I know i am a bit late to the party but this toy does deserve some more pictures...amazing!!!

^^ Not familiar at all the Getter Robo, so I'm kinda confused between the very different Getter Robo aesthetics... some look pretty cute, essentially like a barrel with limbs sticking out; others look more like the normal proportioned super robots..
I probably should spend some time looking it up..

Yes, it can be pretty confusing. This one is the Getter 1 from a OAV series (1998-99), which title is "Change! Shin getter robot! The last day of the world". It is basically a re-tale(nowadays we would call it a reboot) of the original tv show of the 70s with some parts taken from the manga. It's a masterpiece and i really suggest you try to watch it, believe me you won't regret it. In any case this models takes some liberties from the one on the screen and does have some details that are different from the one shown in the anime.

How’s the build quality of the sky x studio version? I’m tempted to get these but I went for Blitzway’s version instead.

It's great. Actually one of the best i had in my hands lately. I do own the blitzway version too and i love it as well. Actually probably i like it even more than this one, but just because it's more anime accurate. I would say though as far as joints, mobility, accessories the Sky x studio is a powered up version of the blitzway (which is still a great piece). Also no qc issues detected so far. If you like Getter robot i would suggest you get this one too, you won't regret it

Finally got my Black Getter carbotix from Blitzway. I really like the design, less details than the one from Sky X studio but definitely closer to its original version in "The last day". The only thing i really don't like are the eyes. They are not enough... "red", which i always thought it was one of the most distinctive traits of the robot.

Black schemes are a bit of a funny thing to my eyes. By itself it doesn't really pop, but if it's a repaint from normal colors like many other robots or mechs, then somehow it looks really great, especially when put side by side. What I like about this Black Getter is that it doesn't only swaps the red for black, but the whites are now a gunmetal grey.

Personally to me it's the opposite.I am inexplicably drawn to every black recolor, even the non canon ones(which i usually never buy). But yes, this one is particular also for another reason. I don't know if you are familiar with the oav series but the interesting thing about this recolor is the fact that it is indeed explained why the Getter changes color from red and white to black and grey. Although I have to admit i am not quite sure it does make sense from a real world point of view. Probably not. But i do appreciate the effort.

Fast Draw was one of my fave’s too.

One thing I really enjoyed about the 25th line was that all the figures were designed to make customizing relatively easy.
