kanedaestes Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I am looking for production work, and i have the skills and hard work attitude to be a good bottom level PA or Grip
Funkenstein Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Heres the link to where I got the info Bubblegum Crisis reality show
Whamhammer Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Looks like a contest is being held to become a production crew member for the Bubblegum Crisis movie. BTW the movie is being filmed at Fox Studios in Sydney Australia. Im not sure on how that one will come out. Especially after 2040.
Einherjar Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 A recent estimate on the cost to make a Cowboy Bebop LAM, half a billion dollars. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-...is-in-rewriting
Vince Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Im not sure on how that one will come out. Especially after 2040. my only hope is 95% CG, 5% motorcycle traces....
Wanzerfan Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 A recent estimate on the cost to make a Cowboy Bebop LAM, half a billion dollars. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-...is-in-rewriting I bet most of the buget is blowing up Spike Speigal just so he can recover. I swear, that man must have Saiyan in his genetic structure.
Gubaba Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I bet most of the buget is blowing up Spike Speigal just so he can recover. I swear, that man must have Saiyan in his genetic structure. Did you see the final episode?
eugimon Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Wait, didn't they already make a live action cowboy bebop? I thought it was called Serenity?
taksraven Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 Wait, didn't they already make a live action cowboy bebop? I thought it was called Serenity? Nah, Serenity was the feature-film version of Blake's Seven....... :P Taksraven
Whamhammer Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 my only hope is 95% CG, 5% motorcycle traces.... If they do it in regards to the original series ( not 2040) it stands a better chance. I couldnt stand the boomers in 2040 at all. I prefer the originals "Blade Runner" meets "Terminator" feel.
taksraven Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 Remake of da Fly...... http://www.darkhorizons.com/news/15239/cro...-new-fly-remake What always annoyed me about cronenbergs version was that the end result did not look like a fly. It did look like a fly in the original. Taksraven
Wanzerfan Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Did you see the final episode? I was talking about "Knocking' on Heaven's Door".
Gubaba Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I was talking about "Knocking' on Heaven's Door". Uh-huh. Which happened BEFORE the final episode.
Wanzerfan Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Besides, when I first saw the final episode, I thought Spike just fell unconcious, not just dropped dead.
Max Jenius Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Besides, when I first saw the final episode, I thought Spike just fell unconcious, not just dropped dead. So the Indian dude said all that poo for nothing.
EXO Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 So the Indian dude said all that poo for nothing. Hahaha... nothing gets passed wanzerfan... what an ending the lead passes out.
Gubaba Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Hahaha... nothing gets passed wanzerfan... what an ending the lead passes out. "Nighty-night, Space Cowboy. A little nappy will make you happy."
Scream Man Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I always thought Spoike died at the end, but Im happy if he just collapsed and then got up later. WOw, half a billion...you'd wanna hope it's bloody good!
Gubaba Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I always thought Spoike died at the end, but Im happy if he just collapsed and then got up later. WOw, half a billion...you'd wanna hope it's bloody good! No, you're right. Wanzerfan just wasn't watching very attentively.
Wanzerfan Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 No, you're right. Wanzerfan just wasn't watching very attentively. I said the first time I saw the episode. It didn't help matters any that I saw the thing on CN; likely they cut the blood out of the episode.
azrael Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Hachiko: A Dog's Tale Jeebus....Now Hollywood has gone and bastardized Hachikō Monogatari. Few years ago, it was the horror movies. Now their working up to the animal movies. Guess we should be glad they haven't tried Battle Royale yet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hachik%C5%8D
ruskiiVFaussie Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 (edited) Yay! Kill Bill 3 coming at us in 2014 apparently, my wife read it on a russian news site, Quinton had an interview with an italian interviewer or something, but damn happy days for me. Uma wants a few years to get into shape maybe that's why the late date, also mentioned something about Bill probably won't be in it (duh but interesting), so i'll call it like a thought since no.2 Kill Bill 3 will all be about her going up against the now fully blind but still dangerous Elle and the deceased Copperhead's daughter either trained up by Elle or the seemingly dead Bill eh? Too bad Bill is "really dead". I wonder if BB will be bad ass? http://perezhilton.com/2009-10-01-tarantin...lks-kill-bill-3 found a link. Yes i want this movie made, despite the negative feeling of this thread intended, and i guess it's sorely a remake interest thread, just didn't want to create a new thread about my beloved KIll Bill fandom. someone else can! Lindem Herz Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Hachiko: A Dog's Tale Guess we should be glad they haven't tried Battle Royale yet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hachik%C5%8D They tried http://www.variety.com/article/VR111794487...yid=13&cs=1 But then Virginia Tech happened and, well, you know how sensitive people are. If United 93 is anything to go by, I guess they'll restart production in 2012 or something, maybe earlier if they run out of things to remake.
RedWolf Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 The Phantom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X74WvxfvyM4...player_embedded I think Hollywood is scrubbing the bottom of the barrel now.
reddsun1 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 The Phantom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X74WvxfvyM4...player_embedded I think Hollywood is scrubbing the bottom of the barrel now. Oh, they've long since scraped the bottom of the barrel. Now, they've just turned the barrel up, to get to the mildewy detritus and filth caked on the bottom, and the ground underneath...
Renegade Zentradi Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I hate this current trend of remakes… First off, half these movies and TV shows they’re remaking were in their own way classics and don’t need to be remade because they’re just fine they way they are…they don’t need to be “reinterpreted” or “improved on”… And I wonder, if all that Hollywood can do is remake past productions…what the hell are they going to have to remake 20 years from now…?
CoryHolmes Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 That being said, the trailer for the new Nightmare on Elm Street looks really good. I give that remake a tentative anticipation.
Gubaba Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 That being said, the trailer for the new Nightmare on Elm Street looks really good. I give that remake a tentative anticipation. I dunno...the original had probably the smartest screenplay for a slasher film since Halloween, and Wes Craven's New Nightmare was smarter still. I doubt the new one will be able to top either of those. (One thing the Elm Street series has going for it, though, even in the weakest entries, is a built-in excuse for why slasher-film characters always act so idiotic...they're sleep-deprived! Bingo! Stupidity explained. Makes me much more forgiving whenever anyone does something especially dumb.)
EXO Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 The Phantom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X74WvxfvyM4...player_embedded I think Hollywood is scrubbing the bottom of the barrel now. Haha... he traded in the old costume for THAT?
eugimon Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Hachiko: A Dog's Tale ... Guess we should be glad they haven't tried Battle Royale yet. Obviously you've never seen The Condemned
Gubaba Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Obviously you've never seen The Condemned If they ain't junior high school students, it ain't Battle Royale.
Wanzerfan Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Whoever thought to do a movie remake of The A-Team should really have his head examined. No one else could play Hannibal Smith like George Peppard did, and there can be only one B.A.-Mr. T.! For former military men, those guys sure missed wtih their automaic weapons a lot. One question about the television series though, was Murdock truly mentally unstable in the or was he pulling a Klinger?

Brand Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 (edited) I'm just waiting for someone in Hollywood with balls enough to try remaking Gone with the Wind or Casablanca just to see how loud the outcry to have him blacklisted is. If they're going to keep digging up good-to-begin-with movies/TV series (or worse yet, pieces of crap) to butcher (or somehow make even worse), let's see them step up and remake something people keep referring to as "the best movie of all time". I mean if they can turn The Wizard of Oz into The Wiz, or reduce The Day the Earth Stood Still to a green flick starring Keanu freaking Reeves -- who will never be Spike Spiegel if there is a just and loving deity anywhere in Creation -- I want to see what they can get away with doing to so-called classics of cinema. Max Jenius Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Yeah, I liked the A-Team when I was about 5. Now I'll watch it ... but knowing full well that it sucks.
