That’s one of the shows I really can’t wait for returning.

I think the overall reviews will be pretty good judging by how many joints are in the basic kit. I’m still wondering if that side armor will pop off easy though. Most of the Votoms stuff I have either clips on the side or has a hinge joint. The Bandai hg kit has a thin hole for a ball joint

He hasn’t been bad in every movie, I just don’t like his version of the Flash. It’s too annoying for me.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, in theaters summer 2023
Big s replied to Duke Togo's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Personally, I think the big problem is streaming. Why go to a movie that might be just ok and spend so much money, when you can see it easily at home. The movie has to be good to get people out of their homes, but if you know it’s only gonna be two or three months before it can be watched for an existing subscription price, then it makes it even tougher to get people to spend at the theater. I love the theater experience for a good movie. And honestly, with fewer and fewer people going I can understand why some theaters think raising prices is the way to go. That doesn’t mean I think it will work. Over saturation is also a major issue. When it’s only a couple big movies a year, then it’s easier for people to be excited even for smaller movies. But now we think of those smaller films as a non event and unfortunately just wait for streaming. I do believe in the theater being the best way for viewing, but if they want our interest, they need better writing and a bit of originality. Top Gun did great, even though it was just a sequel. But that movie felt different than what is out currently. It’s mostly a smaller story even though it has big effects and found a way to make a sequel without angering its fan base and the same could be done with just about any franchise. The super hero doesn’t need to always save the world, maybe just the neighborhood once in a while. The Batman saved his city and that’s what people wanted, he didn’t need to run around a multiverse of madness. Spend time writing a good story and base the film around that.- 355 replies

I was too young to see Rozz back in the Christian Death days, but I did see Shadow Project once upon a time. That first Christian Death album is still one of my favorite albums, although most of the people I know don’t like it when I have it playing. I just love the mix of sounds and the Adolescents style guitar sounds mixed in such an experimental way. Another one of those singers that I miss. -
Then I guess they’re not happy. The only film he had a major hand in, was still considered a flop. Although I really liked The Suicide Squad and still think that’s the best film in the dceu. As far as since he’s taken over, nothing else has really made money back. I’m a bit surprised at WB, that with all the hack and slash that happened to the company, that they’re still going ahead. I’m pretty sure Aquaman 2 will do a little better than the Flash, but I’m not sure if it will be enough. Honestly, I’ve always hated Aquaman as a character. I don’t think anyone other than a few die hard nerds ever liked Aquaman. They pretty much had to make him a completely new character to get people to like him at all, but like the Flash, Aquaman gets some bad rep as a film due to ties with a disgraced actor even though those parts may have been trimmed or removed almost entirely, I don’t know if people are gonna be lining up for tickets. I’m curious about Blue Beetle since I actually like that character and the kid playing him, but it would probably have fit better in a completely rebooted universe. But there’s already dislike from the trailer by the more triggered nerds and those will affect the ticket sales, but who knows if it will be significant

The box art still looks tan to me, but not as much as usual and the orange is super bright. That really doesn’t matter because your color scheme looks great on that kit that you did. It really makes it stand out

I honestly think the drinker is wrong about that. I feel like if they got better writing teams that the films could be better for both Marvel and dc. With better films the audience will come back.

You gotta remember that they are absolutely obsessed with metallic paint right now. They’re like children that just discovered metallic paint was a thing, and now they have to use it on everything they do

Back when I was a kid, it was a really big deal whenever the concord landed at an airport. I think we were waiting on a flight at LAX “I could be wrong about the airport “ when it arrived once and there was such a big commotion and the crowd was tough to get around. I got a fairly good look through the window, but not an upclose view.

I would probably suggest that if you’re not into multiverse overuse, then you probably wouldn’t like it. But if you like Ezra miller Flash, then you might like it. Seing as how it’s his movie, then I’d probably say it depends on how much you like that character more than anything.

my daughter loves to cosplay and is pretty good at getting free autographs. We had to pay for the cd in the last one, but definitely worth it.she was absolutely in tears meeting the og Idol for Macross and it totally made her day. personally, I’ve never been the type to want to bug for an autograph, but my daughter often gets them without asking somehow. I also usually don’t like to get into autograph lines. I don’t mind talking to people though and my daughter seems better at it than I am -

He has definitely been missed since his passing. Great music for sure -
I think I caught a quick glimpse of your kit on Adam Savages Tested. Their channel seems to mostly focus on the Starwars and short circuit stuff, but they did a few quick passes by the competition table and I’m not sure, but it looked like for a split second it showed the vf-4

Any fans of Frazetta and other fantasy artists.

For me, his work was everywhere in some form or another as a kid growing up. It was on comics to cartoons and albums and games and posters. It’s the kind of art that I think would be hard to be as accepted in mainstream these days and I can understand why, but I still can’t look down on it -
Consolidated Megazone 23 Toy/Model Thread for 2017-2018
Big s replied to RavenHawk's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I get what you’re saying about handling theses. I’m less likely to handle the expensive toy than I would be to handle a fully painted less expensive model kit. It’s just weird to think of leaving the toy alone while playing around with a model- 818 replies

I like the Mcfarlane Knightfall Batman better so far, although this one does get some of the odd things about the artwork. Also looks like he’s getting ready for that late 90’s rave scene with his pacifier

There’s a few things that feel really off about that Max figure. The cloth looks like Felt and is a bit weird looking and gives him a kinda more buff look. The face seems like it’s compensating for the larger build and while better than most if not all max action figures or dolls does seem a bit like some dude in cosplay like jvmacross said. I think they should ditch the cloth outfit or use a thinner material

As said above these are Robotech Toys, not Macross Toys. Also sometimes Transformers toys. I know the basic toy is something that could be seen as the same, but Printed Names are different. Someone wanting a Max Jenius versus markings for Max Sterling and little things like that or box markings for those that don’t open a toy are things that matter to a collector. It would be a similar thing to a GI Joe collector in the U.S. versus the odd British version. It’s similar toys and some cases the same toy, just different name or packages that would turn off a collector Bassically look for Macross branded items in it’s dedicated toy section since this is a Macross site and if you don’t mind Robotech there’s a spot here or there are dedicated Robotech sites, but this site is where all the cool kids hang out, even the ones with Robotech nostalgia

I’m the wrong person to ask here. I have a super hard time letting things go. I have several items that are taking up too much space, but I look at an item while opening a box and I just want to put it back on display.
