Should run fine even on Switch. I have the graphics settings maxed and I'm still getting 60fps at 1080p on the 17w setting on my ROG Ally X.  With the default settings, the game has a 60fps limit turned on.  I'll try later with the frame limit off, on both the 12w and 17w settings (though, even at 25w, the Ally X lasts me just over 90 minutes, which is enough to get through my kid's dance classes).

With the frame limit turned off and maxed at 1440p on my desktop I'm getting 400-600fps... my monitor is only 240hz.🤯

Went to Target this morning to grab some coffee and they had two pallets of Switch 2 consoles, and over a half dozen Mario Kart bundles. No line, no chaos, no crowd, no mess, just sitting there ready to go at retail. That's a nice change, I'm reading scalpers are still listing, and somehow selling, consoles at $700 and MK bundles at $800, crazy. Still passed, it's just not worth it to me at launch, it looks cool, and Mario Kart Horizon looks cool, but not $500+ cool. 

At least it seems those that missed pre-orders, or had a pre-order cancelled, should still be able to call around and find a console at retail, maybe Nintendo actually made enough for launch?

I'm not even sure it would be that, it kind of sounds like Nintendo is leaning into the idea that they can min-max their profits by raising their prices until the demand equals the supply.

Holy crap you utter dipshits, Nintendo.. at least COVER THE FREAKING SCREENS.  Why the everloving crap would you pack it with the screen facing the exterior with no crush space?

Not to excuse the stupidity of stapling receipts to boxes, but if the stores have adopted that as standard procedure for electronics sales, maybe you need to look at packaging standards for fragile electronics products.

I gotta say that stapling receipts to a box is pretty stupid. That should never have been a thing in the first place for any product. They petty much trashed a few hundred thousand dollars or possibly much more worth of product.

I bet the people at Nintendo are all fairly confused over this one.

They had problems with tape not sticking, apparently root-caused to a broken air conditioner.

 

Everyone was miserable, and this made it worse.

It was mentioned a few years ago that IOI the makers of Hitman were going to do a James Bond game. I was wondering about its status after the franchise was sold to Amazon. Looks like the game is still going forward. I found their Hitman games to be very fun with the sneaking around or walking around wearing disguises in exotic locations trying to get to your target to very Bond like. Can't wait to play this game.
