    Bandai has several decal sets for the zeon units and they’re easy to find. There are other pretty good third party ones at Newtype hobbies. So far the third party ones I’ve bought from them have been pretty good and a little thinner than Bandai ones, but I will say that if you know what you’re doing with water slide decals and how to thin the edges, then the Bandai ones are easy to use. I do think that the third party ones have a bit more variety though, especially for those that like line decals specific to a particular mobile suit. Most third party decals are coated these days, but you may want to pick up a second set or use a decal that you don’t care as much about to test if the ink is sealed or not just in case

    I do like the prototype for the HMR, but the hg kit definitely has the best looks of any YF-21 so far, especially for all three modes. Hasegawa probably did the best fighter mode, but that’s all they did unfortunately. Up until now I think the Reviltech did the best battroid, but now I’m leaning towards the hg kit battroid. And to be honest, I haven’t really liked any of the gerwalk modes from existing items but I do like this hg one. Overall this hg kit looks pretty good in fighter and looks great in the other modes, especially the battroid.

    Not sure if it’s an update to the old hg kit or totally new, but there’s a preorder for an hg Dunbine on the p Bandai US store. The joints definitely look new though and I don’t remember the feet in the old one having articulated toes. A bit pricey at $37 and change

    My problem with the reinterpretation is that it’s interesting in battroid, but the fighter looks messy. The legs look like they don’t fit the frame of the plane and look really awkward and pushed out. They appear to have redesigned the battroid without thinking at all about how it fits in fighter mode, so it kinda looks junky so far. Maybe further prototype pictures or a re redesign might help

    I’d imagine the battroid to be pretty close in height to the YF-19 battroid kit.

    That prototype definitely looks like a mess.

    I had always heard it was because it was the main mass produced mecha making them the dogs of war since they’re just thrown out there in walking coffins and the scope refers to the triple scopes on the face. But the downform does kinda resemble an awkward dog sitting up I guess.

    If I remember correctly they only assembled the mobile suit in the wear house and the weapons were in cache spots throughout the city. The chain mine was the last pickup on the way to the gundam. I may be mistaken, but I think that the suit only had the internal weapons like the Vulcans and beam sabers to start and picked up everything else along the way and the feddies didn’t counterattack until after it was pretty much fully loaded other than the chain mine that was in the truck. I’d imagine they either planned to use it to demolish the walls to where the Alex was stored in case they captured it or to destroy the Alex in case that mission failed. Mikhail unfortunately was probably so drunk that his reaction time was too slow after using the chain mine to see that it didn’t work.

    I know some people had problems from hlj with the YF-19. I kinda think they either overfilled orders or Bandai didn’t provide as many as promised. Hopefully they don’t have the same issue with this release. USAGS is really solid, Zakuarelius has a YouTube review regularly and is currently employed by them. They also put up pretty good sales every now and then and discount coupons regularly

    The ones listed so far are all pretty trustworthy and have come through for me. I’m kinda waiting to see if usags starts offering the decals since I have a coupon though them. I’d imagine in a couple days that bbts and entertainment earth will have them as well

    Easy preorder. Got the kit and decals. Gonna have to get a couple more copies for the other modes, but this one really looks awesome in all modes

    That second song was pretty good, but I can see why they put them in the second stage. Most of these so called music awards shows usually ignore or push aside the good rock bands these days in favor of other more forgettable genres of music

    Reminds me of the waterslide decals that came with the old soft vinyl mad cat from battletech. It had things like caution decals that said” if you can read this you’re looking too close”

    I’m pretty sure they’ll include eye decals. On the og tv version I had to paint the eyes. I wish I had taken pictures of it before boxing it, because I was really proud of myself back in the day. Color pencils over flat white works really well. Then just add a couple drops of white to get the anime glare and there you go. I think I have better tools now like water color pencils, but if it does include the eyes, I’ll probably use those to save time

    I remember when they were twice as big and only$20 now they’re half the size and a hundred bucks more
