I think he just never looked young, so he just appears and sounds the same as he did when he was younger

I definitely think that poor writing was a big part of the problem with this show and a few others out there. Acting has been pretty good in a lot of recent shows and visuals are definitely better than many shows of the past, but the writing has been lacking. Although the show was written slightly better than Rings of Power or She Hulk and the Obi show it also didn’t carry a huge fandom. I do feel that if this show had some great writing, then there’d be a bigger word of mouth for it to pick up an audience, especially among those with a D+ subscription hoping for a show to fill the gap between Star Wars and Marvel entries that have had some letdowns recently

I stumbled on it a few years back when searching YouTube for stuff related to the old cartoon. I was very surprised to see the commercial and that it wasn’t from the U.S. either. A few other people I knew had seen it as well in the same type of accidental search. There was also eventually a Toy Galaxy episode that brought up how popular the cartoon was in South America and that they had toys that never made it here. I was surprised that it had this big of a fandom down south

Batman: Caped Crusader (Series) [Prime Video]
Big s replied to pengbuzz's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I thought for sure that since the show wasn’t cancelled that hbo max was still gonna hold on to it. Amazon isn’t as big on the cancel craze that Netflix and Max have been on, so it’s probably for the best- 50 replies

That commercial is still a pretty epic ending to a show that deserved a great ending.

Will it have the weird human face option?

I’m more hopeful on this than the live action Disney adaptation trash. Oddly some of the voice actors might not make bad cameos for the live action.

That’s an interesting little Cobra Commander. Seems everyone is doing some cool Cobra Commander toys these days

It’s tough not to try and compare walking dead and last of us, but they’re so different that it’s like night and day. The lady of the house loves Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead, but I really hate both shows. They’re so badly written and more like soap operas. Any time someone gets in a car that works, it’s gonna crash. Anytime there’s a bad guy that’s gonna murder a bunch of their friends, the main characters will give them a second, third , fourth or even more chances. And the worst part is that the zombies are lame. They always fear a horde, but then they seem to get through without much difficulty like a few episodes where they just stood on top of cars and the zombies couldn’t grab or climb. And each season seems designed to waste as much time as possible to fill out another season. This show makes the infected more of a threat and when they need to put down a bad guy, there’s little to no hesitation. The writing is great and there’s even room for a bit of great lightheartedness without seeming unreal. The actors are great as well. Everything I hate about Walking dead is luckily nowhere to be found here. I’ll take a shorter greater show over a longer pile of garbage any day

Those really don’t have any relation to the hambrabi other than sort of the shape after transforming the outer armor

I remember being pretty young when I first saw that box art for the 1/100 NU gundam. It was unfortunately a bit expensive for me since I was buying things with allowance money for chores at the time and it was pretty rare back then to see Gundam kits at the local hobby shops out here. It was a downer that they sold it by the time I had the money for it, but the artwork on that box was just the kind of thing that stuck in my imagination. I hadn’t even seen a gundam show or movie till a couple year’s later, but that scene was so cool looking it stuck with me for years

Mine are still waiting to be delivered. We can’t get anything delivered here for a while. The highways up here to Crestline are shut down indefinitely. We have heard from some the neighbors that they were able to get down to get groceries and weren’t allowed back up after that.

Can’t wait to get mine. Probably gonna be a good while. We can’t even get mail up here in Crestline at the moment and we barely had the road here plowed. Although I think we may have been better off just shoveling the road ourselves since they packed a burm about ten feet of snow wide up against the side of our cars and it’s almost as tall as a person. Lots of digging to go before anything gets delivered. still waiting on a few kits and my Super 7 GI Joe figures too

I’m more curious about how it compares to the wave 1/100 vf1 kits.

It would be far cheaper and more likely easier to kitbash the upcoming moderoid kit with a couple Macross kits , like the head from a 1a and parts from an armored Valkyrie kit and maybe leg and fore arm parts from a super Valkyrie. Just gotta figure out which scale Valkyrie kits to get to fit the Orgus kit. Or maybe someone is really good with 3D printing. Either way, I’d love to see it.

I’m more referring to actual hg kits from when Bandai first started marking the hguc line around 99 ish. I think Bandai had a few hg kits before the hguc line like the Endless waltz kits and 08th team, but I’d still say they compare better construction wise with early to mid hguc kits. As I’ve said above, they’re pretty simple and some are actually even better than those older hguc kits. They have a better look than those hg kits as well. My favorites have been the obsolete series. The inner frames go together really well and are really fun. Just keep a bit of glue handy and expect a few seam lines and places to paint over if you really want to go all out. Some parts on some kits are pre clolored for those that don’t care about the seams, but with little effort they can be pretty great. The big thing for me with moderoid kits is the variety of subjects. Bandai is the king of Gundam and very little else, but if there’s an obscure anime or an old classic then moderoid is the way to go. I’m really hoping the Orgus is gonna have a simple transformation, since I have a feeling that some joints may need to be tightened a bit. The promo pics look really great and I’m really excited for the release.

Just got notification that the Cobra Commander and BATS are on the way from bbts. Not sure when they’ll get here since all the highways going up the mountains behind San Bernardino are still shutdown, but it’s good to know they came in stock

I have a few moderoids. Most are snap, but some have parts you might want to reinforce with glue. Just test fit and you’ll figure it out. They compare pretty well with older high grade kits if that’s what you’re used to but the newer hg kits are made for extreme ease for a quick snap up. As far as stickers, some come with waterslides and some have stickers and others have both. The descriptions on most pages are seem accurate as to what is included. Overall, they’re pretty simple if you have that experience from those old hg kits and they’ll be a breeze for anyone used to anything older than those

Enjoy, those are a couple nice ones. Don’t skip the destroids or the Zentraedi mecha though

I’ve always been a sucker for cartoonishly silly vocals and to me the champs are Megadeth, Mercyful Fate and Immortal. With those three bands you get amazing music and vocals that make me chuckle and I love them for that.

I liked the idea of it, but once I saw the preview, I lost interest and then the reviews killed it for me. I still haven’t watched it even though it’s free

You’re not missing much. Just a lot of her talking through her teeth because the actress couldn’t open her mouth far enough to speak normally and a bunch of evil useless non hobbits that will leave you behind to die if you twist your ankle
