Meh, I won't know what's going on till either one of you guys explains it for me (pretty please?) or the fansub comes out; I can't ask my wicked hot Okinawan GF to translate for me since she doesn't know I even watch anime anymore; this is the first series I have watched in FIVE YEARS, and I don't intend to travel back to the land of Otakudom, though I do have it to thank for my very limited Japanese skills and the development of my videography and editing skills. I misspoke about Luca but I meant to allude to his ultimate fate. I really don't see Michael dying yet, I really don't. Then I try to download a raw, but the only thing up is Horrible Raws, and they only have the first 9 minutes, for some reason, what sh1t is this? Bleah. Renato Posted August 15, 2008 Share Posted August 15, 2008 I voted neutral, because all the tension regarding Leon's coup is right at the end with no so much build-up, and the end scene where Ranka is going up the stairs is just too cheesy. I STILL can't seem to get myself to care about this love triangle, and the series is almost over already. Mainly because it's a love triangle based on nothing, at least for Alto. Lucca knows that Mihail saw him going off now with that "we're a team, don't go off doing your own thing now". Alto's mom looks manlier than he does. I wonder who's sweeping out who's leg in the trailer for next episode. Looks like the pantleg of an SMS pilot sweeping out the legs of someone wearing a blue suit. I'm guessing someone saves President Glass from eating a bullet, as it looks like the same style of pants and shoes he wears. I liked this episode. I'm leaning toward Sumdumgai's suggestion that it looks like an Accuracy International Arctic Warfare design (which are prevalent in grey btw). It doesn't really look like a PSG1 at all... (PSG1 is semi-auto, not bolt-action, and has a pistol grip) It's interesting that in 2059 they still use bolt-action rifles... I wanna see a bolt action laser rifle! You know, it took me this long to realize that Brera is 2059 Kaifun! I wonder who's sweeping out who's leg in the trailer for next episode. Obviously it's Johnny trying to deal a final blow to Daniel Larusso I can just picture Leon saying "Get him a body bag Brera! YEAAAAAAH!!!" Master Dex Posted August 15, 2008 Share Posted August 15, 2008 Just watched the raw. Good thing I always wait for the HD raws anyway to watch the show as I wouldn't have seen it all this time, lol. I like the episode. Character-centric but it was ok. Development for all the people was good and a lot of setup for next week. The car scene with President Glass had JFK written all over it so much so that when I saw the guy prepping the sniper rifle I was completely unsurprised, but still ok with it. I'll bet somehow Glass is saved but it is plainly obvious that Leon is planning a coup and Cathy and Ozma reveal they know what's up. Ai-kun seems to be evolving but I don't think that was him at the concert. The wiggling antenna thing did raise my eyebrow at first but I think it was just another clever cosplay. I didn't catch the mention of the Dimension Eater rounds until someone here said it, that sounds... scary. Overall, decent episode. Next Deculture is going to be pretty action packed I bet(hope). Which is now. Spoiler ban is lifted. -The Saotome family should be motivational speakers. -Ozma and Cathy's snooping seems to have earned them a tailer. On that note, Cathy and Ozma seem to a day late and a dollar short. Leon-1, Ozma/Cathy-0. -Leon has a nice weapon with the MDEs...$5 says it might bite him back in his ass. -Michael seems to have taken his date with Klan in stride. -Ranka and Sheryl pass the ball to Alto.
