  1. Mine was a thirty pack of plastic marines for only thirty bucks. All pointy faced and glorious with options for weapons and packs and even with or without helmets. It was inexpensive the way a set of gaming pieces were meant to be. It was also from the time when the game had an odd sense of humor about its brutality. Fun times for sure. It was back when orcs and eldar were the big enemies and had more of a sense of futuristic fantasy to the setting
  2. I love the pointy face helmets. Got a couple of the Horus ones already and got a set of the ultramarines from joy toy on the way. I never really cared for the circumcised helmets personally
  3. I’d think it was pretty strange if he wasn’t in Gotham after all that mess from the riddler causing all kinds of problems around the city. He wanted to be a symbol of hope for Gotham and to just abandon it right when he figured that out just wouldn’t sit right. Most of the city is in disrepair and it’s obvious even from episode one that crime is all around but as this show goes on it would be extremely obvious where the majority of it is coming from to the worlds greatest detective.
  4. Can’t wait. Last episode was great watching Mr. Krabs give such a beat down that Man that was crazy.
  5. Looks great and all, but I definitely do not have the space for it
  6. looks like it’s a non scale kit, but I’m not great at math 140 mm height might be pretty close to 1/12th
  7. Personally I think that one must watch show every couple months is the biggest problem with these streaming services. The price has gone up per subscription and the amount of shows seems to have slowed. Most of the shows on Netflix are just tv shows they acquired from somewhere else and Amazon is pretty similar. I can easily see why people are dropping streaming services. I always forget about P+ because nobody seems to have it and the only things I think I’d be interested in is Beavis and Butthead and maybe the newer Southpark stuff and old stuff like Ren and Stimpy. D+ excited me when it first came out and I really feel extremely let down by that one. They just kinda gave up on writers and their shows suffer for it and not enough movies get added. I haven’t seen anything great on there in a while. I keep fooling myself into keeping it and really should drop it. Max is another one that gets pretty great shows, even if they all seem to come from HBO. I don’t have cable, so I kinda pretend they’re originals. And they do get some good movies as far as orders, I really haven’t had any problems. My lady did though with a recent set. They sent one of the boxes to my neighbor. The man of the house is an elder drunk and probably was wasted when the box came in. My lady had called and dealt with customer service and luckily they just resent the items. Once my neighbors lady came back from a trip she realized the mistake and gave me a call to pick up the original box, so we ended up with double items. At least in our case they made things right by resending, but it made my lady so mad that she didn’t want to ship the other stuff back.
  8. I was a bit confused over all the characters from the Guilty gear franchise and this is the one to be the first with a model kit Although maybe it’s a good time for someone to make a character model kits section for item like this. There’s far more of them these days than a decade ago and some are from big franchises like Starwars and DC and Dune and others from anime and manga like the Berserk kit coming really soon
  9. It’s kinda tough to forget about the show when every type of entertainment news seems to bring it up. The cop is in one of the marvel projects, one of the kids might be Spider-Man’s daughter in another and the guy that played Eddie was in that quiet place movie and will be in the Fantastic Four and every other music video I see on YouTube for some reason has a clip or something of him playing that Metallica song or there’s some odd thing trying to bring Kate Bush’s career back from the dead even though she never had much of a career to begin with
  10. I still think Prime has a pretty good ratio between good and bad shows compared to the other streaming services and especially D+. It will probably be a good show. They really only have one big turd of a show and that’s Rings of Power. As long as they don’t make those massive mistakes, then it will probably be a good or even great show
  11. I don’t know, most of the reviews call it a boring courtroom drama with not so great musical numbers. Cult classics rarely get the boring label, although there was 2001 but I have a feeling this is just gonna end up the worst Batman related movie ever knocking Schumacher off the there
  12. Honestly, I love the look of the old zeta show and really don’t think it needs any updating. The og Gundam on the other hand is a bit messy, but charming in its own way although seems a bit out of place compared to the shows that were coming up only a few years later
  13. I wouldn’t mind an Awsome Sauron figure, but really hope it doesn’t end up sad Sauron from rings of power. Nazgul would be great as well for figures
  14. Randy Rhoads was totally amazing in those days and is definitely the kinda guy that’s missing from music in this century. And I really do hope Ozzy is gonna somehow pull through and go on for another century. But $600 is definitely a lot for toys. But at least they are better toys than what they usually produce
  15. Hikaru kinda has that “hey babe, let’s go over her, she’s totally distracted “ look going on
  16. You can like or dislike those Star Wars figures, but the difference is that the designs flow smoothly to what they’re trying to accomplish. This toy kinda just fails as far as flow. Things like super skinny knees in the battroid while having massive chunky thighs and calves. And that odd bit of battroid design doesn’t help the flow into other modes like it’s fighter mode. the gimmick of the collapsing inner leg armor is a very interesting design choice to try and save space with the arms that I think a lot of other vf-1 toys should take a look at since that part is so rounded that it usually gets in the way of the arms. But in this case the arms are so clunky that that bit of cool functionality doesn’t help it since the fighter parts seem too small like the chest plate. It ends up making this fighter appear more like a transport plane. It kinda seems more like something on a far less expensive cheap transformer toy than a premium Macross toy. this company should have looked at their designs and seen what worked and what wasn’t working, but just didn’t care. In this day of computer technology, it wouldn’t have been too difficult. They could’ve done better to make the design flow more smoothly and that’s something important to a design that’s supposed to change into an aircraft and then they’re charging $160 for it.
  17. Gotta agree there
  18. I think this more a vote with your bucks kinda thing. If enough people like it, they’ll buy it, but if not it will be a hard lesson. I think it’s tough for anyone to support these since they barely resemble what they’re supposed to be and then on top of that they don’t really look very good for being an odd representation of a redesign. something like the rg evangelion kits or Orange cat Tekkaman blade are good examples of redesigns that still have an appeal to the original. While some of those samurai style Star Wars figures are so different, yet even with big differences still look cool. this thing unfortunately only has a couple of misused gimmicks and a whole lotta ugly going on. if they wanted some type of support, then they should’ve tried taking hints at the early prototype stages to fix things so that the design flowed better.
  19. I hear they’re also at hobby lobby, which is one of those places I never thought I’d see Macross kits at. Although I usually avoid that place as much as possible
