  1. It’s pretty similar here in the U.S.. no Macross on D+ and a couple videotape releases of the movie around similar times I know others have had vpn problems with Japan, but you can look through this thread, I think someone found one that may have worked
  2. And a reminder that their biggest customer is still going Macross free in the new year. It’s possible, but Big West would definitely gain money here, Sony doesn’t seem as much of a c..k blocker for anime, Disney is usually just ignorant about anime, but most evidence or speculation points to Harmony Gold because they’ve been the biggest roadblock for Macross for many years and decades despite introducing it to the U.S. in the first place
  3. I don’t know so much about sexy, but at least he was still a cursed type of character. And his underlings we’re more zombie than clubbing fun time peeps The new ones all seem forever trapped in the perfect body with friends that are also in perfect bodies that might be allergic to daytime as their biggest weakness. They prey on people that end up just like them, spoiled and rich with forever beauty and no downside to being turned. I don’t know what they all do for money, but they all seem to support eachother and have endless supplies of leather and pleather, probably because they don’t have to pay for insurance
  4. Definitely a go to for the Holliday, but that may be more due to a lack of competition than being the best for the subject
  5. Yup, still an issue and probably always will be a roadblock.
  6. No sexy vampires in this one I guess. I’m fine with that. I like a vampire with an actual curse upon them rather than the modern no downside non monster vampire. The modern ones can’t go out in the day sometimes and other than that look hot and live forever, who wouldn’t want to be one of those, but nobody wants to be Orlok
  7. I don’t know who that is, but it’s not Wheaton. Maybe his Italian stunt double
  8. You should try water color pencils. They’re pretty cheap for a full set of colors and work very similar to color pencils when dry and can be used for washes when wet. Just do a quick flat coat if you use them like a pencil so it adheres to the surface and then another top coat to seal it in. They’re kind of a newer thing I’ve been playing around with lately after my daughter informed me about their existence
  9. That’s hardcore bad luck, but at least things are just dirty and not melted. It’s gonna be a cleaning job for sure, but just keep in mind it could’ve been far far worse. I’ve even seen entire homes explode
  10. They could’ve avoided the accident if they hadn’t used bicycle tires while trying to set a new land speed record
  11. It’s about time they made that official. He never looked like aquaman to me, but I think Lobo is a perfect casting decision
  12. I remember being super excited for this game when I saw some of the early images in a game magazine decades ago. I loved the artwork and music in the actual game. Lots of fun from what I remember
  13. I’d imagine these won’t be hard to find in the U.S. and some other outside Japan countries. I’ve seen a few of the HMR toys at Hobbytown and they’re partnered with Bandai for the gbwc, and I don’t think hg can or has tried to block them since the ones I’ve are for Macross Zero and Macross 7, so I’m pretty sure the Macross 2 stuff would be fine.
  14. Definitely has a very grimy look. I still like it
  15. He’s a bit too dorky. I guess this one’s more for the little kids. Also kinda weird to be going to the restroom and announcing loudly that he has to drop multiple deuces. I guess that will at least explain why he’s gonna be gone for a while. I’m probably more disappointed that this wasn’t the continuation of the 90’s Spidey that everyone had theories about returning after getting a glimpse of his return in X-Men 97
  16. More than likely, the new one. It probably won’t be too different other than the head from the trailers I’ve seen for the movie. We plan on watching it fairly soon, but haven’t had the time yet
  17. I don’t have the tools nor the skills for that. It looks absolutely awesome.
  18. Yeah, the last couple years, they’ve stepped up their booklets and it really helps with their color guides.
  19. I felt it had some really stupid moments. Oddly the comedy bits were spot on and I kinda feel that they should have played more into those moments a lot more and made this more of an action comedy. But it’s not the worst movie I’ve seen. I just think that every moment Bateman has the upper hand is an odd moment where he shouldn’t have. Like what if the guy just didn’t put in the earpiece. Or if he just dragged his lady to that security office before really knowing about the bomb or the sniper that wasn’t even ready with the rifle. It was such a paper thin plot that it even showed wrinkles in the actual movie itself. overall, if those things don’t bug you, you’ll be alright with this and if they do it will ruin the whole movie. If you can shut off your brain, then get the popcorn ready, cause you’re in for a stupid ride
  20. Did you say ”I’ll Buy That For A Dollar” and then add it to cart
  21. to me, the Hasegawa looks closer to the size in the faceplate than the moscato. Form these pics the moscato looks more elongated at the top than in the line art, while the Hasegawa looks a hair short. But I think if it bugs anyone, a simple bit of styrene sheet would elongate it that extra hair. Maybe just a trimmed bread clip in the back. The feet on the hasegawa definitely look more like the line art though. As far as the gunpods on the arms, the extra detail is kinda funky on the Hasegawa and totally pointless. Its not like they were gonna put an additional adjustable sniper scope on top. But that looks like a thin rectangular piece that could either be smoothed or replaced with some styrene sheet or possibly even just flipped around, although I’m sure there’s stuff on the other side needing to be smoothed. Beyond that, I think both versions are great looking and both versions have a bit of give and take with accuracy and both do some different things with added details. I think anyone that can afford the Moscato version and owns it should be very happy with it and anyone like me that can’t, the Hasegawa kit looks really great as well my only major complaint is the lack of articulation in the arms on the hasegawa version, and that might be an easier fix than I think depending on how big those ball pieces are in handI may still have a pack of white revoltech joints in various sizes that could work
  22. Yeah, but even the majority of Bandai kits have seams on them that need filling.
  23. They’ve been getting closer to snap builds for a bit now, I think just trying to appeal to the modern builder. You could snap up the regult, although I’d still recommend gluing most of the parts. I don’t think it’s as much to do with Bandai, just more to catch up to everyone else. as far as Bandai’s master grade, unfortunately that would be the 1/72 transforming kit. It’s got the inner frame and all kinds of gimmicks and unfortunately ends up a floppy mess. Too bad that company doesn’t even do master grade gundams anymore. Master grade seems to be on a break at this time. And it’s not just Bandai with an increased interest in Macross, but just about every major player recently. Max Factory is pumping out a lot of stuff, Bandai is doing toys and hg 1/100 kits wave is doing 1/72 as well as 1/100 kits. And Hasegawais doing some oddball items I wouldn’t have expected them to try. It’s a good time to be a fan Great diorama. Definitely well painted. I can guarantee you that it’s gonna be significantly taller than the hasegawa kit coming up, but I still would like to see em side by side.
  24. That’s definitely the first time I’ve heard that. Then again, I’m sure there’s people out there that would prefer Mellisa McCarthy now to Jenny McCarthy in her prime
  25. Turned out pretty great
