Most likely Bandai just limited shop-allotments yet again as it did in the original pbandai release since it's not a hero-valk. At any rate, this reissue is still open for importing at ami as of this posting-time: https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail?gcode=FIGURE-193946 Honestly, quite a price-hike at msrp for a naked reissue without supers or armor parts. Bandai gotta Bandai...

To be fair, that was accurate to Arad's Valk in the show.

Indeed. Safety orange just doesn't strike the right tone..

DX Chogokin VF-31A Kairos - Macross Delta 10th Anniversary
Chronocidal replied to MKT's topic in Toys
Maybe I need to get another set of the normal super packs and paint them in gray too.. although, honestly, Messer's set in black looks pretty decent out of the box. If only the armor pack didn't come in freaking day-glo orange. -
Havent gotten any armor parts for the 31 but i would def want the 31A scheme armor parts.. that light grey/white/darker grey combo slaps!

Just saw that new Frankenstein on Netflix last night. I think the end could have used a bit more punch to it, but overall it was an interesting version. It’s got elements from the book and classic movies and a bit of Guillermo Del Toro’s own flair in the story. Effects wise, it looks far better than the previews showed. The trailers have almost a heavy cg kinda look and the actual movie doesn’t have that cartoony sheen. Most of the film has a pretty creepy practical style with a little cg here and there, but very minimal in most of the movie It’s a movie that like a lot of Del Toro’s films, is more heart than action or scares. Not so much a scary movie, but definitely some creepy unsettling moments. Ending aside, the movie is definitely worth checking out. Not a perfect movie, but definitely a good movie in an age of movies that can be mostly let downs . Netflix also has a making of to go with it. About 45 minutes, just didn’t have time to check that out yet, but probably fun to watch after seeing the film

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Seto Kaiba replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It is a little depressing how much of this season is white noise-tier writing. I've kind of given up trying to get anything of value out of Li'l Miss Vampire Can't Suck Right, Let This Grieving Soul Retire, My Friend's Little Sister Has It In For Me, Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota, The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest, My Awkward Senpai, Solo Camping for Two, The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess, A Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai, and A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace. Most of them are not bad so much as just bland. My Awkward Senpai, Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota, Let This Grieving Soul Retire, and Li'l Miss Vampire Can't Suck Right never venture beyond their single premise for any episode. Li'l Miss Vampire is probably the worst of the lot. It's started to feel kind of cringeworthy and incel-ish, to be honest. -
Looks like we're about to see a street race between a Quad and a Messiah! Very nice @Cheese3!

I know, I know. I’m still waiting for the announcement of the red MB Seven Sword and the DX SV-303. [edit:] Thinking about toys that were teased but never released by Bandai the SHF Shredder stings the most.

Everyone here should know that Bandai doesn’t care about completing anything right @Scyla? So why should the Slipheed Armour for the Karios should be done? Bandai doesn’t care about anything else, however they actually did the GBP suit for Roy after 5 year of teasing it after the 1j GBP was released. Hot Toys are just as the same for their 1/6 teases, just make fancy displays to get more potential customers and squat all afterwards (but they did a Clone Trooper after 6-8 years of it sitting on a shelf).

Looks like the stickers have been delayed until December. I still have an order in for them, but the listing isn't active to order more. I asked the seller if a new listing will be added, and I'll link it here if/when it is. The scaled valks and destroids are still available to order though. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256809083776895.html

Message Boards vs Social Media
rsvictor1976 replied to Roy Focker's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It really depends on the subject. For example, I find more useful information about anime figures on Reddit compared to Facebook. If we're talking on the subject of Macross specifically: Macrossworld: Usually find the most useful information here. Facebook: A lot more shared media such as pictures of models, toys, etc. Reddit: I noticed more new fans post on Reddit than anywhere else to share experience and ask newbie advice. The mods are very prejudice against Robotech. Discord: The Discord channels I've been to just plain suck. Very little content where members just occasionally stop by to say hi. -
While I prefer message boars myself over social media (I never had any interest in Facebook/Twitter/IG) I also think that I am not the right person to judge which one is "better". While I do visit MWF on a daily basis it is hard to me to develop any kind of personal relationship between the board members and even after 13 years on MFW I still feel like I don’t belong any kind of friend clique here. That is not the fault of any of the members here where I only ever had pleasant exchanges with but rather my own approach to interaction. As I posted before I have no interest in other social media platforms and I am usually a private person when it comes to sharing personal information. So it probably a me thing. It could also be that I was socializing on the message board of my old WoW guild where the board itself was more of a coordination and news tool for the guild’s activities rather than a social media platform. Most of the deep social interaction happened in game. Maybe it never occurred to me to use a message board as a social media platform. The other part is that I find it rude and intrusive to bother other people with my personal "issues". That said compared to other social media platforms I think we have a good community here and I still enjoy visiting the form every day.

More often than not I prefer naked valks than with super packs, but just like the RVF-25, the 31E looks better with them. Shame Bandai hasn't released the super pack for it.
