  1. I was thinking a flashback to the Enterprise's launch day; I think it would be a good coda for Archer. T'Pol would still be alive as well, I think.
  2. We'll have to see what happens; keep in mind that Pike was promoted well before he was crippled. So, we may see him promoted and Kirk take command after all. But it will be interesting indeed! Just wow. I guess some folks out there just can't behave themselves, huh?
  3. Some speculation and a few observations from Screen Rant: https://screenrant.com/star-trek-strange-new-worlds-kirk-captain-retcon-paul-wesley/
  4. We need a Swamp Thing movie.
  5. UPDATE: I needed some bridge work: I managed to finally mold a canopy for the bridge using the end of a needle file handle and some soda bottle plastic (stays clearer at smaller scales and much thinner). I also decided to do the internal bridge "stack": At this scale, the internal bridge stack is just a jagged piece of plastic; but in the tower and with the canopy, it really looks good: (although you can barely see it unless you're close up): On that note: not happy about the chunky sliders they used for the bridge slide mechanism. So with that said, I devised my own system: Two nails (one shown here in progress) act as slider posts, while the Bridge modules have slots cut into them: In place, they ride the posts inward and outward, while allowing me to fill in and remove the chunks left behind when they are deployed: And they meet in the middle, as they should: It just needs some adjustments, as well as plastic filler pieces and "post tops" to ensure the bridge modules don't wobble all over the place loose! Some used sliders (ketchup and fries not included): Also took a moment to finally carve in the elevator pathways/ cutouts on Prometheus: They look a little soft right now, but as soon as I have a dry day (rained here), I'll burnish them down and sharpen the edges! At any rate, working on the thighs and shins right now as well; becoming satisfied with how they look and the length: Added to that: I also managed to salvage the gun emplacement s on the boom shoulder hubs , as well as some detail towards the lower end of the hubs. I cut these from their plastic housing, ground down the underlying plastic, and glues them into place on the new wooden booms: So overall, the Macross is coming along quite well. My next challenge on this is a bicep pivot on the shoulders, and looking into how feasible it would be to rework the shoulder/ bicep transform. I'd like to get this as close to the anime TV version as possible, since I'm this far now. And of course, them pesky shoulder rail-guns! Stay tuned...The SDF-1 is sleepwalking again!
  6. I wish they'd find a way to do a sequel to it. Really liked how they did the story the first time around.
  7. Thanks guys! Just need to add a few more emplacements, finish the bridge, find/make the rail guns and finish off the boom and carrier details (hinging the door on the Daedalus would be a good thing, right?) and we can head to pants!
  8. Depending on the acrylic, water works just fine, but you have to be careful not to dilute it too much or the color becomes a bit dull and "threadbare" (although this can work when used deliberately for washes and weathering).
  9. That's what I'm hoping for as well. I think he does some of his best work when he's serious.
  10. Any further word on this? I'd really like to see how the Rock does Black Adam.
  11. Really like how this looks! I wonder if they have/ are planning to do a Hi-Metal Irongear?
  12. UPDATE: Booms are now permanently attached: They function in all modes, with the sections rotating (friction slip joint for the boom sections that rotate). The booms are held to the metal swing arm connector by a steel pin that I machined via Dremel tool: (Note: actual Pengbuzz™ flipper pictured here for scale. Sold separately, batteries not included. Parental supervision suggested. Not for use with some sets, models , crochet or the occasional hand gesture in rush-hour traffic. Color may vary by how many times it get slammed in car door. See instructions for details.) And of course, the business end of the Main Reflex Cannon: And for the first time, the ship is now complete in cruiser mode, with all main modules attached: Overall progress shot in Storm Attacker Mode: (kinda blurry, may need to clean the lens) Stay tuned folks....
