I think it was meant to be. The diorama has much more to look at now

It’s hard for me to come up with an example that Toynami made on their own. Most were someone else’s product

Macross Zero Limited Edition Blu-Ray (US ver?)
Big s replied to Seto Kaiba's topic in Movies and TV Series
Aren’t there only 5 episodes? Is it really crammed? -
Looks great, price sucks though. I only went for the basic. I still think this would have been a top seller as a regular release and that they should save kickstarters for characters that are less of a guarantee. Something like an Awsome cogliostro or lesser known characters

It ain’t secret wars without Kang on the discount shelf for 20 years after the other figures are long gone. i remember still seeing Kang in Kay bee toy stores after they rebranded to KB toys before they closed and a friend say some still at pick’n Save after that. He was so unwanted that I thought I’d never see a day where a toy store didn’t have a Kang

Saw this up for preorder a couple weeks ago. Kinda curious if Academy/Wave will do the OVA versions as well, since these look so good

It’s definitely a big boy. Lots of cool features included like ratchet joints and wiring details

Looks like it’s coming along. Have you been able to test the articulation yet?

Episode 4 took me a while to get through. I think I hate the characters in this show. Most of them are either bi…es or weenies. And I really hate the not hobbits. Those characters even got so annoying that they’re nothing more than gender swapped Sam and Frodo but somehow less mentally capable. Tom is the odd one in that he’s a character that most book fans had really wanted to see, but this version is kind of its own character. episode 5 is a bit better since there’s more action to distract from the stupidity. But the show at this point feels very very rushed. I think they knew they probably won’t get another season and are pushing things really quickly here. I’d still say that episode 5 is the best of the season, but still not great.

I hate the face as well. I’m with you on the wait for a blueberry I used to have the big clunky Bandai 17, but i think you’re right that they haven’t done Ray’s as a transforming toy yet.

General 1/18 Scale Figure and Toy Thread
Big s replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
actually a bit less than that for the preorder. The yen was a little different a couple years ago and the boxed figures were almost $40, now they’re less than $20 -
It’s a similar use, but I feel like the eraser putty is a little easier to shape for tough spots

They’re half price now. Can’t really say they’re too expensive anymore, still a little up there. Totally makes me feel like I should have waited. Oh well -
I get it from art or hobby stores like Michael’s or hobby lobby. It’s rubbery and a little sticky. It’s used primarily for shaping and precise erasing or sketch art, but found out the stuff is great for masking for models. It sticks a little and can be shaped for tight spaces or ripped apart for smaller pieces or tiny areas. It can totally be reused project after project and somehow stays sticky by rolling it back up. I’ve got the same reused clump for over a decade and recently bought some more to use in a larger project.this is the particular brand that I buy, it’s a little square for just over a dollar. It’s great stuff and well worth a purchase

Would be interesting in a black light as well. It would definitely fit the Macross hippie vibe

Looks like tomorrow at the U.S. site for the preorder. It lists 9/11 9pm eastern time, I think that’s 6 over here on the west coast, but my math is always a little off.a bit pricey, but I’ve wanted one for a long time, although I would’ve preferred the zeta version, this redesign looks pretty mean. Just too bad it only looks like it has one set of hands

I think it works pretty well for the fold effect, but I do think other boxes have more dynamic pictures, just this one serves the purpose well for what it’s trying to convey

Definitely getting one of these

I don’t have pictures of the part on the regult, but I chromed it using gloss black and Mr super metallic 2 silver. I think it was the silver, it was super thinned to a 5 to 1 ratio or more of thinner to paint. It comes out as a really durable chrome effect. Then I pushed some eraser putty into the sunken parts after making sure everything was cured for a few days. Then sprayed flat black enamel over the part. The used a light bit of zippo fluid and did a wipe over the raised parts. The pulled the putty out of the sunken areas.

I knew it had red in there somewhere. Australia has a few of these films recently with a killer Kangaroo in one or two, a couple movies about the great Emu war and a few about their infamous Drop Bears recently

I actually like that particular Joker a lot compared to most of the figures of him.
