    Preorders for the reissue kits went up last week. It’s been a while since some of them have been re supplied.

    I actually liked the character. I didn’t really care for how they used the character, but after the movie I had kinda thought a film with that character could be good if handled right. The guy had a gimmick with bladed weapons and tools similar to how his pops used a whip. And he was a motorcycle guy rather than someone that might be on a horse. There was potential, but Disney is really bad at being handed potential success and usually turns it into a failure. It’s like they’re handed gold, but it just turns to rust.

    I’ve been wondering the same thing with Hasegawa and Max Factory both doing non transforming 1/72 Macross kits. In the old days it was one company could do a similar product from the license, but had to be a different scale, but now it’s possibly gonna be a Thunderdome style fight for supremacy.

    It’s definitely my favorite of any this century. Even when I’m not too into the episode, they end it in a gut wrenching have to see where this crazy crap goes kinda way. Basically, that’s a very close explanation of what they are, just maybe not how they came to be. Then again having the basic non scientist explain humanity to an alien might have the same problems

    The flying Monster is up for preorder tonight at the usual places. Was checking out pics of it on hobbysearch and as some have pointed out it does look like it might not be too unrealistic to modify this into the official VB-6

    Not a bad price for 5 og N-Ger kits. That’s less than Bandai charges for 1 reprint. also the 4 in 1 kit is nice since it’s in scale with the power armor kits, it would work great on a mvm diorama

    There’s even more talk going on about a show starring fleabag, so there’s definitely ideas in milking the franchise for a while. If the movie at least makes its money back, I’m sure they’ll more than likely go through with those ideas. I don’t know what they’ll do if the movie is a failure. Indy is one of those big names in franchise movies and like marvel and Star Wars, Disney probably will try to do something eventually as long as they own the property

    I’ve never had any issues with them other than in one of my front missions sets, they forgot to send the bonus item, but they realized the mistake before the main package even got to me and sent the bonus parts in a small box for free. Preorders can be tough for Bandai products, but otherwise pretty easy.

    That’s really annoying. If they were gonna do another version of this toy, everyone was wanting it without the chair but with full cape.

    If you’re not planning on painting a kit and you haven’t already bought this one, then you may want to wait for the Max Factory one. This one definitely needs some paint. At least all the parts that need to be white are white from what I remember. And even if you don’t want to get rid of the seams, use some cement since some parts are very loose fit

    As far as the battroid, the plans show the two different 1A heads, so I have a feeling that as long as these sell they will probably get to those other types down the line. They did do some surprising variations with Dougram kits, so that gives me more hope than if Bandai were handling these

    They’re definitely in the works. I think a page or so back, there’s pictures that Max Factory has put out with plans for different attachments to make the battroid kit in any type or configuration from the show and film, with the exception of armor and a couple movie variants like the vt and ve types. I’d imagine they have similar plans for the fighter kit even though so far it’s been the same kit. There’s only so many times the same thing will make them money

    It’s ok, they probably feel the same way whenever we cast some American for a movie that takes place in England and force them to do a bad British accent

    You never know. They could be worried about what happened with MEP. More than likely thousand that they found a formula that works for them. Pump out the same toy over and over with a new color or markings and say it’s a limited number and then increase the numbers based on demand.

    I think we’re getting near the end of a cycle where things were getting a little overly politically influenced,since many of those projects in tv and film failed. I’m still thinking some good entertainment is around the corner. As far as anime, it might be a little bit before this generation of things gets closer to what came before story wise, but the look most of the time will probably be more modern. I’m still holding out hope and if I’m not satisfied with anime, there’s other ways to be entertained.

    There’s more differences than what’s circled. Off the top of my head, there the rotating upper leg joint, the ball joint at the side armor, the joints at the body to do an an crunch, the joint at the connector for the shoulder to the body to allow more over body reach and no cockpit. There might be more that I’m forgetting at the moment.

    Preorder is up for Max/ Kakizaki VF-1. Basically the same as before with A and S head parts and includes both stickers and water slide decals for Max’s A and S as well as Kakizaki’s A type. Really glad they’re including water slides in their releases now.

    I’d say stay away from slice of life. And as far as sports, the only one I liked has been megalo box.

    I’m not as hopeless as I was a few years back. Anime may have changed, but I do have hope that it can be good again. I felt that way about music in the 90’s. The grunge thing got overdone, rap was just reusing great rock songs of the past and tried passing it off as a new song and I had a hard time getting to tolerate NU metal. The early 2000’s I started finding bands I liked again and I think that’s what gives me hope that other mediums can be good again
