    I’ll give it a try as well. I may hate the gundam, but I don’t mind the characters yet. The other mobile suit getting trashed in the trailer looks better, but I really only got a quick glimpse. Maybe some of the other designs are better looking and maybe the show could turn out good. as far as the split on good and bad halves, I hope this doesn’t turn out to be an almost 59 episode show. 25 ish works better for me and some of my favorite gundam stuff was around the 12 ish or less with the 90’s ova’s.

    That was more than 20 years ago. I think they would eventually try to do it in hg though. I think their vf19 kit was newer of course in a different scale and they did a very recent hg kit of that, but they have a thing for putting out a new version of things. Hasegawa on the other hand is usually more about putting something out with a slight change. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t doubt that Bandai will also reprint the old kit as soon as another anniversary happens. I would love to see a vf-11 and I’m pretty sure the 25 and 31 are already in the works. But I think their bigger issue with the vf-1 isn’t as much wave, but harmony gold. Bandai wouldn’t be able to make it for other countries without some kind of deal and they’re very stubborn. I remember the problems they had with the Star Wars models. And then there’s the problem for the consumer if they just did Japanese releases. It may not even be available at hlj. The recent Mospeada toys weren’t even available there.

    That David Mcallum one was always great for an inner city shakedown movie scene.

    The colors make the shapes very confusing. I probably should have mentioned it was doing a high kick. It’s an uuuuuugly design with uuuuuugly colors making it a real uuuuuugly duuuuuuckling

    The arms on the back are actually its thrusters and the feet are way worse than you think. More like a broken horseshoe attached at only one sidethis is the hg kit and it kinda thickens up the feet, probably for stability and still look horrible. The actual feet in the design are much thinner and look like they’d snap apart

    I’m pretty sure that if Bandai does them, they’d be the 1/100 hg kits. As far as destroids, there’s a weird possibility of wave, but I think they’re kinda more of a dream at this point but I’d love to see those or even the odd zentraedi stuff from Macross 2

    I didn’t hate the aerial, but a lot of the designs were very ugly and awkwardly stumpy looking in that show. But I get what you’re saying. The overall designs in these share losing their elegance for trying too hard to be different and failing hard. I don’t know who keeps trying to make feet uglier and uglier on these things and this new one has the worst of them.

    I didn’t think they’d do zentraedi mecha at all, so I wouldn’t rule it out. Although I kinda think Playmax or Bandai would do them first.

    This is definitely the ugliest gundam ever. From the head to the feet, and the clown colors everywhere don’t help. It’s a mess.

    Definitely the ugliest gundam ever and the colors are the most clownish even amongst the usual clown colored gundams. Yuk!!

    I really hate the name of this show though. I hope it gets changed. Imagine trying to tell people what you’re watching and having to try and say that title.

    I don’t mind the characters so far. It kinda reminds me of Gainax stuff. And the gundam sorta has a bit of a newer evangelion look. Although I do think the gundam is so ugly that I’m not interested in a kit or a toy from this. The premise sounds a bit like a cross between G gundam and buildfighters. I think the reason I don’t mind the character animation is because I’ve been doing a rewatch of the seed stuff and those characters are drawn really poorly and now that I’m into the seed destiny episodes I get what Seto was saying about the characters looking alike. There was a whole conversation going on with Athrun and until his name was mentioned I thought it was shin and oddly shin is kinda drawn almost as a missing link between Athrun and Kira and I sometimes get a little confused between Kira and Shin also. I kinda forgot about the meer Campbell imposter thing and i know I’m gonna get confused there as well, but I think that one was intentional, but pointless i guess Gundam seed makes almost anything look better

    A lot of the metal build figures look kinda Legoish and these don’t really look out of place with those

    Watched Black Friday last night on prime. It’s bad, but does have some great moments and maybe the most creative way of defeating a giant monster that I’ve seen in a live action movie. Plus it has Bruce Campbell and yet again he finds a way to shine in a bad movie. The movie is pure cheese, but might be entertaining to those that are fans of Bruce or for those that can have fun with a bad movie.

    Even if it happens, it’s probably gonna be on Hulu rather than D+ out here. I keep checking both every now and then hoping it’s happening, but so far nothing yet for the U.S.
