I remember many decades ago knowing that one dude in the neighborhood that had copies of the films and a watch of them would be highlights of sleepovers. Pre internet and very little information, kids couldn’t figure out if they were real or not and everyone would either debate their legitimacy or be jealous they missed out on the fun. I don’t think that something like that would be anywhere near as entertaining now though since everyone knows the truth and can easily find more disturbing videos by just doing a google search

@Papa Rat you are just a modelling machine!

Finished watching Alchemy of Souls, and it was a good thirty hours of entertainment. First season is better than the second, but I still liked it, even if the ending kind of rolled around the rim for a bit rather than swooshing in. It was a good show despite that.

I don’t really do resin stuff, but on plastic, if it’s a wider gap that needs some shaping, I’ll use Milliput epoxy, but if you’re really looking into having a lot of projects, something like the aves in the tub might be better. If you can get ahold of resin putty, that stuff is usually really great. One of the few tamiya products that I really liked was their resin putty, but it’s like a unicorn trying to find the stuff.

Looks like it's coming along nicely. 👍

It looks like OpenBOR, similar to what we had with the G.I. Joe game, and we all saw that it wasn't all that great. Still, I'll give it a chance.- 7112 replies

Wish I could find a dollar store today that somehow just found a box of those in the back. Stuff of dreams...

Good God, yes. Even non-canon weird Joon-like colors like sofubi would be great too. Seeing 3P go hard on TF seekers to that point always hurts to see through Macross fan lenses. I feel like Valkyrie Factory/Fugu could take advantage of the situation easily. They recently did KOs of a post-SDFM model fast pack set (forgetting which atm, but was stunned by it), and I think they are responsible for the recent KO Yamato glow sticker sheets, and the SDF-1 scaled valks and destroids too released in time for the Arcadia SDF-1 reissue. If they are, they would likely release the CF and Angel Bird they proto'd if there's some serious uptick in the SDFM fandom (live action film?) at least. For DX, though...well, SH MonsterArts, Figuarts, and their Godzilla/Ultraman vinyl releases have long been KO'd. It's not as if Bandai is that powerful. Never a deal-killer to me. To have one fully articulated version of a character at any scale trumps scaling it to a preexisting contemporary character release. It's great when it is made with pairing in mind, but I'd sooner take a great IRL realization of a character versus none at all.

Other than KC (once they finally release them)? Granted, the scale is 1/72 instead.

Pinning is taking awhile on this one. There aren’t any clear connection points on this old recast so it’s a huge learning experience for me. There is going to be plenty of areas that need cleaning up and gaps to fill. Some small tips of pieces came broken in the box so I am attempting to reattach and sculpt them using some CA glue and baking soda. Hope it works. Also structurally this thing is very back heavy with the wings so I need to make sure when the time comes that the feet are securely attached to some sort of base or this thing will never stand in its own. It’s still early on but I’m excited for this build. It’s my first figure build too which may lead to others. For those who build resin kits on here what’s your go to for gap filler putty? Also any preference on CA glue type or epoxy?

Odd, they had no issues shipping my replacement SV-51 legs to a Tenso address. Though I think it helped that I messaged them in Japanese as well. -
Got a good giggle from this bit of news. Maybe the younger generation are realizing the "You own nothing and will be happy"-motto doesn't work for the long term. Especially in light of subscription fee increases and removal from streaming libraries. DVDs are the new vinyl records: Why Gen Z is embracing physical media (LA Times via Yahoo News)

It's 'Carnival' Spelled backwards. Started looking at book titles in HS for a D&D name for an elf. Later became a vampire character on Multi User Dungeon for 15 yrs. -

It's been a while, but I'm nearly done with the build, I have everything assembled and just need to do some touch ups and some more oil weathering on the wings. The oil paints got a little bit away from me in some places, but I'm happy with the results for my first go at it. With my 1/72 Final Countdown F-14A for scale. -
Yeah, that'd be great. They're probably afraid of Bandai's lawyers. Given the decades of Harmony Gold's questionable shenanigans, Big West don't seem to be as litigious. It'd be great if more legit companies sought a Macross license: Sentinel, Pose+, LEGO (personal wishlist), Moderoid, Toyrise, just off the top of my head. I'd love to see the day when Macross overtakes Gundam, but, yeah, I'm dreaming. That'd be my ideal reality, though- every retail store stocked to the gills with tons of Macross toys form numerous manufacturers spanning the roster from obscure mecha like the M7 variable Police Vehicle, the Octos, the Variable Glaug to perennial favorites like the VF-1 (eat it HG!), the VF-25, and the YF/VF-19. Hopefully the next Macross installment whips up some popularity for the brand globally with some decent advertising and press to interest the uninitiated as well as old timers. A strong surge of popularity might induce other companies to take a gamble on the license, and further HG's journey into obscurity in the process. There's still a sizeable roster of Macross mecha that has never received a model or toy and I'd love to see that list get shorter.

Yup zero plan looks abit oversized. Anyways both of these 3rd party heads can be used on MB Hi-Nu with a bit of mods Wish i didnt have to go this route if the MB Hi-Nu head was somewhat true to the OA design, which was somewhat present in metal robot and RG grade designs
