I'm getting hosed by HLJ, as usual. This is my last order through them because it seems like they build in a "late tax" on every item every time.
-
Year One would be the best bet then as it seems the sets for SNW sets are still around. Plus that looks like what they were heading to do after SNW had it's run.

Haven't watched this (topic) show yet, but... It is doubtful any of these Trek-productions will get a greenlight anytime soon, given the current financial landscape of Paramount-Skydance-WB-Discovery. The only way I see anyTrek happening is if it can be done on the cheap.

They need to go back to basics. -Space the Final Frontier. -To explore Strange New Worlds. -To seek out new life and new civilizations. -To boldly go where no one has gone before. More of Those Old Science guys adventures, less of these paranoia grim dark worlds. Captain 7of9 and her Enterprise could do that. or throw money at Seth MacFarlane and tell him to make Star Trek: Orville Edition

If I felt like spending money to see a movie then Project Hail Mary would be at the top of my list. That being said, I'm very much looking forward to see it on streaming which looks to be PRIME.

Project Hail Mary was good. I'm a big fan of the book and was happy to see it come out so well. They made Rocky cute but that was fine.

Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks are proof positive Paramount/CBS absolutely CAN produce worthy Star Trek material when they engage with creatives who understand the franchise. If nothing else, I hope Paramount/CBS's key takeaway from the crash-and-burn failure of Starfleet Academy is that nobody likes their sh*tty 32nd century setting and they retcon the whole thing into an alternate timeline.

Star Trek: Discovery launched the franchise’s streaming renaissance. When I read that, at first I though it read steaming... As in 'pile of...' And I love how proud they proclaim themselves to be about a show that has almost no audience... Maybe now they'll stop shot-gunning new seasons of shows that haven't proven themselves, and end up not going anywhere. Of those three choices, I'd be all behind a Legacy series with Captain Seven of Nine and Co, as long as it has a better show runner and writing team. Or finally getting a season 3 of Prodigy. Or a live-action reboot of Prodigy! I'd take any of those three alternatives!

That’s amazing. I don’t know how to ride a motorcycle but I’d be tempted learn if this were a commercial product.

Well, that was predictable... https://gizmodo.com/star-trek-starfleet-academy-canceled-paramount-2000736976 Star Trek: Star Feet Academy... er... Starfleet Academy has officially been cancelled by Paramount. The show's second season, filming of which concluded just a few weeks ago at the end of February, will be its last. It seems likely that low viewership and overall poor audience reception motivated the show's cancellation. The series probably would not have gotten a second season had Paramount not overconfidently rushed a second season into production before the first was even out. For now, the future of Star Trek appears to be up in the air with several pitches that all seem unlikely to reach production including: Star Trek: Legacy, a Picard spinoff/sequel starring post-character derailment Seven of Nine as Captain of the Enterprise-G. Star Trek: Year One, a Strange New Worlds spinoff/sequel that is a de facto soft reboot of Star Trek: the Original Series. A yet-untitled live action comedy series Tawny Newsome is working on featuring workers on the pleasure planet Risa.

I also received an email last night saying my part was being shipped! Looking forward to it

Hello, so I just received an email from ThreeZero warranty department that they had sent me out my replacement warranty “part”. I had purchased one of the VF-1S transforming toys that had quite a few QC issues. Broken canopy, air brake issue, etc. back in November. I communicated with them for warranty replacement/fix. They basically said due to tariff’s they were unable to ship out anything, so tough, basically. I’m a little afraid to see what they are sending to me. Guess I will find out eventually….. Twich

my friend got it and paid $750 for it after import shipping and fees. That's insane.

No Love for Southern Cross?

The Auroran is a VERY complex design: the kind of project that separates the pros from the amateurs, much like the Bioroids and the Spartas. It's one thing when they can copy someone's homework (albeit badly, most times) but when they have to figure it all out on their own, it's usually a clusterfrack.- 1482 replies

I’ve shared this with a few of you before, but to add some Macross related love…this a picture with my favorite tail design while on the USS Eisenhower (CVN-69) in 2012. Unfortunately, I did not get to fly with them. That would have been pretty cool. -
I really admire work like this and truly appreciate the labor of love that goes into it. Very talented builder. Just hate when a small detail is missed or incorrectly done after all is said and done.

Honestly, this is probably one of the first times I've looked at a Bandai valk and not had issues with the tampo situation. They usually splatter everything to high heaven with excessive markings, so it's refreshing to see them show some restraint, and just stick with what's in the animation (which is incredibly minimal). They arguably even did a better job than Yamato in this case, since they printed the kites on the spine. I can appreciate Yamato wanting to give folks the option to go entirely low-vis on a "stealth" valk, but I would rather just have it look like the animation (and can't stand stickers). Sadly, that's about the only thing I'd say they got right. I'm not going to hold my breath for more releases, but I was really hoping we'd get Ray's two-seater out of the deal, since that would at least be something new. I'm still hoping we actually get the band trio out of this eventually, but right now I'd honestly be more interested in more VF-19s or a VF-11 of some flavor. Edit: Also, now that I actually see it, screw you Bandai. You and your patented explodium-based plastic can both go drown yourself in the sun. As if I needed even more reasons to never transform this thing..
