  1. Yup, the only thing missing here is a certain jacket and cap
  2. Saw these up for preorder from Genco. 1/60 scale for the moderoids
  3. I only remember a few babies getting eaten in the Mandalorian. Grogu gotta eat and he munch. Besides, the parents didn’t seem to notice, so no harm no foul
  4. The box is actually just as clear, it’s more of a thing with my camera and the texture of the cheap table making things look fuzzy. But either way it’s a lot of extra bits to try out some things with.
  5. From the last part it sounds more like a miscommunication on kc’s part since other retailers are having issues as well
  6. Preorder just went up tonight for Max’s 1A Looks like a tease for Kakizaki, but might just have number decals to repaint it
  7. I kinda doubt it’s really that much of a headache for other sites to hand out a pilot for those that already ordered. It’s probably just as simple as looking up who needed the warning about the product in the first place no longer including the pilot. there have been cases of defective parts that weren’t caught right away that have had info given out to those that ordered and if the company they weren’t the ones doing the part replacement, then at least gave info to the company to get a replacement part. Honestly, if KC isn’t giving the pilot to the store, then there’s not much the store itself can do to fix the issue.
  8. Definitely plenty of plastic to give things a try It’s almost like a box around the parts, so there’s plenty of clear plastic to try things like a bit with solvent glue straight out of the bottle or turn some into sprue goo or even a mix of the two or just some thick old school testers squeeze tube.
  9. I kinda think it means that people who preordered through them early get the pilot and if you preordered from somewhere else, then no pilot
  10. I do think a lot of companies are moving in a better direction, like Wave, Hasegawa and Max Factory. But it’s still gonna be a while before the really small companies get on board. Many of the things that make a Modern Bandai Gundam kit simple are very expensive. It takes a lot of cash to get these molds made and with separate colors on the same runners. Even a lot of complex aircraft kits don’t have that many runners and that requires less molds which are the big expense . And a company like Bandai brings in cash from several routes that help offset the cost. Many of these smaller companies would have to completely change their equipment to be able to get the kind of extreme quality that Bandai does. It could easily backfire and send them into bankruptcy just trying to keep up mechanically. Although, I’ve seen some newer companies kind of popping up that seem to e trying to get there. Most of those seem to be Chinese companies that either are knock off brands or made their money from selling knock off products to produce their own stuff and 3rd party items. Things are changing, but a little slowly, but they’re catching up. It may take another decade or two before everyone is At Bandai’s level or at least current level, but it’s definitely moving in that direction
  11. This teaser for the teaser better not have shown everything from the teaser
  12. I don’t trust A24 with the term “Family Friendly”
  13. I feel what you’re saying here. They really have been a huge letdown and who knows, they could easily manage to turn Andor into another turd in the next season. And I really don’t know if this bad fourth episode of Star Wars Treasure Planet is a bad sign for the quality of upcoming episodes.
  14. I remember having to buy an import of Soundgarden’s Bad Motor Finger album that I believe was a maxi pack. It was a Japanese version and when that album was released here it didn’t have the extras, but the Japanese version had this amazing cover of Into The Void that I absolutely loved and had to have. It was before the age of streaming and average people couldn’t just burn a copy onto a blank disc at the time. I had a friend at the music store that was able to put in an order for me and was super appreciative about it. Although, I think this was more of a licensing issue as to why it wasn’t available here.
  15. Personally I’d rather have a forgettable show than a horribly insulting show that just ruins classic characters and if this show just ends up totally forgettable, at least it didn’t make me hate someone like Obi Wan Kenobi or Boba Fett. And this show really has only had one episode so far that I disliked. The others were fun and did nothing totally wrong and I don’t feel like I’m hate watching it like with the Acolyte, while hoping the show could redeem itself and then never does. forgettable is far better than aggravating
  16. The only thing I remember well from the obi show was obi hiding behind civilians and Vader’s batteries giving out before he could do anything useful
  17. Even with the last episode being a dud, it’s still better than most Disney movies and shows lately
  18. That’s basically what I was thinking of doing, but with the extra thin, it worries me. I’m actually thinking of trying it with thicker glue as well since I have some spare plastic to work with and see if that makes a difference. Luckily there’s enough extra plastic here to try a few different methods as experiments
  19. Yeah, this episode kinda sucked. For a planet that knows nothing but combat Overall a really lame episode, but one stinker out of four isn’t too bad for D+. Just hopefully the rest of the series doesn’t take a dip.
  20. Actually the sprue does have a bunch of extra plastic creating a safety box around the clear parts for protection That’s definitely a worry that I have, but I think I’ll experiment a little with the clear plastic and clear cement to see if it kinda melts the pieces together. I’ve never done it and can’t find an example of it, but I figured it’s worth a try before ruining the actual bubble. I personally wouldn’t try basic putties, but maybe melted sprue for the imperfections if they’re wide and maybe some clear gloss into smaller holes and of course doing some sanding as polishing. If none of that works in practice, then I’ll go with plan B, which would be making a frame to go around it to at least make things look better and if that all goes to hell, then as Pengbuzz mentioned, there’s always cheap clear ornaments
  21. I’m not so sure. It seems like a gamble to me. The show is kinda dragging a bit, but has a decent viewership, but it’s more of a Netflix crowd. So I’m not sure if they’ll be excited enough to go to the theater for a side story or not. People may just wait on it expecting it to come to Netflix in a short amount of time after its theater run. At least it doesn’t seem like a high budget project and a little money could go a long way. It doesn’t star any A list actors and doesn’t appear to be burning cash in special effects, so this could go either way
  22. Is it the nipples and Batcrack, or the mask that defy’s gravity. Personally, I never liked those two Batman movies, there’s just too many things wrong with them design wise, story wise and dialogue wise. They’re so cringy, they make Adam West era stuff seem like Shakespeare
  23. For me , I always love seeing the led thing when people put the time and work to add them in, but I guess it’s one of those things that for macross, I don’t remember the eyes ever lighting up. I do however remember things like landing and signal lights being very bright. I know Gundam likes having the eyes light up when things power on and such though, so I think that’s the main reason for me not to care if the sensors on the regult light up. Although, don’t let my opinion ever stop your personal creativity in your builds. If you think it looks cool artistically, then keep up the good work and have fun doing things your way. And as far as the kits versus toys thing, it’s fairly easy to compare the two, but as I stated earlier it’s a different perspective for a builder and a collector, and there’s nothing at all wrong with that. To me the comparison is because both are basically the same subject in the same scale. But I think the Hasegawa kit, just looks better since it has a few details that are more in line with the anime. Both have very similar articulation and seem to be able to do similar poses, but I do understand that some people don’t want to go through the process of building it. I think the only thing that truly sets the toy apart though are the gimmicks and the opening cockpit for the non existent pilot. It’s kinda overstuffed looking and forces a reduction in the size of the pilot that was promised. Personally, I don’t need thruster lights or light up guns , so I’d just choose the one that looks more like the anime.
  24. It’s definitely not something I’ve tried before, and the more I run the idea through my head, the more thoughts of more ways things could go wrong
  25. I think that’s more of a last ditch effort in case I screw up the included bubble. But it is a good idea, because my preferred method is kind of untested and I’m not really sure what I’d be getting myself into. There’s actually a pretty good chance of disaster
