  1. Haven't eaten today; saw this and thought for a moment it said "Supper Pack"!!! So with that....
  2. UPDATE: progress so far:
  3. Or an arm and a leg, but with how wonky my body parts work, I need all the limbs I can get! O.o
  4. Well, thanks to a few things gone right (for once), I was finally able to make a purchase from them!
  5. Helping him out with a project, Thom.
  6. Sorry, but the only one I have is when I took a busted one and carved all new pieces for it, so it's not a standard breakdown. However, several folks here have redone theirs; hopefully someone can help you with it. I'm sure the gang here can get you fixed up in no time flat!
  7. The large antenna removes by undoing the 2 screws on the bridge tower section of the SDF-1. That should come apart in half and then the main mast antenna should come apart. That will also allow for the removal of the smaller antenna on the tower side of the bridge. The other half has one screw; rather than take apart the entire section of the main body the bridge sits on (it's a royal pain!), you could probably use a jeweler's screwdriver to remove the broken masts. Pics of what I mean (screws circled in green):
  8. Thanks! I may well do Automan in the near future! BTW: check your messages
  9. Okay, I replied to your PM.
  10. Let me know if you need Daedalus and/ or Prometheus. I think I still have one of each!
  11. Right; I ran into that recently with some HDMI cables I bought and had to return them. I later found my monitor could support DisplayPort and my PC had a DP port as well, so I went with that instead (bought a better cable this time around instead of bargain basement). Made a considerable difference, and with my monitor having built-in speakers, the DP cable allowed me to drop the aux cable for the speakers. Oh, I can relate:
  12. I think that would work quite well!
  13. The way the fighter is show in M7, it seems like gloss rather than flat:
  14. Okay, time to get to some other folks' posts that I'd been meaning to compliment them on!: NICE!!! Really sweet job on that build @Urashiman!!! Looks like it just stepped right out of the anime!!! I'd love to get a kit of the 1J and the 1S (when it comes out!) and see how I do on them! Really liking where you're taking this one, @nightmareB4macross!! I tired something similar back in the late 90's/ early 2000's, but it never looked right to me. I gave up when the Yamato VF-1 1/48 came out and just got one of those (before it was lost in storage when my jerk brother didn't pay on it! 😠 grrr! ). The flaps caught my attention; I'm floored that you're doing them (in a good way!)!!! GULD!!! The battle is on!! Thanks! It was a fairly close match to be honest; it just needed some work. Yup!!! Thanks Thom; still working on the whee rims though. I did decide to take a look to see if I could find better rims in this scale, but nothing that would work was available. Mag wheels with 7 spoke configuration didn't show up, so I'm trying to work these to where they look good. They're not symmetrical, even though I used a drawn diagram (something shifted during gluing I think). I'm going to see if I can somehow correct that by sanding and using a template to try to locate the uneveness. They do have a 3D print version of the model for 6 bucks, but I don't think I can print just the wheel rims and I also am not sure how to scale it for 1/12. I'd also like to be able to use the rubber tires I have now; the #D print ones look solid. (not to mention the figure wiped me out ) Anyhoo, refining the model, superdetailing and windshield installation coming up. I may also do a diorama for this, and possibly Jesse's Control/ Support at base, Norman Tuttle. Stay tuned...
  15. UPDATE: Well, after discovering that the Jesse Mach (rider for Street Hawk) figure was off scale by a considerable amount, I had to find another one. Thankfully, I found a really cheap Star Wars figure that fit the bill: With that set, I began modifications... Ladies and gentlemen...Conan O'Brien!!!: I shaved down and reworked both the body suit and the head: I also took the liberty of redoing the helmet: Near-final results and original actor's (Rex Smith, circa 1985) image: And where the project stands as of right now: And the original intro for the show: Stay tunes...
  16. Agreed; at least folks outside Japan have a shot at it now, and I'd love to see them do M7 sometime.
  17. Thnaks MT!! Truly appreciate the help with the truck and figure! As for the hair: join the club!! O.o
  18. Thanks MT!! Only issue is: the figure is LESS than 6 inches (JUST figured that out)! So, I need to make a replacement rider for it. Not too much of a pain, just a nuisance. And the air crew truck was a Tamiya, but if it's 1/72, the wheels should be pretty well interchangeable. And I still do need it.
  19. Some stuff from Randy Cooper's 2024 Wonderfest album: (more) https://www.facebook.com/media/set?vanity=randy.cooper.3994&set=a.10161588777535238
  20. Dunno...just trying to understand what Set said.
