Weren’t there some from kaiyodo a few years back? Maybe it was wave, but I’m pretty sure it was kaiyodo.

I’m a bit surprised that the hobby shops around here have been getting lacquer paints more , probably since the gundam hobby has gotten more popular. Hobby town has a lot of Bandai products and have stared carrying mr color and some of the tamiya lacquer paints. It may also be that model master died as an enamel provider.

Never say never.

I always liked that one due to the odd guitar sound. I remember wonder what they were doing to come up with that sound, it’s so weird

The other night when I saw that on preorder, I was thinking that it may lead to a serious attempt at fss toys

Barbie (live action), in theaters Jul 21, 2023

I’m not a Barbie person, but I’m not even excited when a Transformers or GI Joe movie comes out. Maybe if a good He Man movie happens, but even then it would be tough to take a movie with a main character named He Man seriously and I don’t think I’d want just a parody. Good or bad, 155 million on it’s opening weekend will definitely get a sequel for those that grew up with Barbie- 66 replies

There are right ways and wrong ways and new methods all the time. I’m still not at a point where I like using acrylic paints, mostly due to the ease of lacquer paint, but I also think that the pros outweigh the cons for those that know what they’re doing with them. I think the two biggest pros are definitely cost and safety. You definitely can’t just start using lacquer paints in the living room and a quick trip to Michael’s with ten bucks gets you a pretty full range of colors.

That’s the statue one I was talking about. It was listed as an action figure, but it really was just a plastic statue. It looks amazing on a shelf, but my imagination at the time always wanted an articulated version. The one below was the figure I referred to as my second spawn action figure. I have a permanent scar on my pointer finger from opening it. That one had the clam shell packaging with the mini comic. It he plastic was so sharp when I cut the top to open it that it sliced into my left pointer finger. It cut deep, but I remember being out of band aids and had to tape it together to stop the bleeding. It didn’t stop me from getting to the figure for long though.

I got my first regult for $20. The add on is quite high in price. That being said, I’d love to have at least one but not sure on funds

I would love a talking figure. He had some of the greatest lines in that movie.

I saw it up for preorder yesterday. It looks impressive, but I don’t have the space

There is a sensor on top of the box. I just like to make that joke. I guess those would be side view sensors, but they always looked like the main eyes to me

I’ve heard they work really well when used with lacquer thinners and top coated. I know what you mean though, since I used to brush paint kits and tried thinning with water. That stuff was horrible.

To be fair, at least the new one can see straight ahead

But not better than Gummy Bears? They were bouncing here and there and everywhere

Will this be an articulated figure or a statue? It doesn’t look like the one displayed has any joints, but it’s definitely impressive on the details. I remember the medieval Spawn as my second figure from the original line. At the time, I thought it was the coolest comic book action figure. I think that’s been the closest to his original appearance. I also wouldn’t mind the Greg Capullo version from the spawn bible as an articulated figure rather than the more statue like one.

My reason for not liking them is that they make themselves a bigger target. They increase their visibility by two or three times

The movie looks bad, but even if it was good I don’t think I’d bother with it. I kinda doubt there will be too many that are not little girls wanting to see this, and then ignorant parents finding out it’s not as much of a kids thing- 66 replies

28 really isn’t that young. By the comments here and not knowing who he is, I was thinking he was only a teenager or something. Thanks for the info

I’ll wait to make a judgment. I was surprised that I ended up liking the new Predator. I kinda hope that this is more of a horror than a sci-fi action thing. Maybe something using the alien as more of a spook than an easily exterminated bug. If it goes the simple horror thing a younger character might work as the main.

Seems like this season may just be the anime episodes, but there’s still news coming in about shows. I don’t know if they’ll try to replace Roiland with anyone good or not.
-
I don’t know about Rick and Morty, but it’s kinda funny that the replacement for Justin Roiland in Solar Opposites isn’t even trying to sound like him.

I’m curious as well. I’m super new to this thing. Like an ignorant parent to a kids gadget new. Seriously, that wasn’t an allegory. by the way, I still haven’t put down Target Earth. There’s a bunch of other games I should try, but I can’t stop getting my butt kicked at this thing.
