The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post
MKT replied to Shawn's topic in Model kits
The sculpt of that Milia figure is extraordinarily sharp & well defined for a custom. -
Love this. Quite some cool playability, and I like the idea of powered suit ever ready in hand when ejecting from cockpit.

Even if they are yet uncolored, they look to be the best looking ones so far!

Max Factory Plamax 1/20 Lyn Minmay. Skipped when they were on PO, and even the reissues. But finally picked an original issue up, to be built on retirement. The new Basara & Mylene ones being previewed looks good though, & will likely get them.

So far, all 3 missile pairs do have their place in the tray. Cribbing from anymoon.com: Arad’s 31S: Hayate’s 31J Kai: Mirage’s Supers:

Bandai did tease Bogue’s red 262hs after so many years, but it really isn’t the 262 variant we want. There was a time going into Delta that I thought Bandai would make all the valks in the show in full force, especially coming from Frontier. Even many Macross 30 schemes got released during the Frontier era. Then something changed along the way mid-Delta & suddenly full line-ups get abandoned.

New pics are cool. Though the bike & figure set still look like rendered images..

Akai Koudan Zillion & The Acquisition of a Grail

Nice pic showing the great articulation Pose+ is known for.. This sells it even more for me somewhat. Though I can't help feeling JJ appears to be the main star of this toy package lol. Many of the poses he's been put in look to put other established figure-centric lines to shame. -
I had to look really hard to spot the differences and wondering if its due to the camera, but this encapsulates it.

LOL Max will probably take out both at same time in 10 seconds.. at both their age combined in their prime.

Haha just an app filter to give it that effect.

Who is the better pilot, Roy or Ozma? Actually I'm not even sure if Roy did pilot that YF-29, as I never played Macross 30.

I have a few Threezero items, and their construction & engineering is great, with smart use of metal in places to give a nice feeling of heft without compromising durability or posability. They usually punch above their price point compared to established Japanese brands like Bandai. From what I see online here and there, there's very little quality issues on modern Threezero products, but as with other brands, sometimes it does rear its head and its usually due to tolerances errors rather than outright engineering or design incompetence. Was expecting reviews to have start to come out based on previous info of April release, but their latest update is that release have been pushed to this month. So, anytime now I guess.

Yup the multitude of apps these days makes it fun to experiment with different effects.. The pic is mainly a blended / double exposed image of the original pic & a cartoon-filtered of itself, hence the additional warbly outlines.

Haha truly forgotten about that. These days I find this scheme nicer than when it first came out. Perhaps it's just something different after seeing lots of canon VF-1s lately.

Post Your Collections - General Toy Collection Displays

Dana really has big hair here lol.. But it's nice comparison pic between both figures. Assuming KC will be reusing Dana's body for their hinted & eventual Rook figure, it should be able to fit the Cyclone nicely.- 90 replies

^^ I really like the Low Vis VF-1, the scheme balances both fantasy & realism in a great way, and made more awesome by the elevator diorama. I hope you don't mind me using your pic @jvmacross, and made some stylistic edits to it. Will delete it if you are not comfy with it..

Consolidated Megazone 23 Toy/Model Thread for 2017-2018
MKT replied to RavenHawk's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The ankles not sliding explains the leg proportions somewhat, and it's a middle compromise between both modes. Thinking back, I now realize why the HG YF-19 also have somewhat short legs in Battroid, with big feet in Fighter because it's the same compromise at the ankles.- 792 replies

The Shogun Warriors VF-1 is obviously a nostalgia bait for adult collectors haha.. Not for me too, but I understand why some would get it. This is actually quite an awesome illustration!
