  1. Still looking for info but found this neato page about her. http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/312-ijn-musashi/ A couple of sites mention it being found but all of them strictly in a discussion board, so my guess is that it has not been found yet.
  2. No - but I DID see Star Wars Episode 1, it can't possibly get worse.
  3. Not quite remembering when they "found" the rest of the old RD crew I like those episodes, but not as much as the ones before that. Back to Earth was great and I'm looking forward to the new episodes in the US.
  4. Just remembered, the "bad guy" fighters in Macross 0 are my all time favorites.
  5. More GITS is always welcome. Hopefully the new crew does it justice.
  6. In the original show the WWII Yamato was fixed up and made into a spaceship. So the ruins on the surface was supposed to be the Yamato we see throughout the show.
  7. Just in case it was too dry, my comment was a joke (or are you guys beating me out with drier humor?)
  8. That SDF-1 color scheme is all wrong and the Valk is out of scale... I wonder how many legos are in that and how long it took to make?
  9. Does the transforming Monster in Frontier count? Nearly dropped a load when I saw that one. If not then Roy's fighter wins.
  10. Back to 2199, just saw 7-10 and I love every change they made from the original story. The difference of how the "Sargasso sea" was setup in particular was well thought out, the original was just impossible while the new one may be impossible but we have no way to know... Somebody who has at least read naval fiction came up with the line crossing ceremony - a nice touch.
  11. WOW!!! I'd like to make a small suggestion though. You guys have talent, good talent, try making your own universe rather then Robotech/Macross (it can be alien invasion still...). That way you can release it and try to make money with it. From what I see here you can do it if you get some good scripts and actors.
  12. The alien ship designs were wonky, but I rather like the Earth "Fragship" (I still loved that from the preview video. Bad ship designs have been a Yamato problem in every show after Comet Empire though. I hope so, Tim deserves a couple of medals for the work he has done.
  13. I thought the visuals from Resurrection were just fine, hardly a dissapointment in any way. The story is a disjointed mess though. (Being from the US I don't see any anti-US vibe to it either, it might be there but since there is a VERY strong anti-UN lobby here to begin with it hardly makes an impression)
  14. Not a single mention for Captain Scarlet or Space 1999 yet? Captain Scarlett had me hooked as a kid, still a decent show today when I watched it on Netflix - certainly more intelligent then most kids shows. Space 1999, with all it's flaws, was still a masterpiece in some ways. I've said it before and I'll say it again the "Dagon's Dragon" episode is one of the scariest things I've ever seen.
  15. And if their license does not require approval before they publish anything I would be surprised. (normally approval would be carte blanche but if they tried something offensive...)
  16. The new Enterprise does kinda look like a whale now that you mention it... (and I loved the new movie, all except the lense flare fetish)
  17. It's a giant robot version of "All of Me" (OK, so they were sharing Steve Martin's body in that one)
  18. And in the movie there is a male and femal pilot, geez I can see the plot unfolding already - and it smells terrible.
  19. Studio money people don't think they way, they think "Movie X is coming out - that will be the next big thing and we have to catch part of that action". There is some truth to it as well, look at the Superhero movie genre at the moment - but at some point they will become "tired" and "stale" and then the next thing will come along. (go back far enough and you have the Cowboy movies, the scifi movies, the monster movies, the counterculture movies of the early to mid seventies)
  20. He really is, even when I don't agree with his opinion he always gives enough of a description for why he did or did not like a film for me to decide if I would like it or not. Other reviewers, not so much. Only exception was the time he went off the deep end about something - I don't even remember what it was, perhaps he was on some kind of medication at the time and needed his dosage changed.
  21. It does? Perhaps I am dense. For proof that this MUST be an alternate universe - the Feds know what the Romulans looks like, original series makes it clear they were never seen in person till "Balance of Terror". Even Enterprise does not mess this up - the Romulans were never seen (although they had warp drive, which also puts Enterprise in an alternate universe from the original show)
