  1. I was too young to see Rozz back in the Christian Death days, but I did see Shadow Project once upon a time. That first Christian Death album is still one of my favorite albums, although most of the people I know don’t like it when I have it playing. I just love the mix of sounds and the Adolescents style guitar sounds mixed in such an experimental way. Another one of those singers that I miss.
  2. Then I guess they’re not happy. The only film he had a major hand in, was still considered a flop. Although I really liked The Suicide Squad and still think that’s the best film in the dceu. As far as since he’s taken over, nothing else has really made money back. I’m a bit surprised at WB, that with all the hack and slash that happened to the company, that they’re still going ahead. I’m pretty sure Aquaman 2 will do a little better than the Flash, but I’m not sure if it will be enough. Honestly, I’ve always hated Aquaman as a character. I don’t think anyone other than a few die hard nerds ever liked Aquaman. They pretty much had to make him a completely new character to get people to like him at all, but like the Flash, Aquaman gets some bad rep as a film due to ties with a disgraced actor even though those parts may have been trimmed or removed almost entirely, I don’t know if people are gonna be lining up for tickets. I’m curious about Blue Beetle since I actually like that character and the kid playing him, but it would probably have fit better in a completely rebooted universe. But there’s already dislike from the trailer by the more triggered nerds and those will affect the ticket sales, but who knows if it will be significant
  3. The box art still looks tan to me, but not as much as usual and the orange is super bright. That really doesn’t matter because your color scheme looks great on that kit that you did. It really makes it stand out
  4. I honestly think the drinker is wrong about that. I feel like if they got better writing teams that the films could be better for both Marvel and dc. With better films the audience will come back.
  5. You gotta remember that they are absolutely obsessed with metallic paint right now. They’re like children that just discovered metallic paint was a thing, and now they have to use it on everything they do
  6. Back when I was a kid, it was a really big deal whenever the concord landed at an airport. I think we were waiting on a flight at LAX “I could be wrong about the airport “ when it arrived once and there was such a big commotion and the crowd was tough to get around. I got a fairly good look through the window, but not an upclose view.
  7. I would probably suggest that if you’re not into multiverse overuse, then you probably wouldn’t like it. But if you like Ezra miller Flash, then you might like it. Seing as how it’s his movie, then I’d probably say it depends on how much you like that character more than anything.
  8. my daughter loves to cosplay and is pretty good at getting free autographs. We had to pay for the cd in the last one, but definitely worth it.she was absolutely in tears meeting the og Idol for Macross and it totally made her day. personally, I’ve never been the type to want to bug for an autograph, but my daughter often gets them without asking somehow. I also usually don’t like to get into autograph lines. I don’t mind talking to people though and my daughter seems better at it than I am
  9. He has definitely been missed since his passing. Great music for sure
  10. I think I caught a quick glimpse of your kit on Adam Savages Tested. Their channel seems to mostly focus on the Starwars and short circuit stuff, but they did a few quick passes by the competition table and I’m not sure, but it looked like for a split second it showed the vf-4
  11. For me, his work was everywhere in some form or another as a kid growing up. It was on comics to cartoons and albums and games and posters. It’s the kind of art that I think would be hard to be as accepted in mainstream these days and I can understand why, but I still can’t look down on it
  12. I get what you’re saying about handling theses. I’m less likely to handle the expensive toy than I would be to handle a fully painted less expensive model kit. It’s just weird to think of leaving the toy alone while playing around with a model
  13. I like the Mcfarlane Knightfall Batman better so far, although this one does get some of the odd things about the artwork. Also looks like he’s getting ready for that late 90’s rave scene with his pacifier
  14. It looked great before and even better now with those trophies for a well deserved display
  15. There’s a few things that feel really off about that Max figure. The cloth looks like Felt and is a bit weird looking and gives him a kinda more buff look. The face seems like it’s compensating for the larger build and while better than most if not all max action figures or dolls does seem a bit like some dude in cosplay like jvmacross said. I think they should ditch the cloth outfit or use a thinner material
  16. Have you completed them? I would love to see some detailed pictures
  17. The scale and material don’t bug me as much as price. I really wish I could afford that set, so I’m just gonna hope that moderoid does more than just a garland kit
  18. As said above these are Robotech Toys, not Macross Toys. Also sometimes Transformers toys. I know the basic toy is something that could be seen as the same, but Printed Names are different. Someone wanting a Max Jenius versus markings for Max Sterling and little things like that or box markings for those that don’t open a toy are things that matter to a collector. It would be a similar thing to a GI Joe collector in the U.S. versus the odd British version. It’s similar toys and some cases the same toy, just different name or packages that would turn off a collector Bassically look for Macross branded items in it’s dedicated toy section since this is a Macross site and if you don’t mind Robotech there’s a spot here or there are dedicated Robotech sites, but this site is where all the cool kids hang out, even the ones with Robotech nostalgia
  19. I’m the wrong person to ask here. I have a super hard time letting things go. I have several items that are taking up too much space, but I look at an item while opening a box and I just want to put it back on display.
  20. I don’t remember them in the show, but I didn’t watch much of the stuff in the 90’s or beyond. They may just be cashing in on the zombie thing so they can reuse figure parts that already existed
  21. It’s possible, the other classics haven’t had any additions. They recently hg kits for Vifamwith the Vifam, a Sirbine, the Dragonar 1 for example but haven’t even announced other kits for those, but those were web exclusives. The hg Macross line has so far 4 kits either in the works or have been released, but those are mostly standard releases so maybe since this Scopedog is a standard release they might do more kits in this line. I would like to see other kits for the previously mentioned lines and if they get serious about Votoms in hg, I will be tempted. It’s kind of a guessing game with Bandai in that you sometimes get one great kit and nothing else to go with it If you’re interested in smaller kits for Votoms, wave has been doing a fairly good job at getting a good amount of the designs out there in 1/35. The Bandai kits look more poseable though. Although to get a good complete scopedog with accessories, it may end up the same price since Bandai is only doing the basic unit and then web exclusives for the add ons By the way, if you have the 1/20 kit, I highly recommend building it. It’s a real joy with so much detail and avoiding seams and painting. If you’re a lazy builder and don’t want to do all the extra work, you can easily get away with just snapping it up and a little panel lining or add a little weathering
  22. I have that issue with a lot of ova additions to classic mecha. Like in Gundam 0083 the GM N type custom is a predecessor to the Gm 2 and 3 and looks way more advanced than either. Even the ones from 0080 look more advanced than stuff from ZZ Gundam. Or more recently there’s those new designs from Mospeada that look way more futuristic than the original designs even though it’s a prequel story. Sometimes these things end up being cool enough to forgive though and other times they look a bit too out of place. I do like the VF-0, but I don’t connect Macross Zero to any of the other shows or movies. I kinda think of it as a separate thing altogether like Tenchi. Sure it’s got Roy, but I don’t feel the connection and treat it like an alternate universe, like DYRL
