Or at the least fewer releases. Probably a big reason prices are going up steadily. It's all speculation, but if a powerhouse like Hot Toys starts raising prices... a small company like Arcadia won't be far behind. Does anybody know the success of their "dolls" and stuff?

    If it's X-plus it will be licenced. They hire top notch guys and go for big projects. I'm sure the size and materials won't make it a direct competition to Bandai.

    I've had some X-plus stuff. I review the 1984 Godzilla they did on my channel. They are the Yamato of Godzilla toys, sacrificing articulation for suit accuracy. They basically sculpt super realistic vinyls with little to zero articulation. They are hollow inside. Though they have done some mecha in the past, this will probably be Polyurethane Resin Model like the Gunhead below. I'd imagine it will be rather pricy...depending on materials, size, and sculptor. If it's 31 cm that's about the size of the Giant Godzilla line, which is a bit larger than grimlock in dino mode. That's the 84 which is technically 29cm. But thats height. I imagine the length will be pretty crazy - like 40cm. I almost got the Burning G which was about $400 bucks MSRP, but is probably selling for $900 now if you didn't PO.

    I always assume these release come about because they have a spare vat of clear plastic laying around and nothing else to do.

    I think HK basically bought all Yamato dead stock that wasn't previously shipped. haha. Just more proof they made too many pieces.

    Well It's not a final shot. Basically a test shot. So I worry too much about paint. My main concern is engineering overall and if they overweighted the top with diecast and caused problems with connection/joints like with VV. Though, my VV 2.5 is really solid and I love it. Plus, this should be much, much simpler to make work, as it only has 4 connection points vs 12 or 13 with vehicle voltron.

    "Not the final colors" I think they are going for a cartoon accurate product, over a toy accurate product. Hence the crest/wings and color choices. and: I'm fine with the legs if it adds stability. The paint job def. needs some work Def not a deal break with all the other articulated and diecast goodness going on.

    Heh. I'm usually with a friend or two so no worries. I usually just walk really slowly, and I don't jump out at people or try to grab them. Most people are pretty cool and come up to me. Kids will run up and stop a few feet away, then run away again. I got a ton of comments last year asking if my knife was real.

    Thanks guys! I know it's not macross but it's basically a toy haha. I made a guy jump crossing the street earlier haha. I got a beanie up under the mask and it fills out more like the film. Gotta get that wide stuffed look Tight fit though! haha

    It's a chicken and the egg thing. If Yamato had acted like Arcadia is acting now, back then, would they still be Yamato? Being bigger and making too much.. is that why we have Arcadia? Is that why Arcadia is acting like they are now? Probably. No way to say though. Again, I'm not suspicious that they are gouging or overpricing as it's the trend in every major adult high-end toy market. Everything is pushing the $250-300 price point.
