    The moment he's up for preorder I'm in. I managed to successfully find a Slingshot at the local target, last one, both it and the walmart are just crawling with SS86 and SSOne Bee's and Que's and Devestation Optimus. I rather like Slingshot....his vehicle mode cleans up really well but then in robot mode he's got big legs that'll take up a great amount of space in the cabinet until the rest of the figures are released. So that's 2 down, 3 to go.

    When they say “marines” in Macross, are they meaning strictly seaborne troops, delivered by the UN Navy? Or are they including spaceborne forces? If meaning the former, why would they even still exist?

    Must've been a rush job, actually. The parts appear to have been hastily assembled, and some of them didn't even print properly -- that left foot, for example, obviously hadn't adhered to the build plate -- and none of the surfaces were adequately sanded, either. It's rough, low-rez, and shouldn't have been painted as-is. Even the generic US Navy markings are misaligned and improperly set. 😒 Most of the models you guys post in this thread are highly professional, awe-inspiring work; that 1:48 Monster, however, is entirely the opposite. 🤨

    I have only opened one of the stands as I don't plan on using them at the moment. The ratcheting parts work fine, its only the claws that move more freely than I want. I would be concerned if one part of the stand did not lock down the Valk towards the front, then the figure could slip out of the grasp of the claws. The stand itself looks great and may just end up using it on the ThreeZero VF's. All VF's seem fine and contain all the parts needed as well as stickers to create the Jetfire look. . I have transformed 3 and the joints are fine. Two things that I found a problem with. Problem 1: Carefully check the fins on the legs as they seem fragile and you need to finesse them into position. They almost seem like they want to fall off the legs at first before adjustment. Problem 2: Putting the boosters onto the back can be fiddly. I also had to play around and get the boosters seated up against the back before I tabbed them in.
