  1. Watched Rebel Moon Part 2 as well. Whereas the Part 1 was almost in the realm of 'so bad its good', this one is just a snooze because everything is just predictable. Kinda thought there's less use of non-sensical slow motion though, but man the scenes that's supposed to evoke emotions are really cringey. I haven't this much urge to look away at some of them since seeing Anakin & Padme rolling on the grass. It's mind boggling how they can even announce that it's gonna be a total 6-parter flick.
  2. Basically a one-man operation, with terrible communication based on quick search: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/sidesevenexports.com https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunpla/comments/xgbmrm/psa_dont_buy_from_side_seven_exports_they_will/
  3. Great find on the higher reso pics. Initially I wasn’t sure if the colours were photoshopped onto their grey prototype (like what KC usually do), but on my tiny phone screen now, it looks like the latest colour images of the Cyclone are wholly rendered. I’m quite the opposite, I like this latest redesign much better than their initial images. Still find some surfaces are over-designed, but the overall proportions look better to my eyes. One major difference are the wheels - they aren’t so huge now.
  4. The chest does remind of Yammie’s 1/48 GBP. Which could be a good thing; classic puffed up chest power pose.
  5. I got it at slightly above MSRP. This Midnight version don’t seem to have many fans, especially when the normal version have tripled in price going by Mandarake’s rates. It wasn’t on my radar either as I’m usually not a fan of transparent toys, but Macross plastic crack kicked in strongly when the opportunity came up.
  6. KC must have gotten quite some feedback to change the colours rather substantially so quickly. Still not Takani’s but much more acceptable than what they initially showed.
  7. Updated Toynami / Moshow Cyclone, now with colour.
  8. Interesting transformation ideas. That 90's style CGI scheme really looks creepy though.
  9. Definitely check out the link @no3Ljm posted. I'll just say that for a 16 years old mold, the tolerances & precision beat many toys today, including the DX, and that qualifies the Arcadia as a legendary mold in my view. It may not have the heft of a DX for its size since it has very little metal, but the plastics are strong, withstands many transformation cycles (though there are one or two areas that need caution less they break), and the joints won't really go weak over time.
  10. Now that I looked back on the Tamashii page for the 31J with Speakerpods, the blurb seems pretty inconsistent. On one hand they make a big deal about Absolute Live, as if it came from that movie (the movie doesn't show it). Even the box has the Absolute Live logo. On other hand, in the same page they acknowledge it comes from the series' Episode 6. Which we know the Speakerpods are shown with Supers.
  11. Now the long wait for Max figure, & even longer for Miriya. Both of which were promised by.. Q4 last year.
  12. Blame HG! It's their fault, always & forever..
  13. Moderoid Garland box art. Mercy Rabbit is my new favorite illustrator..
  14. Sort of remembered all of them got Supers in the series. So looked it up and from Episode 6:
  15. Yup too bad it is a statue, and I gather many of us here are not that big fans of them, including myself lol. But what gives me hope from this, is that more toys will come out. I'm noticing the recent trend of old IPs, when brought out of hibernation, will have multiple companies making toys/kits for them around the same time. Arcadia seem to be having their hands tied these days around current projects but I do hope they announce a v2 following from the old Yammies.. Great assemble pic!
  16. All the Sentinel Ride Armors are great items. Hopefully you got Gate as well. I suspect the production numbers for Gate is quite low; it is surprisingly sold out just about everywhere, whereas the original 3 4 variants always had some stock sitting somewhere or other for some time after release / reissue.
  17. That would be a big improvement to an otherwise perfectly executed toy. Never understood why they did what they did.
  18. Other than an excellent presentation by Prime 1, skip to the 1:17:40sec mark, for a brief teaser:

  20. Ignoring who this is, I gotta say I'm quite impressed with the quality of UFO catcher / prize figures these days. The sculpt is pretty sharp, with very limited seam lines & molding flashes, and even some shading. This is even for a Sega figure as below, which traditionally have always been lagging behind other prize figure brands. Best of all, prize figure prices have stayed pretty much the same, as opposed to scaled figures whose prices have easily jumped 50% over the past handful of years.
