Okay... And the second one: Well... On another note: I can relate to the "emergency home repairs" thing: about 2-3 weeks ago, a pipe for pour upstairs neighbor started leaking like crazy through the ceiling into the bathroom and also into my closet. Several scratchbuilt models were lost; no insurance and landlord/property manager could care less. Irreplaceable stuff, one of a kind built by me. As for the audio on the movie: sounds like they ran out of "give a crap" about the audio.

Good point; I hadn't considered that the arms block the wing root in GERWALK mode. -

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!

Let's face it: you could give Max a rocket pack, a pistol and send him out in a helmeted spacesuit, and he's still shoot down more mechs than the rest of the pilots in any given battle. -
I feel when you try to combine the two, you're not going to get the best of both, but rather a muddled mess. And more than just a bit forced. Anyways, if you're so intent on a mash-up, do enjoy. I think nothing anyone has to say here is going to do much to sway you, and I have no "skin in the game". -pengbuzz out.

In a word: NO. In more words: the point of Battletech/ Mechwarrior (Mechwarrior is set in the Battletech universe) and the point of Macross are so different, that they would never work together unless you sacrificed what made either one special. BT/MW is more like Game of Thrones meets The Fall of the Roman Empire. You're a mech pilot fighting your way up the ranks, and ultimately into one of the great houses. The point is conquest and who can basically reassemble the Star league that broke apart centuries ago. The morality is grey at best, and most clans are such jerks that ones like Littlefinger or Tywin would be impressed with their behavior. Macross, on the other hand, is about the futility of war and the power of communication. In each iteration we see what wars (both personal and full-scale) accomplish. Civilizations have fallen, planets have died, and billions of lives were lost alone in SDFM. In each of the series, miscommunication and misunderstanding causes conflict until music can bridge those gaps and bring commonality. And unlike BT/MW, there is a strong morality that war is harmful, life is precious and fragile, and that we don't have to destroy ourselves to resolve differences. Now, all of this is simply my opinion (and others may disagree as they will). But its' how I see the two, and its' for those reasons that I would not want such a crossover.

Hmmm... an interesting Star Warts story would be what happened once their mutual enemy was dead...

Basically: well-meaning jerks.

It would be interesting to revisit MII at some point and see what an "updated" UNS fleet and valks would look like 40+ years from the series.

I think that might be a "p", and it may be "preproduction 3". Sometiem you need to tell us where you're shopping! Some of us poorer folks might want a used valk!

As to the bridge and the "helipad" some have described: one thought I have is that if command staff are embarking or disembarking from the ship, it might be a good idea to have an auxiliary landing pad/ area so they don't have to traverse the ship to get to them. It would certainly make it a bit easier on the legs!

Wow... wish I could find that kind of thing of 35 bucks!!! Where I live (CT), hardly any shops, the ones we have here don't carry any of that, and online is crazy expensive!

on the bright side: at least they're not driving KIA's.

Going out; this is when Yamato left Earth for Iscandar (hence why Earth is reddish). That, or Captain Okita wanted McDonalds 🤣
