That’s pretty much every princess in every video game franchise. They either have bad directional sense or are very prone to capture, because they forget to pay their guards or something

I don’t know if it’s even a spoiler anymore with every YouTube and news article posting it directly on the thumbnail

That’s an awesome display

Unfortunately there’s no alternative for southern cross fans. If any of the major Japanese companies did an action figure of her in her armor, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. The Japanese companies don’t want to touch Southern Cross mainly due to it being a failure. On top of that I wonder if there’s also licensing issues on top of that. There are a lot of cool classic 80’s anime getting new products, but I and probably most of the few fans of Southern Cross have little hope for any products like action figures or model kits. Personally I don’t like the direction they’re taking on this figure and disappointed with the company overall and unless I see really good pics and a decent review of the figure, I’ll skip it

What process did you use to do the wash? If you used a clear coat, you may be able to just do a light sand with a high grit sand paper if thinners don’t work. Just curious about the products and process you used and maybe there’s a simple solution to the problem.

I guess it’s just me trying to wrap my head around a service that barely has content cutting content, even if it wasn’t good

I kinda want to see some more pictures before deciding on this one. So far I think it looks better than the previous release and definitely better than the hasbro ones

I heard it was leaving the other day, and still a bit thrown off that they would just remove one of the few original shows they have, even if it sucked.
-
It would probably give a lot of space to work with

I’d be more interested to see if they updated the armor.

I’m more impressed by the box art than the kit

Great to see a team effort and awesome way to involve the son

Anyway gotta say thanks for posting those Tina Turner songs. She definitely had a strong voice and even though I don’t regularly listen to her I do get that sense of nostalgia when I hear her songs.

Looks great

I was really surprised to hear the news. Just last Friday Ghost had put out a cover of We Don’t Need Another Hero and as much as I love that band and their cover, they definitely don’t have as strong a vocal power as Tina Turner. Since it came out I’ve been listening to both versions here and there over just the last few days and then to hear this news is really sad.

I still haven’t been able to watch the new show. The redesign looks so off putting, almost like a final fantasy reject, that I just don’t really want to watch it. I still haven’t heard from anyone else that’s seen it, so there’s not even a good recommendation to go on

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, in theaters summer 2023
Big s replied to Duke Togo's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I’m not really too interested in it and like a lot of movies lately, I’ll wait till someone has something good to say about it. I’ve mentioned before that this is the first time I wasn’t excited about an Indy film and it really is unfortunate. A few years ago, I would’ve bought a ticket on nostalgia alone, but too many franchises have fizzled bad in the last couple years and it doesn’t help that this movie seems to just be copying those. It’s pulling the time travel/ multiverse gimmick, the everything went wrong in my life depressed main character gimmick and main character replacement gimmick that all pretty much doesn’t work for a franchise. Those are the gimmicks that are ruining DC, Marvel, Starwars and pretty much anything Lucas films. These companies need to try something new other than these annoyances- 355 replies

I thought so too, but it was explained to me that Batman being from the older time line is und the flashes timeline and Supergirl is from the newest so she’s on top. I still thought it looked stupid and the explanation was probably covering for an awkward artist

Kinda wondering if I should just pretend this movie never happened. I really haven’t heard anything good about it and with many saying it make’s Crystal Skull seem good, is a really bad sign- 355 replies

I think they should move to the 1/48 scale more. It would separate them from the intruding of max factory in the 1/72 scale and it would allow them to start over rather than re use a mostly outdated kit for the Battroid. The Regult kits are a good example of hasegawa learning how to work with mecha designs and joints over the years and a fresh start in the larger scale could be a game changer for them. Although if they did a larger scale with good articulation, they’d have to come up with better ways of developing sturdier joints and I kinda doubt it would only be $50 . Maybe $70 on a low guess, but I think the size would be a draw for fans. Personally, I don’t have space for it, but there are many in the community that would love the larger scale and it would be something to really set them apart if they handle it well

The hi metal came out first, then there was the first armored version, then an updated version, and I think this one has all the updates and if I’m not mistaken a fourth for the vermillion thing. It’s getting a bit confusing

I do really feel bad for anyone that bought the previous release that didn’t include the waterslide decals. That was the major thing that had me holding back on the plamax version. mad far as work on the hasegawa, there’s a lot . Seams, light panels that sometimes aren’t all the way there are the big issues, but if there’s a design I like, I don’t mind putting in a little work. I think the big thing on choosing one company over another for me is consistency. The hasegawa has a very realistic look that is consistent with all modes of their vf-1. While the plamax is more anime inspired and simplified in its design. I’m getting the rerelease of the vf-1 and the battroid and seeing how I like the line from there, but so far the battroid pictures look amazing as far as having that look straight out of the intro. The hasegawa Battroid always kinda felt like it was almost there, but the joints and construction are the draw back for me. The hasegawa battroid just kinda felt like the best of what was available at the time it came out and hasegawa was very new at mecha kits at the time. Even with the updates it seems a bit outdated as far as articulation goes, but if treated more as a static kit it is impressive. I’m more interested in the plamax personally, but they still haven’t announced a gerwalk mode kit and made the odd choice of doing movie fighter modes but a tv battroid. The decision making with plamax is a bit off, but going by the care they’ve been giving to their Dougram line of kits it gives me confidence that most of if not all on screen VF -1 variants and modes will happen. But I kinda doubt you’ll ever see as many variants as hasegawa has done. Currently as far as 1/72 kits, I’m probably gonna opt for displaying the Plamax VF-1’s, the Hasegawa zentraedi kits and wave destroids. Oddly I think the destroids look odd with the hasegawa Valkyrie kits due to the rivets, but the regults have more of an anime feel that fells more at home with the wave and plamax stuff.

I still think that Max Factory kinda squashed my interest in Hasegawa Battroid kits. The new joints didn’t seem to add much from what they’ve shown here.
