  1. Gotta know the shipping by heart pick the $20 dollar with tracking. No hesitation. No doubt! Just paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
  2. Congrats! Keep trying guys. I have a feeling they will be adding more stock all night.
  3. A guy on japanrobots said he got one from Hobbysearch.com, but that was last night. Dave - I sent you some tips on how to get a heads up on pre-orders.
  4. Yeah, I don't understand people knocking NY. They do you a service and they are running a business. The other places like HLJ and AmiAmi don't give a crap if you get one. At least NY is out there hustling and offering you the chance to get one from retailers who wouldn't sell to people in the US. They have to pass on the price increase to you, or they couldn't make money. I'd much rather pay $60 more bucks as a finders fee than try to pay $150 bucks + shipping to a Japanese auction house, or wait and pay +$200 bucks on ebay in 6 months. It's beautiful capitalism at work.
  5. Yeah, I've got a lot of pre-orders this summer. What a dirty dirty habit. haha. David - Might as well pay $200 now. On ebay it's going to be $300, or $400.
  6. Yeah I'm glad I didn't stop to contemplate buying two. That and It would be a dick move when so many people want one. XrentonX did you pay up front, or did you select pay later?
  7. Idk about you guys but I just see some dorky Japanese guy running around town with a bike and a cart buying up toys and texting his boss to add more stock! add more stock!
  8. It's up! Just got mine. They bumped the price too. haha
  9. Don't forget: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?scode=TOY-RBT-3273 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10153639 My trigger finger is ready and so is my poor CC.
  10. Lets chatting and more links with active carts!!!!!
  11. You just had to worry about the arms or legs breaking off
  12. Does anybody have an otacute link? I cant seem to find it?
  13. Diecast is good for joints I think. and feet. haha But I think plastic will eventually be more expensive than diecast due to oil costs. You never know.
  14. Yeah, I feel you. It is demand, but demand is driven by cost in a highly cost prohibitive market. Bandai can't take advantage of the secondary market and put them at 400 bucks or people would freak out. Idk. I don't have the answers unfortunately Maybe Bandai just sucks But they have no issues producing the Soul of Chogokin lines, which typically have more expensive die-cast than any Valk I've seen. Idk
  15. Unfortunately Mecha and transformation toys are very expensive to make. So I assume it is a cost analyst situation for them. On one hand they could produce 5,000 more toys beyond their projection of 10,000 to ease the supply of 20 different merchants and risk overproducing on an an already thin margin. Say they are only making 30-40 bucks on each toy. Or on the other hand they could just make an initial run of 10,000 and sell what they have with projected costs, while focusing on toy lines that actually make them a lot of money and have very low costs. Actual children's toys, vinyl dolls and things like that which make them 80% percent profit. Imagine if you made a really expensive part and some small following of people half way around the world was complaining to middle men that you're not making enough. You wouldn't give a crap. It's hard for us to understand in America where people trip over each other to fulfill demand with supply/chain stores like Wal-mart and Target, but it's just a different beast I guess. Also keep in mind that they are making runs of 4 of the same toys with slightly different colors and heads. Haha.
  16. Why not pay $30 more bucks on NY and not worry with it?
  17. Stuff I've watched in the last few months. Since about January I'd say: Robotech/Macross TV show. (I skipped southern cross and parts of New Generation) Skipped through The Sentinals. Skipped through Robotech the movie. DYRL Macross + Macross Zero Transformer G1 cartoon TV show (Finished season 1 and working through 2. The art was actually pretty amazing on this show.) Gunbuster Movie. (The original 4-5 episodes as one movie. Pretty stunning movie in terms of emotional impact and art.) Getter Robo Armageddon. (Had a blast watching this. Just pure fun from top to bottom. I hope somebody works this IP soon.) The Big O Complete series. Hadn't seen this in about a decade and didn't remember the ending too well. Armored Trooper Votoms (working through this slowly, but really enjoying how un-anime like it really is.)
  18. Ill check it and let you know. I reply to anymoon as kryptman often
  19. Thanks a lot for your responses! Personally the figures aren't a huge point for me other than hassle and added value. Takara has them in the box and Yamato doesn't. I can get a Takara for around $260 or so with a figure, or pay $160 for a Yamato and THEN hunt down a figure which I'll probably pay another $100 bucks for. Considering I'll have them in the cockpit most of the time, It's not a big deal. If I can get one in the box as an accessory that's less hassle for me, and more value for the Takara. I am also not a hobby guy. I don't "Weather". I can do minor repairs and such, but I don't do customs. If I'm paying I want it to look good out of the box. That said, I'm a fan of minimal toys... but the Yamato's are pushing that line of Too minimal. haha Tough decision. I might go with the Strong if I can get the guy to come down. I did find one on an auction site for around $100 Then I can just have both.
