  1. Truthful Time Ghost sounds like an entertaining movie, but I’m absolutely burned out on time travel multiverse movies.
  2. I just checked Hobby search and their prices on the Queadluun Rau kits are both $35 each. Those kits are so large with a lot of plastic and huge boxes. They’re definitely great for the builders that are low on cash and want an impressively detailed kit at a big size
  3. I mainly remember her because her death showed that for all the flaws of this series that lightsaber stab wounds should always be a fatality and nobody in this show got up in the next scene after a stabby stab stab.
  4. She was pretty bad as well. OSHA was going through a lot of trauma and all Jekki could think about was getting some and leaving her quick because she doesn’t do emotional attachment. She was scum and it was a good thing she got triple tapped
  5. Their engineering on their newer kits are getting far better than they used to be as well. They’re really impressive kits these days
  6. The first half of the show was Sol antagonizing the situation. He’s still an antagonist. Smilo may have been more in the shadows in the first half, but at the second half of the series he was definitely a protagonist.
  7. That’s defining the Jedi and especially Sol. He’s the adversary. His actions led to everything from the start and constantly antagonizes the situation by his lies and his constant stalling to reveal the truth and he’s also antagonizing the audience by playing on their frustrations at the show itself. Smilo fits into your protagonist description pretty well because he helps drive the story forward especially when he teams up with OSHA. They end Sols constant antagonism in a pretty epic way in comparison to the rest of the show. Definitely can’t disagree here though. They’re all basically two sides of the same butt hole
  8. It really was a big mistake to portray the Jedi this way. It makes it really tough to go back into other projects and try to make them heroes when they’re now a metaphor for the Spanish Inquisition. It makes Palpatine seem like a hero for having a plan to wipe them out
  9. Actually he was a protagonist. The Jedi were the Antagonists of this particular series. They were kidnapping children and then abandoning them. They lied to OSHA, they killed her family. One was a spoiled brat that just wanted to go home and when things went south he went into hiding and eventually committed suicide. One used to be her best bud, but didn’t trust her and constantly threw accusations at her. Another was trying to get in her pants when she knew OSHA was dealing with a lot of heavy mental trauma. Another had Drinking problems and died in a bar. One was so clouded by self righteousness that he lied and could’ve ended all the conflict by just telling the truth. And the worst offender was a wookie that decided to do the ultimate evil by shaving its head. And they were all led by an evil green lady that abuses her pupils until they become a sad simp, and it’s obvious she was trying that evil technique on Smilo. Smilo was the only one that took OSHA in and didn’t lie to her and gave her the freedom to make her own choices. He saved her at the end of the series.
  10. Yeah, because they charge between five and ten bucks and then shipping and taxes it might be about the same price
  11. Those are cool One to one might be a bit much unless you don’t mind using extra thin paint. I’d start smaller, maybe about just enough to have quarter of the snout and let it soak in for a couple hours and see what it’s like. Try stirring it to get a feel and see if it mixes and if it’s too gloppy you can add a little thinner as you go. If it has had chunks, but some is liquid, let it set for a little longer like overnight or something. lacquer paint seem like they can be rescued often. Some Ma. k. Builders brush the paint and will use dry pallets to mix paint and use. Sometimes they leave them on the pallet when they have to do other things and just revitalize it when getting back to the project later. It’s not something that works with acrylics very well. Enamel is an iffy one, it sometimes works and other times not so much and ends up chunky
  12. Not sure if that stuff will really stick. It will lay down well, but probably rub off easily and the rubbery stuff doesn’t handle top coats well.
  13. I actually was about 50/50 on it. They like to make silly mistakes on D+, but lately they’ve been getting a little quicker with the cancel button. Willow sucked, but they pulled that one pretty fast and I think that was kinda the beginning there. It’s just too bad that they won’t just make better shows that people could care about watching in the first place. The Acolyte didn’t deserve a second season and honestly felt complete for the most part by the en anyway. The good guys beat the bad guys and went off into the sunset or something. There were a few loose ends, but nothing that felt important.
  14. It does come with the decals and stickers. That’s one advantage the p Bandai items usually have over the standard release items.
  15. Best way to handle soft material is honestly to just leave it be. There aren’t many paints that work on them, but in the grooves on the old hg kits that had rubbery joints, I found that games workshop paints don’t come out of the grooves easily. I did a panel lining with their black and it gave a pretty good effect since nothing was in contact with those areas and the gw paints are a little rubbery themselves. Those parts also don’t sand well, so for mold line a sharp knife blade works if you have a steady hand. I think I remember someone using plastidip on them, but I’d definitely test before use. As far as being cheaper, it’s probably due to the age of that kit. It’s pretty old at this point and all the newer hg web exclusives are really pricey between 35 and 50 bucks here in the U.S.
  16. I didn’t say he was the greatest character, or particularly good, just that he was the most compelling in this particular show filled with absolutely lame characters and oddly made his character stand out from the bunch. And he was able to compel the main character to become the “Acolyte”
  17. The most compelling character survived actually. It’s to bad the show sucked so bad that we didn’t get to see much of him. I thought she was kind forgettable other than having one great scene still best part of the whole show
  18. From what I’ve gathered, the mg is the old one. But it really is hard to find info on non gundam kits. I had to actually check the runners on the Dunbine hg kit to see that it actually was an all new kit. I skipped the hg Virunvee, and now I’m wondering if that was also a brand new kit. I may have to get one to find out if it gets rereleased like the hg Dunbine and the Dragonar 1
  19. I’m still hoping that since Macross is really popular in the models again currently that Wave might consider giving us a Spartan in 1/72 scale. There have been a lot of surprises recently and if not Wave, maybe Hasegawa once they finish off their Zentraedi kits. Maybe Max Factory could jump on it if the others don’t. Who knows, maybe since they have put out some larger kits, an unholy 1/72 Monster might be a consideration
  20. I know the feeling. Personally, I usually have time to snip out parts at work on kits, but I can’t do the real messy stuff like paint or putty yet. Haven’t had much free time at the house to do anything fun for a bit. Hopefully things look better for you and your aunt. Cancer can be a rough one, but good things can happen and better treatments seem to be on the horizon
  21. Please build right away!! And make sure to show it off and let us know all the details
  22. I heard it works good, but I think any lacquer thinner works. I’ve resurrected dry bottles with the leveling thinner
  23. Dinocross is after Maclobster. it took quite a few crustaceans before Eva got an evolutionary bump to land animal. But at least it gives hope for Skull squadron raptor.
