  9. I’m so sorry to hear about your situation. That’s horrible. I hope things change for you and your family. ♥️
  10. It kind of made some sense to me. They were basically designing mech to combat an at the time, unseen giants. They probably were made more for fighting off boarding parties on ships or dealing with a smaller invasion force than what we got. The Spartan does have some ranged combat equipment and was built for strength possibly for enemy capture and a club to have piñata time with a giant meat bag if all else fails.
  11. I do truly hope things change for you. It sounds terrible and I really wish you the best and a whole lot of luck.
  12. I finished Excel Saga and Azumanga daiou. They were both great. Even though I thought the last episode of excel saga was really crazy. I watched the 1st episode of Puni Puni Poemi and finally the bow of Yamato appears. Also when Hitomi spoke my 1st impression was it is definitely the same voice as Ushio from Clannad,
  13. Sorry to hear that @pengbuzz! Hopefully the housing situation straightens out for you. Really hoping things start breaking your way!
  14. This is the TOS Enterprise. I no longer have the ability to mold new ones, as my heat gun died some time back and finances are so tight now (thanks to tariffs and such) that buying even model cement is impossible. No, I have no materials for that; all I have now is what is on hand. We're now in "survival mode". Once I run out of supplies, my modeling is over. We just got word today that we may not even have a place to live in the months to come. It's that bad. Anyways, this is going on indefinite hiatus, and possibly disposal, as we now need to make some hard choices. Sorry to bother everyone.
  15. So I was transforming one of these last night and I had a bit of a revelation: I think I know why Bandai went with the slip-fit vertical pegs (and only the vertical pegs) for the arms in fighter mode. I think it's so you can drop the arms down and attach/remove the gun pod without having to move anything else (backpack/legs). Maybe this was already figured out, or stated directly by Bandai, but it's first time I've realized it. You can kind of do this with something like the yamcadia 1/60s, but I feel like you have to fiddle with the legs more to get the arms undone. Does it make it the "correct" design choice? Probably not, but at least I think I understand the logic behind it, finally. I will say, it was kind of nice to be able to easily attach the gun pod when I realized I had forgotten to. Probably not worth the other sacrifice to overall rigidity that they made, though.
  16. I'm thinking it was designed with close quarters combat in mind, for dense urban environments. I don't know if we ever really see it used that way, but it makes sense.
