Roanstalker Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Has anyone tried applying Pledge floor polish to the tabs to thicken them? Great form by the way! I plan to use superglue to thicken the connection when i get home. Kinda sucks need to do this. Im just afraid I'll lose them if left as is.
David Hingtgen Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I might have ordered one if I knew these would be available.
aaajin Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Made a few prints of the wings skull emblem in ultra thin vinyl adhesive. Looks pretty good, would you be interested in buying? Im so glad I bought one to sticker up!
dapro Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 VF-4G finally arrived today! Took couple shots with one of my other favorite bird.
Mommar Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 (edited) Oh! One with blue lines! How did you make these? Edited April 2, 2016 by Mommar
Hikaru1234567890 Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Count me down for some sticker! how much are they?
spanner Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 VF-4G finally arrived today! Took couple shots with one of my other favorite bird. congrats mate! also a lovely shot! and that riser is a perfect fit for the FP stand eh!
dapro Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Thanks mate! Yea, the riser was a surprising fit. Too bad they can't get the rainbow canopy right, they do look good.
spanner Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Thanks mate! Yea, the riser was a surprising fit. Too bad they can't get the rainbow canopy right, they do look good. Were you referring to the VF-4 canopy? was the re-issue meant to have one? Also mind if I ask where you found the riser?
dapro Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 I am referring to the early Yamato, they make all canopy in rainbow tint. The riser is from ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Set-of-3-Clear-Acrylic-Display-Riser-3-4-5-Jewelry-Showcase-Fixtures-/301018118467?hash=item461613f943:g:oOsAAOxyM89ScuYh
spanner Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 ah ok cool. Also thanks for the link! So I figure only the 4inch size riser is the only useful fitting size..
takatoys Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Sticker are for sale in the "For sale and trade" section.
Lolicon Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Painting those stabilizers is one of the more arduous tasks for me, so I'm in for a couple.
mickyg Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Anyone else have issues with the rear rubber tires coming off with the slightest amount of pressure? One of mine also had what looked like lint, on the hub, under the tire. And oh my goodness, were those rear gear, front doors tricky to open. What an amazing piece of engineering this is, though. Wow!
Lolicon Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Took mine out of the box and transformed it to make sure it's fine while I'm still in the HLJ 10 day window. It was only slightly more difficult to transform than my Yamato only because some parts felt tighter than I remember them (though it's been years since I transformed my Yamato so my memory could be off). Missiles still fall off fairly easily. This and the VF-11C have go to be the plainest looking valks out of the box. Still, I love it! But would it have broken the bank to throw in a gunpod, Arcadia?

Wow! Tell me about it, I lost the right tire while I was taking pictures The rear doors are tricky. I was about to break them. Had to watch a review on Youtube to see how to open those.
GabrielV Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Anyone else have issues with the rear rubber tires coming off with the slightest amount of pressure? Yep. Me too.
VF-18S Hornet Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Yeah I had problems with the tires coming off when trying to pull out the gear, but those gear doors were a bitch to open they were tight.
barurutor Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 OT: Booby Duck doesn't get enough love! Nice shots of TV Roy.
mickyg Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Thanks for chiming in guys. I'm talking serious rubber fitment issues on the tyres. Like, they come off from the pressure of the valk's weight on them. They also seem to be covered in some sort of grease though. I'll try wiping them off and seeing if that helps at all. Great pics, all!
Loop Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 For greasy rubber parts like orings and such, I drop them in the ultra sonic cleaner with a drop of dawn ultra. That should degrease them pretty good.
chyll2 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Finally got my copy from Mandarake. IT looks like it has never been transformed I also like the fact that the only accessories that will be left out is the stand attachment and the hands. What I dont like? yeah, the missile, one kept falling right off the bat. Will play with it when I get home. I also answered my question, the nosecone is molded in that color, I thought (and I really wish) it was molded in the same gray as the rest of the plane.
treatment Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Got mine last week, after sitting in my pw for awhile. Noticed the left-ankle/flap a bit loose, but ignored it as normal. Transformed it to Battroid-mode last nite. Left-foot is totally damn loose. Not just the ankle-flap, but the whole tilt assembly. No friction or whatever. Right-foot assembly is totally fine, in contrast. Think Future polish can fix the looseness?
Kanedas Bike Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Every time I read an issue about Arcadia's VF-4G it's so deflating. 1) Because the Yamato release was so good and 2) because I feel like original owners (including myself) hyped this thing up so much that people that only have the Arcadia experience are like W-T-F -b.
Lolicon Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 My Arcadia VF-4 was noticeably tighter than my Yamato with the exception of the ankles, which were loose as hell. I just use it with one of the Yamato stands I have lying around. Though I would like to reiterate that I haven't transformed my Yamato version in over 3 years.

Hey no worries, both ankles on mine are loose, the rear landing gear doors are too tight and the missiles love to fall off but the Arcadia VF-4 is still one of my favorite valks. I guess I'm too easy going when it comes to fun toys .

I guess I'm too easy going when it comes to fun toys . Cool - a glass half-full type of person! It's also interesting, or maybe not, that the Arcadia VF-4G is still available when just a few months ago if a Yamato 4G showed up for sell it disappeared almost instantly. -b.
