    That's how I lost my 1/48 VF-1S Roy; the thing pretty much crumbled to bits on me, even after keeping it out of direct light. On mine, it was the back piece where the tail attached, and then the upper arms. I never was able to afford to replace it (ended up crippled after buying it), and still cannot afford a replacement even some time after this happened. 😭

    Really don't care for this version of MP Prime. As previously mentioned, he looks like a new version of MP-10, and we've already had that flavor. What bothers me more is the overall aesthetic of this one: it feels off to me, and not in a "not G1-toy" version or "not cartoon" version type of way. To be frank: I'm tired of the "toon aesthetic" myself. It may sound stupid, but in a modification of the G1 "toy" version, I've actually been wondering about a back of the box art series where we have the very Japanese looking Optimus with the dark windshields, silver hands and such. Starscream, Megatron and all of them in that original piece look somewhat different, and rather unearthly with how their eyes are depicted and such. Anyways, that's just me I suppose. But this newest iteration ("MPG") isn't doing it for me. I also think other series could use some time in the spotlight. I love G1 and all, but fans of the other series really deserve an MP line for their faves.

    Sigh... this is why I gave up on Gundam after the final nail which was TWfM; the franchise as a whole has lost its' way.

    I remember when BBTS used to sell both NEW and also USED toys that you could buy cheaper. Now, everything is NEW, and is often at a premium.

    Seto, did they say what was flawed about the VF-3000? It does seem odd to me that IRL, they decided to go with the VF-11 rather than the 3000, so maybe that was an in-story justification? (Admittedly, I like the design for the VF-3000 better than the VBF-11).

    Painted this up for a friend: Started as a 14 inch Disney Store Boba Fett I found at a thrift store (saved it before a little brat could reduce it to bits!); rangefinder was already gone, so built a new one that swivels. Plastic molded cape broke off, so made a new one out of actual cloth (dyed and painted ERB colors), and overall used pics of screen-used ERB costumes to fill out the details. This now graces his office as of yesterday.

    Thanks; increased efficiency was something I was wondering about. I figured if software could throttle the system so the g's it produced did not exceed craft limits (If I understand correctly). This is a bit of research for the project. So a craft would not need both systems; am I correct? Yup.

    Yeah; lately, they've had packages I've ordered go to the wrong places, get delayed ridiculously late, and have argued with me over the phone that I "should not expect the package to arrive when their system tells me via informed delivery." When I questioned the agent on the "logic" of that kind of thinking, the agent hung up on me. I know I hate waiting for stuff! 😠

    @Shawn Thank you for taking care if that; I was honestly worried when the forums were unreachable (google said it literally couldn't find MacrossWorld!), and wass greatly relieved to see the "work in progress" page come up later! BTW: Did Imai ever issue the VT-1 valk kit (saw the pic you had on the WIP page)? If not, I'll have to find a regular VF kit and do some mods!

    Meh; last few times I tried that, it sat there for over a year with no replies. I'll just see about 3D printing it or maybe making a hook for it.

    Well, I'm using Win10 Pro on a Dell 3020 SFF (Intel Core i5 4590 @ 3.30GH) with 16Gb RAM, NVIDIA GeForce ( Gigabyte) GT1030 (2GBVRAM) and an 223GB SSD. Looks like I'm not doing much to upgrade to anything for the next 3 millennia. Sad to say: Win 11 isn't in my future anytime soon.
