    Loved the show, first season at any rate, and it is liking losing a piece of my childhood.

    I'm not crapping on it, I'm crapping on the crappy trailer. The job of which is to get people interested in seeing more.

    That trailer did zip, zilch, zero, nada for getting me to be even slightly interested.

    As a non comic book guy what is the love for Green Lantern? I mean a superpower of making green stuff is lame as all get out - even Aquaman's talking to fish is better.

    Don't worry, they make it clear she cleans up her act by the end credits. Looks like this one will be a streaming release for me, unless I miss it like most of the others I say that about.

    To be fair, they don't really need a good explanation - The Motion Picture got away with the Enterprise being the ONLY vessel between the Klingon border and Earth for example. With as many problems as ST: V had at least it had a better reason for why the Enterprise got sent on that particular mission. Not that I plan on watching this, I've still not watched the last season or two of Discovery even though I had P+ to watch SNW.

    As much as I love LotR I have no desire to see it in theaters again. HOWEVER that is not why I am posting. I am posting since it has been 25 years..........

    For the other films - IF this one does well the others will be done as well, most likely on their 50ths.

    You were lucky when you were younger, minus the phones I remember all that "stuff" happening at theaters. The main difference now is the theater level picture and sound quality at home.

    I remember when it was just shorts running on the Tracy Ulman show. (I probably spelled her name all wrong). I then remember it being protested as corrupting of family values, then I remember it being used as the "traditional" example versus Family Guy...

    That one looks interesting. I never even watched the previous show but may do so now as well.

    Too bad they didn't redo the opening animation for his current look (granted, just a few extra wrinkles)

    AI bursting (or not) is a very interesting topic. I have no bet on that either way. AI is overhyped and what is currently called AI really is not. It is not really capable of replacing computer programmers or doctors (hell, nowhere near replacing doctors, lawyers) but it can cut down the support staff and need to interns and entry level personnel (otherwise known as future programmers, doctors, lawyers) and that could have very serious complications for the future. Will there be over investment in it or will it level off is really hard to say. The costs associated with it are not being properly accounted for yet, when the cost to provide AI services are forced to pay for themselves instead of the current growth at a loss for market share period ends we will see the results.

    All of them have been self contained, but with a big spoiler hook usually thrown in at the end. Season 4 could easily have been the end of it with just a slightly different end scene.

    Yup, the SW sequels did not do any of the actors in them any favors. Zombie movies are not my thing (very few movies are these days) but it looks worth a watch when it comes out on streaming.

    SpongeBob looks like it will be worth a watch when it comes to streaming. They really ought to stop calling them "The SpongeBob Movie" at this point, don't remember if this is the fourth or fifth one.

    The most interesting bit of that robotic fail is the handlers seemed to be VERY much expecting it to happen. Makes me thing corporate demanded a demo for some reason when the techs said it was not ready yet.

    Only problem with that is Forky did not exist then but is in the teaser trailer, Woody is also missing his Sherriff's badge. A teaser trailer often has little inaccuracies like that however.

    Another Glider video was uploaded a few days ago. I love the flying machines in Valley of the Wind so always happy to see a really really close recreation of one.

    True - but I doubt they had anywhere near enough money for that.

    Hope it is good too, the second one was completely forgettable. (as in I hope they forget it was made and make this a sequel of the first one only)

    The ones I used to use regularly slowly died off. Mailing list wise I am still on a few and get the surprise email from them a few times a year. Sadly the "new shiny" syndrome has kicked in for all them and people just disappear.

    I was going to say give me serious Godzilla or give me nothing, then I remembered how much I loved The smog monster and Jet Jaguar and even that little Godzilla (whatever the heck the name of it actually is).
