CF18 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 But I dont get why people think this is a good price. I dont know the scale but comparing it to the megahouse ride armor sets this seems to be about the same amount of detail but more expensive. I like the sculpt and gimmick but I cant afford this hobby. I guess I should be careful what I ask for! Yeah it is kind of pricey. The Saint Cloth Myth figures, probably came from the same team in Bandai, are in general cheaper and come with die-cast metal armours. If you include the Appendix accessary pack then they are about the same price. I guess most here have gotten used to high price with anything Macross. I want it. I don't care how gay my friends will call me for having a pretty boy figure. Easily fixed by telling them the figure is a girl.
badboy00z Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I want a VF-25 that this figure can sit in. Lol. It'll be huge!
SuperHobo Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Awesome. Not too pricey and the gimmicks look cool, throw in some die cast and its a purchase!
m0n5t3r Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) armor plus ex-gear saotome alto release in september , price 7500 yens COOL! ... bit pricey for me, but w/ all the gimmicks + the stand, i am very tempted. wonder how many will buy multiples of this to display in diff. configurations... SchizophrenicMC Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Easily fixed by telling them the figure is a girl. But they all know about the girly man!

eriku Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 HLJ Early Bird: http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN958095 And ordered. Thanks!
miriya Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Does anyone know the height, scale or size of this thing?
Vifam7 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 (edited) Does anyone know the height, scale or size of this thing? The photo that CF18 posted shows a poster board in the background with the words "S.H. Figuarts". Which would mean a figure around 15cm in height. Edited June 3, 2009 by Vifam7
alfye Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 18cm (with helmet & armor on) only ABS plastic, no die-cast... http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/2791/hjmf.jpg
miriya Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 so about 6 or 7 inches tall. . . That is a nice size actually.
Black Valkyrie Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I want it. I don't care how gay my friends will call me for having a pretty boy figure. Believe me Alto is nothing compare to another charatcer from a well know franchise, also played by Michael Blanc's Seiyuu who has figure end of this year in a sexy dress.

505thAirborne Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 If he is a 1/10 scale, I wonder if Alto will fit on my Beagle Ride Armor bike?
Major Focker Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 If he is a 1/10 scale, I wonder if Alto will fit on my Beagle Ride Armor bike? that would be really cool. now if only beagle could hurry up with yellow's RA (i think the purple will match with alto's suit)
505thAirborne Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 that would be really cool. now if only beagle could hurry up with yellow's RA (i think the purple will match with alto's suit) That would be sweet!!
MacrossJunkie Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 That's pretty cool. I like how you can deploy it into the cockpit mode. I don't normally collect figures, but I might just get this. But probably not until the price was a little cheaper though.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 nice! 1/10 scale is a good size! And for sure he'll look good with the Beagle Ride Armour, total BONUS.
eyesonme78 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 pre-ordered!! i hate myself for buying this... but i like the articulation... ahahha...
regult Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Will wait for the actual thing to hit the streets to make a final decision meanwhile, since I've never been too much into figures, let alone Saint Seya (spelling?) stuff, how does the articulation on these toys fare compared to, let's say revoltech? I am sorry if this is a strange question. pictures of articulation (dare I say inner workings?) would also be very very welcome.
alfye Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 (edited) ... SaintSeiya bodies has a lot of articulations, about +30! but armor parts limits a lot of poseability. Check this CollectionDX review of Dragon Siryu & Pegasus Seiya MythCloth: http://www.collectiondx.com/review/2006/dr...u_final_version http://www.collectiondx.com/review/2005/pe...a_final_version Edited June 9, 2009 by alfye
regult Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Thanks a bunch alfye for pointing me to the CollectionDX reviews. I should've thought about that before! Seems the EXgears owe a lot of R&D to this figure collection, even the "transformation" into cockpit configuration is similar to the feature of the cloth transforming into small statues! that's so neat!
eyesonme78 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Glad i preordered it... hahahha.. the figure in the cockpit stance is the killer!!
Roy Focker Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Even though I didn't like Macross Frontier that much I'm liking this toy.
crasis Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 AMAZING! The headsculpt is spot-on to the anime, to boot! I will buy ALL of these! Here's hoping for Ozma, Michael, Luca... hell, even a Sheryl!

logos Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 (edited) Yeah that just sold it for me. Preordered it from Hobby search. Overdrive has it too and they say it will come out in late August while Hobby Search says late September. Edited June 9, 2009 by logos
