional $17 duty processing fee on top of the tariff and actually shipping cost on items while FedEx only charges $9.75 + tariff + shipping for items valued under $200. To further complicated things, you get discounts if you have an account with specific carriers.

Oh, I can imagine that it is quite chaotic at the moment but I believe this will all be streamlined once the dust has settled.

I'm just committed to breaking them off entirely on at least one of mine, can you tell if they're glued in as a separate piece, or actually molded together with the shoulders?

If they're molded on, I'm just going to saw them off of the sideways gerwalk set, that looks even dumber to begin with.

Mark H. replied a comment saying the shoulder fins don't come off. And another one saying the leg missile hatch doesn't open even though it seems like it should.

Yeesh.. I mean, it's stupid, but I absolutely believe Bandai would cut costs by not making the hinge and missile parts for the legs, since they weren't shown in the animation.

I decided to try to crack off a pair of the Gerwalk shoulders.  It's a little bit more than just a peg holding on there.  One had very little glue and I was able to work it off then trim the nub with sprue clippers and polish down.  The other was kind of a mess.  There's a little bit of a dent.

I mean the VF-19P uses traditional style micro missile ports in the lower legs to launch it's micro missiles, rather than the opening bay door that the VF-19Kai/F/S use. So technically it's correct for the leg doors not to open on the VF-19P HMR.

I was actually quite impressed that Bandai got this detail correct on the VF-19P HMR.

Still haven't watched so never realized that was a thing. Googled around to check. Now it makes sense.

My googling has revealed an old thread on here with an image that proves the gunpod is wrong though. It's supposed to also have a white version of the Kai's speaker launcher rather than the regular gunpod lol

Bandai cost-cutting logic...

  • glue/lock-down leg missile bay option
  • make extra shoulders with fins coz making just the fins movable is WTFBANDAI&#$(&^#&$?!

/facepalm
