It's not hard to scare collectors of niche products into buying more is it? haha. I think this is just a diversification, and will probably lead to a stronger product. Yamato started out as just one guy, and it's obviously been fairly profitable and popular. I think they make the best toys in the world after Hot Toys in Korea. Anyway, with a macross movie on the horizon it's a property to keep alive.

To me the Yamato 1/60 V2 is the height of what this toy can be, both in transformation, and line art representation. It's fun, it looks fantastic, and well packaged/quality. The Hi-metal are good too, but smaller and not quite as cool IMO.

Nice. Yeah the V1's had diecast legs and you had to pop them off to transform it. So if it's saying perfect transformation it's gotta be a V2. Anybody used this nippon-yassan site before? Is it legit?
