  1. Past hour
  2. I kinda get his basic point. Although not to any extreme. When she does get in the battle for the first time, she overdoes the Kira Kira and kills another pilot, but that’s usually what happens to Kira Kira users. And during the battle with the not Titans, she tries to convince Shuji to leave without Machu, although she just might’ve been panicking due to the situation not being ideal, although I get the feeling that her character is a bit of a subtle planner. She seems to kinda pick up on things faster than the rest of the trio. That’s kinda how I feel about finally watching Hundreds of Beavers on amazon. It’s not a great movie and most people would just nope out at the preview and most of the rest would probably give up ten minutes into the film, but I loved it for what it is. I could give all the reasons in the world why I liked it, but I’m pretty sure a majority of the people would feel tortured by it
  3. That is really good! Really evokes the emotions of the scene.
  4. I think the real question is, How does warfare change after Andor and the sequels and stuff? do we get more lightsaber ships? Are tractor beams mostly unused anymore? Are light speed suicide ship tactics a deterrent? Is mounting a Jedi as a hood ornament better than a the usual shielding?
  5. How good are you at making copies? At that scale, it would be very easy to lose details
  6. I'm ready for DS V-III to be the size of a solar system, with every planet holed through and fitted with focusing crystals. Once they all align, the Nu New Newest Newer Republic better watch out!
  7. Today
  8. https://www.hlj.com/1-60-scale-completely-transformed-vf-0a-phoenix-shin-kudo-boarding-machine-aca82167# Still available but I think I'll still pass.
  9. Another worthy edit of mine. Stand removed.
  10. I feel like it was forgivable back in the cel animation days, where getting a consistent scale all the time was more work, but I'm much less forgiving in the 3D animation era where you can model everything to an absolute scale and hard check that things will actually fit together consistently. But I'm pretty sure the animation size reference sheets are among the first things that the director will ignore... I also feel like the whole issue with the size of the Northampton - in all three cases, mind you - would have been avoidable if they'd just used one of the *actual carriers*, like the Uraga (which is sadly underfocused on), and the Guantanamo.
  11. So movie 10 will be the Second Order’s rise to power when they will use the Death Star Killer Base v3 to destroy the New New Republic? Rey has gone missing but a young and gifted person will find the Millennium Flacon (this time with a hexagon shaped radar dish)?
  12. You did an amazing job on the cockpits, it's a great upgrade for the kit. It still dazzles me that Platz didn't deliver here, especially at the current price tag. The top color looks a little too light to me in your pics - here are the colors sheets from the animation studio:
  13. I use Powerline. It works. But it's not a replacement for structured ethernet. (Yes, there's also MOCA. Not available.)
  14. Easy enough to paint the kit Kakizaki colors but yes I want the little figure. I am willing to pay the premium. Having said that, easy enough to pop out copies of him to my friends who aren't willing to pay the premium that I am.
  15. Whatever size looks coolest is pretty much par for most sci-fi, and it’s kinda been the tradition in Macross since the SDF-1 city. Just feels a bit jarring due to meticulous attention to detail in other areas of the franchise.
  16. Just finished Insight, first half was a little slow, but it heavily explained the growing understanding between yukikaze and humans besides Rei. After the operations commence, it is a series of intense revelations about the nature and goals of the combat intelligences, Yukikaze, Cooley and the SAF, and especially Jam and Rombert. The closing sequence is fascinating and intense.
  17. Does she? This is just my read of it, but she doesn't seem to do anything voluntarily. She gets involved with Machu because Machu tracks her down. She gets involved with Shuji because Machu attaches herself to him. She hangs around Shuji because he's Machu's partner. She pilots the GQuuuuuuX only because Machu isn't available. She supports the plan to rob the Pomeranians and flee to Earth because it's what Machu and Shuji want. When that goes to pot thanks to the Titans and Shuji ghosts her by rapturing himself and the Red Gundam away to parts unknown, she accepts Xavier's invitation to go to Zeon only because she's a wanted criminal with nowhere else to go. She becomes the pilot for Kycilia's GFreD not because she wants to, but because that's the assignment Kycilia gives her and it's currently the only way she can earn any kind of a living for herself. She's a passenger in her own story, for the most part. The first thing I think she really does for herself is activate the GFreD's Omega Psycommu from outside and vaporize Miguel with a bit's beam cannon... though even that is only because he's actively trying to murder her. To each their own, I suppose... it's clear you have some very strong feelings on the matter. I quite enjoyed IBO, but I'm in no denial that it was a very polarizing title. A lot like G-Reco, which I know a LOT of Gundam fans didn't like but which I enjoyed. (Kinda suspect that my liking that one borders on a "hear me out".)
