  1. Thanks. Also, quick question.. how do you keep the gun strap on and put the gun in the anime hands? Seems impossibruuu!
  2. Oh! I see! \ not the piece that holds the fast packs on to the back, but the piece that connects in the top hatch?
  3. Herm. Do I need it in battroid mode? She seems pretty stable.
  4. So I've had her in Fighter mode for a few weeks.. Finally decide to transform. While transforming this little piece fell off... I couldn't find where it goes? I'm thinking maybe it's part of the landing gear? Any help would be appreciated! haha.
  5. I don't want it too look exactly the same, and I would rather it didn't transform exactly the same, obviously I want a uniquely branded product under the MP line. Gerwalk isn't needed. Regardless of the toys history, he was a Transformer for a short period of time, and for a lot of people - myself included - he was the first version of a valk we ever saw and has an emotional attachment. Robotech wasn't on in the states until after Jetfire commercials and cartoons had already aired.
  6. Yeah, I think it's terrible. And paying 500 bucks for one is a joke. I guess he paid like $50-60 bucks for a blank Yamato 1/60.. and I have no idea how many hours he put into the mods... not that much I'm sure.
  7. I would die to see a Masterpiece version of Jetfire... the original design! Why can't this toy injustice be rectified? Didn't Shōji Kawamori design the Seekers for Takara for the MP line? It would be so amazing to have him in the Takara MP Packaging at about 1/48, since the other MP's are around 1/60, with a different design than the Yamato stuff. Something a bit more fun in the transformation department than Yamato, yet still fairly complex and high quality. God, it would be a license to print money! And we wouldn't get abortions like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Transformers-Custom-Masterpiece-Jetfire-/230832692222?ViewItem=&item=230832692222&nma=true&si=ZEy2K4ltfeDHMkR4s8PkRDVkvWI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Where guys are hacking up perfectly good Yamato toys.
  8. Good read. I knew a lot of that but didn't have all the pieces in one place
  9. SuperSenpai - they really need to. Badly. it deserves a proper sequel to find out what Hikaru and Misa are up to. Kaldar5 - Great notes and I'm really looking forward to frontier. Any thoughts on whats up with Shadow Chronicles? I'm old. haha. Agent ONE - It was fantastic. It was crazy to see that the differences in the story line, but still hitting the same big highs. I liked Roy a lot more too. Shaorin - Thanks for your inputs too! haha I don't mind pictures.
  10. Thanks for all the Feedback guys! I'll try do reply to all of you. I just finished DYRL and I have to say it's far superior to the story in the TV series. Having a blast here.
  11. I have a giant poster for Macross 2. So I'm sure I'll watch it. Thanks Senpai!
  12. They should make display stands that branch off and can hold 3 or 4 valks at different angles but with one base. kind of like \ / with back and forward pieces that slant off.
  13. I'm glad I'm not a fan of this sculpt. haha
  14. Ah, yes 7 and Plus! Lots of things to watch.
  15. It's amazing. I wonder if any other toy company have pushed design in so short of a time?
  16. So I'm a bit of a strange Macross fan from what I can tell. I grew up with the Americanized cartoon. I would watch it just about every day after class at my grandmothers house. My brother and I loved it, and we spent many afternoons pretending to be Veritech fighters. The whole show was on a loop so we probably saw it 2 -3 times. This was when I was in grade school, so probably '85 or 86? As I got a littler older I bought the Sentinels RPG books from Palladium, hoping there would be a sequel to the first 46 episodes of the show. I never liked Southern Cross, but I really enjoyed New Generation. Nothing ever happened. I was at some comic convention and found some old New Type magazines and a Macross II poster.. but being in the south I never had access to any new releases in the 90's. This was around Jr. High to High school. Anyway, I got older. I stopped collecting toys and got into other things like music, riding my bike, and playing guitar ect. I grew up (Just a bit) got different jobs and basically forgot about macross. I collected some toys on and off. Mostly some horror stuff but I never paid much attention to anime. --- Fast forward to 2013 (20 odd years) and catching some Yamato toy reviews on a whim on youtube. Those little reviews basically ignited and explosion of interest for me and a serious loss of cash. It was like a Minmay song to an alien warrior! haha I started researching and buying up Valks and I've currently spent about 1,000 on toys in the meantime. Yesh!! I'm also trying to catch up on the TV show/Movies/ect. I have never seen Do You Remember Love?, Macross Zero, and Frontier. I just finished re-watching the whole Macross TV show in one run to refresh myself and enjoyed it immensely. I was kind of shocked at how well the story held up, (Though the last 10 episodes are kind of poorly scripted) and really reconnected to the show. I think I actually enjoyed it more as an adult. The Love triangle themes, and the ideas about war and destiny really hit me. Last night.. I watched Macross Zero. My jaw dropped to the floor at the art work, and the animation. It was fan-frakking-tastic. I really fell in love with Macross again and the VF-0 design. I'm going to watch DYRL next and then Frontier. Any suggestions on order or shows I should throw in there?
  17. I always assumed a Valk refers to a fighter. It changes into a Robot. I guess you could call the Valk the entire unit. Shrug. Come on, that's why Macross Battroids are so classic. It retains elements of the fighter and looks stylish. Gundam is just blocky and cartoony.
  18. ultraman - I agree that it depends on the maker and type of toy. Some lines look better in some versions. Scyla - That's always good to keep interacting with your toys over time. Setting up different displays and transforming some. I think it keeps the collection something other than just stationary display pieces. I'd have to say I'm a Battroid guy first and foremost! But I don't buy toys if they don't look good in both.
  19. I was going to make a thread asking if ANYBODY prefers Gerwalk over Battroid or Fighter mode, but I thought I would make a poll instead. Hopefully I did it correctly.
  20. I got a soundwave MP-13 in my shopping cart once and it wouldn't let me complete the sale, so that doesn't always work
  21. Why does this site/review/commercial keep calling the RVF-25 a "model kit"? http://directjapan.wordpress.com/2013/03/03/dx-chogokin-macross-frontier-rvf-25-messiah-valkyrie-luca-angelloni-renewal-version-bandai/
