    1/55's revisited

Very nice mods! You've managed to make your own Missing Link 1/55.
  2. Looking at the close-up pics, I can get a sense it's gonna be built very solidly despite all the extra moving parts. Not a surprise considering its Pose+. Maybe we are too harsh on it at this stage - at least its not a straight up larger size of Sentinel's, but has its own extra gimmicks and features.
  3. I wonder if there’s also way to stow B2Five’s ride armor into Pose+ Legioss. That would be cool.
  4. I'm guessing the revival Alto Tornado set has the same fixes.. double screws on shoulders, one less screw at the hips.
  5. The new opening flaps at the wings, are the real vertical stabs on the Legioss. Because those stabs on the arms are comically tiny, much more so than Sentinel's. But gotta acknowledge how much Sentinel's Legioss have moved the goalpost since every Legioss after it are adopting the same basic proportions.
  6. This VF-19S is my very first Yamato valk all those years ago, and my 3rd 1/60. I remember being blown away by the built & engineering of it, & how tight the panel gaps are in Fighter as opposed to the v2 VF-25/29. Don’t think toy technology has advanced much since then, at least for our VFs.
  7. ^^ Very nice. Still kicking myself for not getting the PF SDF-1 then. Thought I would be perfectly satisfied with just the normal version.
  8. That could be one reason why I haven't transformed it, in the back of my mind I don't want to find out lol. Can those cracks be seen without transforming out of Fighter?
  9. After so many years I still haven't brought the VF-11B out of Fighter..
  10. When I see truck mode, 2 things come to mind.. One being it looks like the Kai's behind is stuck in a barrel, and he can't dislodge himself. The other is that same mode somehow recalls a very old show:
  11. LOL! Perfect pic. The fighter front end is such a turn off. They managed to take a nice sleek radome & make it look like a jet of the 40's / 50's that has nose intakes.
  12. Review is up. Thanks @jenius. https://anymoon.com/blog/?p=18486#more-18486
  13. That SDF-1 brick figure really is huge & imposing. Nice to see it can do a proper A-stance.
  14. No it doesn’t. The KO is only as far as the figure itself. No chip inside.
  15. I agree at this size everything just manages to hold together, and the same engineering at larger scale will not work. Once the SAP packs are on in Fighter, it teeters into handling nightmare territory, as the lack of arms tabbing into anything will drive one slightly crazy trying to align them symmetrically whilst trying not to bump other parts off position. Other than that, the plastics feel strong and Bandai made a good choice designing a central metal frame holding most parts together. But yes, the sculpt is really beautiful and I just wish there's officially more adventurous color scheme for it, rather than just sparse, re-colored stripes for the other pilots.
  16. Not a purchase, but someone gifted me a little Amiibo Sonic. It's a KO, but I'm pretty happy with it just as a little reminder of the Megadrive / Genesis gaming days.
  17. I assume the suit is a copy of Yamato's? But I may be wrong, apologies if so. This suit is another reason to continue holding on & love the v2 VF-1s..
  18. The suit looks really great, almost indistinguishable to the original.
  19. The YF-29B is my second ever DX Chogokin purchase years ago. Certainly a very busy-looking valk, perhaps until the 31 came along. Forward to today, I find it weird no super parts ever made for it. But it could be canon to the game as I never played it...
  20. Hmm I can't really tell what does this change do again?
  21. Dial up the exposure x 1000. Legs compressed here looking quite squat.
  22. Excellent! I’m wondering how’s the quality of the stand in the Deluxe version.
