  1. Either that or she has a terminal disease and the monster is trying to help her deal with the fragility of life
  2. He seems to be playing his usual character, but as long as this show doesn’t jump the shark, then nuke the fridge and then send the hot rod into orbit, it’ll be alright. Raised by Wolves was a great concept that got thrown into absolute chaos and couldn’t recover the writers crack smoking messed up ideas.
  3. It blows Gotham away. I think the problem I had with Gotham is that there was no Batman to worry about and I didn’t think it was bad, just that I really didn’t care much for the show. I didn’t feel like a bunch of crazies would be there and really only got through a season of the show before I got bored. I honestly thought I’d be bored with this show as well. I never liked the Penguin and couldn’t imagine a show about him being interesting at all. This show isn’t some goofy series that tries to explain how some down to earth guy somehow loses it and becomes the villain. He’s already a bad guy. He just finds ways to weasel into situations and sometimes screws those up and has to recover and adapt to survive ever escalating aspects of the story. He’s trying to get to the top and you get the feeling that any slip up will get him or someone else killed. And he’s such a weasel that even when things do go wrong, it’s got this high tension feel to how he might just get out of things, but it’s gonna change other parts of his messed up plans. The show lives in the shadows of the disaster at the end of The Batman. It’s a chaotic city that had a massive disaster and the criminals are taking big risks. Some are just the average thief’s others are gangsters trying to find their place in a power vacuum where the crime big crime bosses are either in jail or dead. It’s clear that the Penguin wanted more power, but when things get heated an he makes a huge mistake, he decides to shoot for the moon. The disaster gives reasons for more police corruption due to so many people losing homes family or other property.
  4. Whenever I think of his portrayal, I always remember his smile. It’s such a shame they didn’t put that on the figure
  5. I wish that the rest of the show was as good as those three sentences. It’s an extremely flawed show. If a little more care was put into it, it could’ve been amazing It could’ve been the perfect Gundam Halloween special. Sorta like how 0080 was the perfect Gundam Christmas special
  6. It has been done a bit before, but this one is more like full on Jason. It makes no sound and just appears. Then it destroys everything searching for the final girl. Too bad this show is so crappy that I’m hesitant to watch more beyond the second episode.
  7. Something to look forward to next month
  8. The underworld suits for the werewolves were really well done, so much so that they didn’t want to use hair, because it would hide all their sculpted details. Dog soldiers did the opposite since they had zero budget and hid the flaws and such with fur and ripped clothes. Two very different approaches to the same monster for various reasons.
  9. They do a mix of things, but oddly they all kinda seem the same even though they’re wildly different.
  10. I liked Dog Soldiers a lot even though it looks like total 💩. That was a good case of a great story overcoming no budget and bad effects.
  11. Watched the first couple episodes of the Netflix show. It’s pretty hard to watch. The animation did not get smoothed out since the preview and unfortunately looks really really distractingly bad on the human characters. It looks a little better with the mechanical aspect, but still weird. I’d definitely call it a failure. I’m gonna finish it off later since there’s only six 20 something minute episodes though. the concept is kinda interesting since the Gundam seems more like a horror icon and just appears to try and murder everyone and hunting the main character. Kinda creepy honestly. The Gundam is like a wartime Jason so far. Unfortunately that’s the only good thing about the show. maybe I should give it credit for being the only gundam show not to have pretty girl characters in it and the fact that so far The characters are a bit basic and as I’ve said, animated horribly. It’s so bad that I’ll probably never watch this again. My other major complaint is damage in the show is weird. I feel like the horror aspect of this show is great conceptually, but could’ve been handled better. The damage levels are silly and the animation being the worst thing about the show are reasons to stay away. It’s pretty bad all around unfortunately and could’ve been great with a bigger animation budget or just a different style and better writers for the action scenes could have saved this mess. It wouldn’t have taken much to turn things around here.

They did do the one in the middle, just waiting on the other two
  13. I don’t have high hopes for it. The animation looks extremely dated and the voices are kinda cheesy on the preview, but I’d really like to be surprised.
  14. Here’s one I gotta see. Super excited for a sequel to Wrong Trousers.
  15. Joy toy makes some good little guys for sure. I got a few of the old school marines on preorder and I’m really excited about those.
  16. Are they just showing off old sketches?
  17. Just saw that as well along with the 1/48 Layzner from a while back
  18. it’s ok to put a monster on the shelf, but once you put in the bed, it ain’t sharing the blankie
  19. Looks cool. It will be fantastic with some grime here and there
  20. Oddly, when I was a kid back in the 80’s the hobby shop near me had a bunch of vifam stuff, but almost no gundam. Although they had a bunch of ashimar kits, so I thought that Gundam fought a bunch aliens or something since I really didn’t have much to go on at the time
