  1. Past hour
  2. A Jesus horror movie with Nic Cage? Sounds completely on brand for the dude, could be fun.
  3. The terrible gaps, the bad proportions, the wrongness of the legs and shoulders...it might be the perfect Robotech toy!
  4. It is good but I built a new PC over buying a laptop as I don't plan on gaming when traveling for work or pleasure. Also, its OK to drive your Porsche in the Winter as it has AWD. I drive my F-Type during the Winter and it handles better than my wife's Subaru in the snow, lol.
  5. Today
  6. It looks bad but I don't think it's a Disney problem. It's late stage capitalism problem. Everything is enshitified, including animation. Lower budgets, hiring less talented/cheaper animators, using algorithms/AI to generate in-betweens and animate, manipulating vectorized images to animate instead of hand-drawing more frames, all that. People of course deny that animation studios even do this stuff, when it's proven they do. They will also swear up and down that anime is just as good as ever, when it clearly looks lifeless and sloppy next to hand drawn cel animation. Strong recency bias with anime fans these days.
  7. It's a minor detail that comes up in a conversation between Ripley 8 and the doctors in the Auriga's mess hall when Dr. Gediman doesn't know what "the Company" means. "Weyland-Yutani. Ripley 8's former employers. Terran growth conglomerate. They had defense contracts under the military. Oh they went under decades ago, Gediman, way before your time. Bought out by WalMart." - Dr. Wren
  8. I put a shipping order together at least a few weeks ago. Just got the shipping notice the day before yesterday. So at least I'm getting a few things . But I've got a lot more stuff now languishing in limbo at hlj..
  9. Lock him in a small room and don't let him near anything that he can write with...
  10. Wait... W-Y is defunct? I must have missed that when I saw Resurrection.O.o
  11. Reads @jenius’s Tread review. Looks at the score given. Nods head in agreement. One little thing I’m not sure anyone has pointed out yet: the head of the Tread peaks out just a smidge ever so slightly up in combo mode. Not glaringly obvious. But it’s most likely due to the bomber cockpit being inside the chest for the combo mode.
  12. I wish they had reached out to customers about the freeze happening before it was enacted so folks in the USA could clean out their private warehouse, but it is what it is. Shrug emoji. Lol
  13. Oh, dang dude! So sorry you got hurt. hoping for a quick recovery for you.
  14. I’m glad I decided to have HLJ ship my models a few weeks ago, since they sent out a notice yesterday that they are halting shipments to the U.S. while they figure out how the new tariff process will work. I requested the shipment via EMS on August 8, they shipped it on August 16 (it was actually accepted on August 18), and it arrived on August 25. Of course, a number of other items have arrived since I requested the shipment, but HLJ says they will hold things indefinitely in the Private Warehouse until the tariff process is resolved.
  15. I really liked the first film so I'm in.
  16. Get it while you can! 😁

  18. Going full Terminator 2 would really, REALLY bad a bad idea. Earth's governments and militaries are under the control of "The Five" megacorporations. It's not until Weyland-Yutani collapses between Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection that the government regains some control. I feel vindicated that someone else noticed this and felt that was unrealistic. πŸ˜† Bangkok at midday, with no traffic on any visible road? Talk about unrealistic. From the dialog, apparently they were supposed to put GPS tags on any survivors they found so follow-on teams could extract them.
  19. Seems that early benchmarks on the Xbox Ally X suggest the Z2 Extreme isn't much of an upgrade. Sounds like my ROG Ally X is safe for another year.
  20. Earth "Military" or government is actually controlled via the 5 Mega-corps in this series. Which is quite interesting as the novels and comics depict things very differently. In the novels up to today, you have the United America's (Us), Union of Progress People (all communist groups like China and Russia), Three World Empire (UK & Japan), Independent Core Systems Colonies/ICSC (Colony worlds), New Albion Protectorate (broken away group from TWE, almost like Australians and New Zelanders) then finally Interstellar Commerce Comission/ICC Which we hear about in ALIENS who take care of all trade and regulation enforcement in space to the colonies and earth. What's odd is NONE of these organizations are even mentioned and are supposed to be the world governments that control yet influenced by the Mega-corporations. In ALIEN: Enemy of my enemy, All of these organizations were supposed to link up on a colonized world to talk about the terroristic attacks brought on by some rogue group who's dropping pathegon bombs on colony worlds. And in the early drafts of ALIEN 3 the UPP play a rather important part of the script. All these organizations are supposed to exist yet never mentioned, they even exist with Amanda being an adult so I can't believe they all just sprouted up over night either. So yeah, I do rather feel Alien Earth is half baked and no one really did their research and no one at Disney/Fox even gave a rats-ass about it.
  21. I mostly skipped through here and there, but there are some bizarre engineering choices. One that really stands out is how the hips don't even secure to the nosecone in Battroid.
  22. Excellent review as usual. Pretty surprised on the limited range of motion on the lower leg, I can only speculate Sentinel wanted to ensure stability with all the heft, moreso when combined with the Legioss on its lap.
  23. I'm looking to build up my cash reserves at the moment and don't have the leeway for another overseas trip this year. But if it was closer like Singapore, I would have been having second thoughts hahaha
  24. Not at all, feedback always helps me to get better, so all comments are welcome. I'm just happy someone's looking at them! πŸ˜‰
