  1. I think they did that because Gamlin isn’t as popular as the M&M’s. Although I’m a little surprised that even those didn’t end up web exclusive
  2. Honestly, I think if Robotech ever does try to be different then they’re probably just gonna leave the singing out of it.
  3. I didn’t really like it much, but I did like Yelena and their pops. A lot of that movie was just kinda mishandled. I hated how boring they made Taskmaster, such a waste of a character. There were some good moments here and there though, just the overall movie kinda suffers. Definitely not the worst of the post endgame movies
  4. I hear they’re really big closer to the eastern side of the country, while over here in the west coast all we hear are YouTube toy archaeologists speaking of legends regarding mountains of Hasbro toys, only to find the fools gold of piles of unwanted Reva and Eternals. Out here we always had Pic’n Save (which always got jokes from kids on the playground) and getting replaced by Big Lots. But I have heard that Ollies is creeping closer and closer here to the west, while In’n Out is trying to slip the double doubles closer and closer to the eastern shores
  5. The hg ones are great. As far as mg and real grade, I kinda want them to get some more advancements in their tech before trying things too complicated. They’re getting better all the time and I’m sure sometime in the future they’ll do better than their 1/72 offerings as far as stability and sturdiness
  6. You could always thicken the part that goes in with a layer or two of super glue if it’s really loose. Just a drop or two and let it harden till it’s thick enough to get some tension. If it’s just a little, some thinned down gloss coat can work.
  7. I think it’s hilarious that it doesn’t seem to understand Robotech or Macross and tried to grove you Star Wars, Gundam and Transformers instead
  8. If it’s slightly stubborn, you could also try a little warm water with a soaked tissue or cloth. Since it doesn’t have the topcoat, it could help lift it.
  9. The salt method works for most kinds of paints. The best techniques I’ve seen use a kind of mottled rust base color with bright and dark rust colors showing uneven. Then you get some salt and a bit of water and let the salt kinda stick to the surface like you’d see a pretzel or something. And in places you don’t want chipping, you can just wipe the area clean with water and a napkin or something. Then you cover the kit with your desired colors and decals like normal. Then you can use your finer nails or gently use a blade to kind of scrape off the raised areas. It leaves some raised paint and shows the rust underneath. The paint that’s somewhat raised will appear like real chipped texture. You can add extra weathering to make it appear as rust or oils or dirt at dripping out of those spots as well for some added detail
  10. I kinda figured that, but it just seems so recent in the other show.
  11. Hope that means less of the cg look to the mecha in the anime. I feel like sunrise has done alright in some of their recent shows giving a more animated than cg look to the mecha despite actually using heavy cg for their mecha in shows like Gundam with a few exceptions
  12. That’s why I really think their best move is to try and work out a deal to allow themselves and big west to profit from releasing the og stuff and DYRL. And then just to do Robotech as a disconnected reboot. They could do their own designs and new characters in a story that’s new to rebuild their name. Or just watch the cash roll in from making distribution deals and the streaming rights
  13. Just finished the newest episode. Still rolling strong
  14. Angry Homer Simpson was always the most convincing Homer Simpson
  15. It was god for its time, but age really shows. Lots of awkward shapes and such. The hmr blows it away easily. Although, I would love to see a new hg kit of it along with other Macross 2 designs
  16. I’d be way more interested if they do Samurai Showdown since they have that snk logo. Storm did a few figures from it, but kinda left out a lot of my favorites and honestly, I’d have more space for them in this scale.
  17. Not sure, did the remaster come on dvd or Blu-ray? also , I think it’s odd that it doesn’t have Mospeada, but I really don’t know how the show was marketed down there.
  18. It’s always fun to have a chance to try something new. I like how the armor looks like that old fashioned iron kinda look rather than smooth manufactured steel.
  19. And Serena isn’t a character in Sailor Moon
  20. Yeah, that’s with all the extensions. There’s a bit more than I listed, like the ankles to get better articulation around the armor and the hip gimmick that allows for a higher kick and helps in downform. Basically it’s not to extend height, but to allow for more anime style poses with the all those extra joints moved around, it adds significant height when you extend everything outward.
  21. The legs are for the downform, the arms are for the punch and forward reach and the waist is for forward articulation.
  22. I didn’t even check think it was odd that they pretty much redid the joints on theirs more like G.I.Joe, except for adding the elbow joints and a waist articulation. The other joints go some petty good upgrades, but if they just went that little bit more, these would’ve been tough to pass up
