kensei Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Good, they will include the other weapon pods too. The grey isn't the actual color, it's just the unpainted resin prototype.Chris 426945 the ghost pack maybe, but the valk is painted. U can see the kite logo and arm stripes. 426966 Good eye. I'm very curious as to where all of the attachment points are on the Ghost.
Dante74 Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 The other pics of the VF-0A show it having a lighter nose (almost white). This one doesn't.
Dobber Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I was just refering to the Ghost not the 0. Maybe this will be another 0 that will include the Ghost?! Chris

On the Hasegawa model the ghost has seperate struts and then it also has slots where it slides in between the vertical Stabs. Chris
Scream Man Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 could it be attached to the missles on top? And then the missles attach somewhere? I dont know the plane well enough...
Fatalist Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Are you sure that tiny ass pic isnt of the Hasegawa kits?
ghostryder Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Are you sure that tiny ass pic isnt of the Hasegawa kits? 427003 It's too big and too chunky to be Hase kit. It's probably a painted-up Focker with a new head.

Dante74 Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Wolfx, did the VF-0A have different colors then in the Yamato pics that were released?

ghostryder Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 (edited) Wolfx, did the VF-0A have different colors then in the Yamato pics that were released? 427041 I like to know, too. The nose, legs, and arms are a lighter shade of gray on the promo shot. This paint-up is more uniform gray ... like the anime-correct CF scheme, but darker (Yamato, don't let HFH see this un-approved scheme! ). Edited August 21, 2006 by ghostryder
Scream Man Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 its a pretty far away shot! the light isnt great. It may just be the light isnt hitting the fighter right...
Sumdumgai Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I won't complain if it turns out to be a Low Vis V1-ish scheme. Man I'm really excited about the VF-0A!

David Hingtgen Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Be nice to the mods, we go out pic-hunting at websites we can't read the language of for you:
Sumdumgai Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 AWESOME! Thank you David, you rock man! Damn that looks really cool... Oh gods more stuff to buy.
ghostryder Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 ZOMG! That's what I'm talkin' about! I didn't think I'd need the Ghost, but that pic rocks. Looks like the Ghost connect via the rocket pods and clips to the tail fins. Also, I hope the production model -0A has the same colors. Anime-correct or not (and low-vis or not), I love that scheme.
David Hingtgen Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 That's 1000x better than what Yamato's pics have been showing us so far. It's two-tone grey, but the two shades are very close--just like your standard USAF/USN Compass Ghost scheme. You can barely tell the nosecone and flaps don't match the rest of the plane---that's the effect you want. That's the most low-vis of any valk Yamato's ever done. I was so NOT going to buy this based on the pics we had earlier, but will so buy this if that's the actual colors they use. I'm wondering if there'll be two releases---the high contrast "what Kawamori says" version without Ghost, and this version, with Ghost.
Chewie Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I'm wondering if there'll be two releases---the high contrast "what Kawamori says" version without Ghost, and this version, with Ghost. 427154 Here's to hoping.
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Maybe they'll just change it to that if enough people make a noise about it. (like the lime green gbp)
kensei Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 (edited) Hey Dave, thanks a bunch. That's an awesome pic. WolfX is right about the missile pods tho', they seem to be a part of the Ghost, there are some extesnions underneath the Ghost taht seem to extend down to the missile pods. Edited August 22, 2006 by kensei
Nani?! Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 wow... That looks NUTS. That looks absolutely brilliant. Damn this is nuts... now I have to get another vf-0s and two vf-0a's and two ghost kits.... that and three yf-19's and a fold booster set.... I'm getting woosey~~~
Vermillion21 Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 HOLY S---! That pic looks sweet!! Man, that ghost pack on the VF-0A ... now I definitely need to get myself one.
recon Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Defintely will get the VF-0A with the ghost boosters, now the question is that wether yamato would do two versions of it, i would have prefer them to issue the ghost boosters as an optional set. Well only the Gman knows. Cheers
Scream Man Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 id prefer an optional ghost as well. I like the 0A, but not so keen on the ghost
David Hingtgen Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 (edited) Checking around, while it has the number of a Cannon Fodder (321) it has the colors of what Hasegawa says Shin's (311) should be. I don't agree with those being Shin's colors, but they sure look a lot better than what Kawamori says. As they should--they're exactly your standard F-15/F-18 scheme. They are de facto "fighter plane greys". Either way, it's got the colors I want---and REALLY hope Yamato goes with *exactly* those colors. Any change would throw off the low-vis look IMHO. Edited August 22, 2006 by David Hingtgen
Dante74 Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Shin's VF-0A had white stripes where Roy's has the black stripes. (across the wings and back of the plane) Those aren't on this VF-0A which I think is too bad.
David Hingtgen Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Here's the VF-0 that was at Chara Hobby---note the price is 17,640Y. Which is slightly higher than Roy's at 16,800Y. Still, I don't think that's enough to add in a Ghost and the new weapons, even if they remove the leg armor and original missiles.
Dante74 Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I really hope they go with the colors as shown in the pic with the Ghost attached.
Scream Man Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 oo, i like that pic. I ike the light grey/white colour
Dobber Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Hey Dave, thanks a bunch. The parts that you see extending down from the ghost are it's lower fins/ canards. They also sort of act like a stand while the Ghost is attached to the Fighter. The Missile pods just attach to the top of the "blisters" while the ghost "fins" touch around the base of the blisters. David I 100% agree about the colors of this Bird. I really hope this wasn't a custom Paint scheme. Chris
kensei Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Ah ok. I knew that it wasn't part of the Ghost, but I that Yamato did their own improvisiation cause I didn't think that they could find a way to attach it otherwise.
Nani?! Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Note: it looks like the un spacy marks on the fastpacks and the gunpod are tampo printed. If this is the case, THANK YOU YAMATO!! -Awesome-
kensei Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 (edited) Yep they are. Just like the Roy one. it's awesome. If the A can hold a pose like that, then I think that the joints are fixed. Edited August 23, 2006 by kensei
