  1. Wasn't that done already (Macross Frontier)?
  2. Hotren hears a Ho? I thought Christmas was 3 months ago!!
  3. Same here; I always thought Hawk was a moron for not dating her!
  4. "bust"? okay, looks like Caitlin O'Shaunnessy just joined the crew! Greatly appreciated!!!
  5. Got it. If you have a set of needle files, you should be able to smooth those seams out with some careful filing.
  6. Yeah, I could definitely use them! I recently moved (October), so let me know if you need my new addy!
  7. They would work, but 1) they would cost more than the Airwolf did, and 2) we just hot hit with the car taxes for the first half of this year (you don't want to know). *starts digging through stuff for magifiers *
  8. It also comes in cream color: https://www.amazon.com/Permatex-22045-S-220-Plastic-Welder/dp/B00U7VRE42?ref_=ast_sto_dp

  10. Thanks @MechTech and @sketchley; that would help explain a lot of things! With that resolved, I'll just do what I can and fudge what needs to be fudged. Meantime, I need two 1/32 scale pilots for this; I'd rather just get a pair to modify than scratch them up ( hands and eyesight aren't what they used to me), but most now are way too expensive for me. Last time I tried this was quite a few years ago, and even then scratching them up was a pain and they didn't come out very well. Would anyone happen to have any spares?
  11. OK, I understand now. Epoxy is going to be far too brittle and won't hold that, while Gorilla glue simply won't have much to hang onto there. Try the Permatex Plastic Welder, and see about putting some behind the broken part in the space in there. I would try lightly sanding it to give the adhesive some "tooth" to cling onto when you glue it.
  12. I gathered that; the issue I'm having is that Santini's console that you can see between the seats looks wider than the space I have between the seats on my model. It may just be me, but I want to get this to where it doesn't look like Santini is trying to do EDCC duties on a Tetris screen! lol
  13. Yeah, but on the show, there's this: As you can see in a couple of the pics, the space between the seats is a bit wider than I have in the model. And the info I have is that they used a Bell 222 body to shoot the internal scenes: (Andrew Probert, Airwolf Designer, sitting on the deck of the "Stage Lady") Maybe I'm estimating it wrong or something...I just want to get this one right. It's the dream of a lifetime.
  14. there's that! On that note: UPDATE: Got the seats scratched up and fitted in. Even following the plans, they look a little tight together (too close) as compared to the show. But I scaled them, and I only have so much room to work with. I doubt though folks will be looking too closely. At least she has a cockpit now; On now to the EDCC.... Stay tuned...
  15. Here is where picclick is your friend: https://picclick.com/1990-Bandai-Japan-1-55-Macross-VF-1S-Roy-Valkyrie-166471119506.html Picclick is an aggregator that looks at all the stuff Ebay has and you can sert it to find the lowest price, newest item, etc. This one is 119 bucks (for example).
  16. Devcon Plastic Welder: two part epoxy-like adhesive that is strong (3500 PSI), not as brittle as super glue or regular epoxy, can be sanded, filed and drilled, cures in 4 minutes, handled in 1 hour and max strength overnight: https://www.amazon.com/Permatex-84145-Permapoxy-Black-Plastic/dp/B00THUUVSU On that note: do you have pics of the actual break in the part? I might be able to advise you on fixing it.
  17. UPDATE: working on the Pilot/ Co-Pilot Flight Console: With main body on: Once I have this sorted out, then I can begin the front seats and the figures of Hawk and Santini, as well as whatever will be seen of the EEDC (where Santini sits in back). Then I have to sort out making the canopy (oh, joy. ). Stay tuned... Airwolf will be back in a moment (or several)...

  19. Which reminds me... did you ever hear that the band Aerosmith wrote and performed a song specifically for UN Spacy as part of their unveiling of the VF-1?
  20. Okay...you buying? On a more serious note: some heavy-duty references- Aoshima model kit instructions: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10098497 EDCC and Cockpit from series: https://www.airwolf-online.com/edcc Real-life Bell 222 cockpit pics and specs: https://helichicago.com/charter-services/
  21. Personally, I was hoping for a transporter accident where she and the command crew are turned into something resembling Ted from the ending of I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream.
  22. It had it coming. Thanks you (and Thom). Been a lot of bad instances lately.... just trying not to think on them too much. As for Superman: thinking about buying the classic Mego 14 inch figure and a pre-sculpted 1/6 Chris Reeve head and using those to recreate it. Less work and batter materials. Just need to resolve the issue with an idiot on Ebay rooking me on something I ordered 😠 ) As for Airwolf: already removed the metal post for the rotor blades and drilled through the metal to recreate the actual rotor mast assembly. No rest for the pengbuzz. Life is short and the list of projects endless. I wonder if I have enough colors:
  23. Yeah; it's this, only in white and formerly a "coast guard" helo: It's about 1/32 scale ( measures 14 inches from nose to tail); I found what was left of it at an antique mall, and with the main upper being diecast, I should be able to kitbash it without the blasted thing falling apart on me. (I hope.) I plan on doing a limited rear command center for Dom (won't be able to see much from the front), and a full front cockpit for Stringfellow Hawke. Undecided about doing a Caitlin O'Shannessy figure as of yet (kind of on the fence about that). Weapons: may do them as magnetic "plug-ins" that fit onto the exterior. Neodymiums should work. This is something to take my mind off of things, as I had yet another tragedy amongst my models and figures: my custom scratchbuilt 1/6 Christopher Reeve Superman figure got knocked off the shelf (loud "boom box on wheels" came by on the street and vibrated everything badly) and the figure shattered (total loss) and the hand-sewn outfit was melted (landed on the radiator). (That one hurt. ) I'm not going to try rebuilding it, as we have other issues cropping up, and my sculpting skills for faces are no longer what they once were. Also wrestling with Ebay and an idiot seller who's trying to rook us on an item. So, I'll just continue with this. Stay tuned.
  24. My solution: the model is in the trash. Wanted to save this as a tomcat, but that's not going to happen. Honestly, I'm tired of trying with projects; they never seem to come out right anymore. And with space at a premium now, I have no room for "crash dioramas" or projects that fail (not to mention having to explain to the wife that they failed). Just sick of this $#1t.... I'll see you folks around.
