Convectuoso Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 Why is HLJ the only store that sells these kits? I don't want to preorder from them cause they took so long to ship the YF-19 that I ended up cancelling and ordering from somewhere else.

sh9000 Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 Preordered at HLJ. I expect this to look decent next to a HMR VF-1 in Fighter mode but shorter than a HMR VF-1 in Battroid mode.
kajnrig Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 Glad to see stores getting these up earlier than before. I'm surprised they didn't foreshadow the next kit in the line the way they did before. I hope that's not a sign... 11 hours ago, jvmacross said: Unfortunately, as a "parts-former" there really is no reason to have not been "anime accurate" in every mode...the Battroid mode to me is the most dissapointing... The only way for something like the YF-19 to be an "anime accurate" partsformer would be to include three variants of so many parts that partsforming would be made redundant. Or they could do some serious origami on literally every part of every limb in order to lengthen/shorten/widen/thin out proportions. That would certainly be a sight to see...
KOG Water Dragon Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 Disappointed we still don't have a 1/72 version from either Bandai or Hasegawa. But at least this is something. I'll probably grab a couple.

As far as Japanese sites, it’s basically the same story for all Bandai kits. Hlj and amiami get a pass since they operate as somewhat American sites and most of the rest haven’t used that loophole. The others also don’t limit their preorders to a low enough level. I guess Bandai wants the retailers to limit preorder amounts to one per customer on the initial release. It’s all confusing and weird, but supposedly it was done to help American sellers get stock and not get shut out by the Japanese retailers taking all the business before the shipments even arrive from Japan

Bolt Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 It's funny, all the HG Gundam kits I've built, while dreaming of a Macross HG..I would've gobbled these up 10 years ago.!

SayuriUliana Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Hoping they officially announce the Super Packs soon, the prototypes for it already look great.
sh9000 Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 (edited) YF-29 Max Full Set Pack is next. Edited May 20, 2023 by sh9000

Still wish they'd done YF-29 in 1/72 to match all the other Bandai 1/72 Frontier and Delta kits but... oh well. At least the smaller size and cheaper price makes it more feasible to do an 'all 3 modes' display for these guys.
lechuck Posted May 20, 2023 Author Posted May 20, 2023 I am hoping they get around to making the Ozma variant with the much better head design. And knowing my luck that would be the one they decide to do as P-Bandai.
lechuck Posted June 10, 2023 Author Posted June 10, 2023 October release. https://www.taghobby.com/archives/711961
SayuriUliana Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 The best thing about the Max Jenius version? It's a retail kit, not a P-Bandai kit. Big s Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 The max type along with decal set are up for preorder at hlj

Raikkonen Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Any word on which other Vfs will follow these 2 releases in this line?
