  1. My other passion, Horror movies! haha. Don't know if you guys remember my myers outfit from last year but I'm upping my game this year. Should have this bad boy in a few days: Made to look like the hero mask in H2 (which is technically the original hero mask from H1 in 78):
  2. It's gotta be better than the original. Broken nose ant's. Loose nose cones ect. Depends on the extras, but I'd say $250 easy. Don't forget the arms are diecast so that's $$
  3. I wouldn't really trust the implementation of any material on cheaper transformers aimed for kids. Mileage varies too depending on how they are handled and treated. Plastic yellows if you leave it out in the sun. The Mp cars are saved purely on accuracy and design. If they weren't so accurate I'd agree. Diecast feet would be nice, but it's not a deal breaker for me since they aren't big enough or heavy enough on the top to need the extra weight. Anything as big as the most excellent and massively awesome Star Saberuuuuu needs diecast IMO.
  4. Back up at HLJ http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN986342
  5. Also, glad you found the chugs you were looking for. The durability of plastic vs diecast can be debated but I'm sure the quality of the material goes a long way. I wouldn't trust a plastic swing bar or chest plate on a VF-1 for example. I'm glad it's diecast. Also, It's the mark of a high grade toy when more than one material is used. I like feeling the metal feet of my MP Soundwave, Prime, and the bits on Grimlock.
  6. 1. Vintage retro appeal. If you grew up in the 80's most Transformers had diecast. 2. Durability. 3. Heft. It makes the bot feel more hefty and substantial. I'm a fan of it, but I think some designers have to balance it out and use it where the design calls for it. Nothing can ruin a toy faster than too much diecast as it causes balance problems. For joints, and points of stress I think it's a must. Robots are suppose to be made of metal
  7. Finally opened my 30th. I really like the finish on it over the Frontier valks. Makes me wonder what Bandai could do with a VF-1 of their own design. Not too worried about the tail fins, as they seem to be staying in place for now. Not sure when I'll transform it, think I might hang it in my detolf with fishing wire
  8. Would love a VF-1J like that starsaber diecast content.
  9. F-15D Eagle fighter jet going vertical. Photographer: USAF SSgt. Jeffrey Allen
  10. The main character is just too... tweeny. hate the design. Thought I'd give it a shot So far it's decent animation. The violence level was nice for a kids show.
  11. looks great. Really unique color. Can't wait to get it. Thanks ShukenzeroF the haters
  12. Because it was a show for kids and nobody gave a frakk
  13. Think I'll break out my 30 this weekend.
  14. I think one thing about VF-1's is that it brings new collectors into the fold who want to start getting a gang of Skull squad together. It's a gateway drug.
  15. Ok.. that's cool but it's still in production so who knows what it will have haha
  16. Everybody knows season 3 doesn't count. haha
  17. massive frontier dump on the manadrakarkask
  18. Only thing I don't like is the gaps in the foot. I guess that's for transformation? The head detail makes up for it though. Any diecast on it?
  19. Or you could just upload them to imgur...
