  1. Past hour
  2. Eh... back when the OG Mobile Suit Gundam series was made real robot tropes had yet to be codified so it did have some leftover elements of "super-ness" to it. That said, most of the traits that are now said to be emblematic of super robots are generally absent from Gundam. The exceptions being, of course, those Gundam installments that unapologetically cross that line into super robot-ness like SD Gundam and Mobile Fighter G Gundam. A "super prototype" and a "super robot" are two different things... though their key distinction is usually whether they're handled like a practical weapon or a superhero.
  3. Pengbuzz, that is my new head canon!!😁 It looks like it is in good hands now, @tekering. Just watch out for clowns in Godzilla suits! Some great progress @Chas!
  4. Today
  5. Very interesting...
  6. Probably the closest we'll get to classic biped mecha IRL are uparmoured exoskeletons so you can have a soldier carry heavier weapons with ease.
  7. Yeah, there’s been a few resin ones, but this will be the first plastic one. I do like the resin interpretations, but the new hasegawa one is more like the line art and supposedly has some details from original sketches
  8. Aside from a 1D trainer, I hope 3Zero makes their own 1D Virgin Road... still regret selling the one I got in HK a long time ago.
  9. I've got a few of the 1/72 armored battroid VF-11's in resin. But I would definitely be into a hasegawa version.
  10. Lol, Gundam was and is a super robot franchise with a coat of real robot paint, except for a couple notable exceptions. It just spends a lot of effort trying to explain away its super-ness.
  11. You did some really nice alterations.
  12. This reaffirms my wish for a VF-11 battroid. Preferably a Hasegawa in 1/72. If PLAMAX does one, that's also cool. And a YF-21 battroid.
  13. There was an Experten kit in 1/100. The kit included a pilot figure as well. Pic below is just for reference. This kit is going to be huge. And found another kit. Wow.
  14. Yes, the movie version has never had a plastic model or toy, the tv version had one in 1/144 by Imai, but I got a pretty good feeling that 1/72 is coming soon for the tv version
  15. Yesterday
  16. See you guys next year! Wish you all a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year !
  17. If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time the movie version has been available in any scale, and the first time any version has been available in this scale (in plastic)?
  18. Some of the Fox films and Orion and some other 80’s R rated studios had some great designs back in the day. The stuff from the Aliens films and of course Terminator and Robocop had some amazing things going on that I think everyone would agree are some very iconic designs, but it is nice to give some credit to those goofy lesser designs in crazy B movies like Ice Pirates and Battle Beyond the Stars
  19. Knowing that RDJ is DR Doom, I think it would probably be his alternative universe version of Tony Stark rather than lil Steve, although it would give a story for big Steve during the time of FF4. And maybe lil Steve would end up the captain America everyone remembers from those goofy older no budget movies that would pop up on tv
  20. It’s a bit of a limited option. You have to pick the option that says monthly recombination, and then it only works for items from the same release month, but if an item gets pushed back a month, then it automatically will ship separately. It’s a little confusing and doesn’t always work out
  21. Slow and steady wins the race!😉
  22. Looks like that hard work on those mods is paying off here
  23. Are you gonna put on that Godzilla outfit and take som Awsome Pictures?
  24. Any streetfigther fan would know what this is from.
  25. I'm going to say most of that 36mm difference is in the Quead's top antenna, like the spire of a high rise building I think its going to be LARGE
