Checking my profiles. Correct TV style upper intake details. I really like how the heat baffles works in more than one way. -

Guess that's another reissue. I've got the "noble color" version. I'll stick with that one.

And does dogfighting count anymore when targeting and missiles can hit before you even reach visual range? I'm a bit of a Romantic, in that I like the thought of a 'fighter' being able to fight, but more of the tech is geared to avoid that.

Is there even a 1/60 scale Transformable Valkyrie toy without any issues ???

...this is an interesting look into the J-50: https://youtu.be/oTUsjtD7HIQ?si=GsSRywlvpsFh_8UQ Although tailless is not a new thing, I wonder how effective can this design work as a dogfighter. Agility is not likely to be in the design brief, however if it were to be seen, does it become a giant flare?

You know, with today's graphics power I think there's an opportunity to remake spectacular rail shooters... Panzer, Sin & Punishment, etc... Haven't they updated light gun technology so it's usable with current-gen displays? They were simple, but so much fun.

Gerwalk mode or not yours is mis-assembled/assembled incorrectly. You can leave it if you feel like it has no issues. As provided by the Bandai's instructions above, it should be taken apart and swapped.

really? but why I look at it, is it in correct way as Bandai showing the correct assembly condition picture. Oh the picture I post the shoulders is not in 90 degree pose because in gerwalk mode. So I adjusted and take another picture

Right? The VF-17 is supposed to be a heavy battroid. Looks like Gamlin skipped leg day at the gym...
-
we're digressing, the whole point is what it looks like in the anime. I was responding just to one point of your comment to Chronocidal. I agree with some of your points but I wanted to debunk just one specific point. You brought up a point of the 171 and 17 have the same leg sizes and it's the CG vs. M7 art style the reason the proportions look different. I was responding that it isn't the reason the 171 looks thinner than the vf-17 by comparison of a CG VF-1 compared with M7 and SDF-1 TV/DYRL Macross depicts the VF-1 consistently, CG or not. Kawamori at the helm of all these shows he's going to make sure the VF-1 are proportionately the same CG or not. So the 171 being done in CG is not a great reason for the difference in leg size between the 171 and 17. if you can link me to the source of the material that says the 171 and 17 legs are identical in size, I'd appreciate it. (i'd like to read up and crappy General Galaxy designs) but yes, I agree with you, Bandai sucks with this one.

Hopefully, Bandai doubles down on that "mistake" prototype they showed years ago and releases that TV-Style SDF-1. Maybe even compound the bad decisions by adding a Macross city in the legs and adding magnets and solid locking mechanisms for the main guns. That would sure show us!!!!111!11!!!!!1!!1!!
