  1. Two words: Captain Feckless.
  2. Sorry... my dyslexia acting up. Some days it can be a royal pain, and it got worse after my TBI. In my case, the words appear in different places, as opposed to the letters doing so.
  3. Yeah, and it's still one of the bars set as a standard for remaking the SDF-1!
  4. That's why I had to make my own.
  5. Superman set the bar so low that The Atom had no trouble walking over it at full size reduction.
  6. Wait a minute... a VF-1's head is only three feet square?! I could have sworn it was a bit bigger than that!
  7. *exiting discussion due to health issues with family*
  8. I imagined that so much focused energy through the energy weapons (I know solid ammo doesn't do that) would degrade them, much like in Star Wars, the laser tips on the X-wings have to be replaced every so often for that very reason.
  9. The only thing I can think of is that one or more of the components degrade per shot (as a "consumable" with a specific lifetime where each use uses it up until it is finished), and need replacement back at base during rearming/ refueling.
  10. Now you know why he's so chill: raising Nekki Basara is such a harrowing ordeal that anything else that happens won't seem all that bad!
  11. Okay; thanks for clarifying that. That reminds me... I wonder if Boddole Zer ever did this with any under his command:
  12. At the risk of how this may sound Seto: is it official that DYRL Boddole Zer was simply an AI (Macross chronicle or other publication/ source), or is that what you gather from the OVA? Not doubting you or trying to question you; just wanted to know it if was canon.
  13. Hmmm... position 439 of the Kama Sutra? O.o
  14. I forgot about the railguns; was thinking more about the regular gunpods, but you're right. I also tend to think that most conventional ammo (unless tracer rounds) would be difficult to see the line of fire coming from, whereas a beam/ energy-based weapon would be a dead giveaway. Not sure how much that matters in space, but I would think that in the case of stealth, it could potentially reveal an opponent's position.
  15. The Male ones, perhaps. The female power armors... er, nope. Not really happening.
  16. With the wrinkles in the brow, looks like "Worried Blue Batman"...
  17. Fourth: you can use a projectile weapon even with low energy, but beam weapons use a lot of energy.
  18. On that note: when and how does a fleet decide what planet is suitable for them to settle on? Are there certain criteria UNS? NUNS gives them, or do the colony fleet commanders decide?
  19. Admittedly: with no thanksgiving, no christmas gifts to look forward to now (money vanished for those) and no projects, it just adds to my depression. I'm already "small" in all of this, and if I get any smaller, I'll be able to hide under my 1/72 scale models! O.o Anyways, I'm taking up bandwidth here. Shutting down notifications until after new years.
  20. Thanks; the holidays are gonna suck (no money for thanksgiving or gifts for christmas), but I'll try to be around. As to your project: I would get some epoxy clay, smoosh it in there and then put the polycap in.
  21. Makes me wonder at times if part of the Alien universe is a virus that induces epic levels of suicidal stupidity....
