  2. Riding into the Mando and Grogu movie hype. Do I need explain who these characters are or are we like illiterate and need some one to read it and tell who they are to us?!?
  3. Today
  4. So. What's the support bar accessory for?
  5. Content index of the Hobby Japan Magazine if anyone is interested.... release is on the 25th. although Amazon JP already shipped mine. 🤗
  6. Just a heads up - the April 2026 issue of Hobby Japan will be a focus on the Perfect Grade Unleashed Nu Gundam and the 45th anniversary of Gunpla: I'm sure it'll be a great reference for any others that scored the latest PG kit.
  7. Hard is a relative term. It took me almost 2 years to get to the level of comfort I have with the tools and the workflow. The issue is the workflow. Importing models is relatively simple once you have the project and SDK set up and start your basic plane project. Setting up the SDK and then creating the project tutorial plane is also not straight-forward and will take several sessions of AI coding assistant to help. I recommend using Microsoft Copilot as it has access to most of the MSFS2020 SDK and can reduce the learning curve and even generate basic plane templates. A good portion of the work is creating the flight model correctly and realistic. You can have your VF model imported but it may fly like a bi-plane if you stick to tutorial craft. None of the flight surfaces will move or animate with your controls until you create the animations and bind them to the planes XML configurations, which is a whole SDK to learn. I am considering making a Macross builder/boilerplate craft template for purchase that will have some of the hard-work already done in terms of the flight model, cameras, lighting, animation bindings, some transformation sequence placeholders. I also will be starting a patreon where I will make some craft available.
  8. My intended point was that previously they have spent a lot of effort in making sure their AI upscaler's output still looked like it was game output, and now they're just letting it do whatever. It has been freed from the constraints that were needed to make people think it was ever a good idea, in an attempt to create a feature that goes beyond upscaling and into "enhancement".
  9. In 2-3 years, we will print out all these pics you've shared with us for your first Macross Art book Just amazing as always, thank you for keeping all these designs alive.
  10. Sorry just catching up in this thread...but I can't let that comment go unnoticed. 33rd!!!??? You are single handedly keeping the CF franchise going...I hope your purchases encourage Bandai to give me a DX CF soon! Thank you for your service.

  12. Might as well go to AI datacenters as we can't buy memory nor GPUs to go with a new CPU 🤡
  13. Intel is reportedly preparing a 10% price increase for Consumer CPUs (Tweaktown.com) AMD will not be far behind.🙄
  14. Kakizaki!!! Finally after selling it several years ago to cover some health expenses I finally have the Yamato Vermilion team together again. I still remeber getting this one from HLJ way back in the day with a 30% off! ... plus 4 more brownies 2 closed from Mandarake and opened from Ami ami. Had to ask for a friend to get the second one from ami ami to bypass the 1 per household limit. Count 24.
  15. Finally returning to the Plamax Bellvine. Not many seams to deal with, but it has lots of mold lines. I will completely buildup all subassembly’s like head, arms, legs, feet, thrusters etc… and have fun being loose with my painting. Probably only masking off the eyes on this one and then move on to brush painting lacquer for the metal hoses etc… Looking forward to being more freestyle in my approach due to the semi organic vibe and messing around with this bug…or is it a bird? Not sure
  16. I haven't decided yet, depends on when some deliveries come in. Definitely pilot figure next though.
  17. Thanks for this @jenius. What are you planning on reviewing next after part 4?
  18. They're down to €1000-1500-range now, according to PCPartPicker (GER) 😅. Be glad you bought it when you did. Unless you need a new one, in which case...good luck.
  19. Macross is not a hobby for the financially faint-of-heart, that's for sure. 😅 Between the Japanese domestic market prices for things like physical media, books/mooks, models, toys, albums, etc. and the cost of international shipping and the associated taxes makes it pretty darn costly at the best of times. That much spread across a decade or so ain't too bad, but all at once? Ouch. I did some checking, and it looks like the color art was possibly only available in the non-archived digital distribution and/or individual print issues of Dengeki Hobby. EDIT: I was able to find the illustrator's (Tommy Otsuka's) socials, but nothing Macross related on their two twitter accounts. Their old artist website is defunct, and I haven't yet checked their pixiv account but what I can see on Twitter is that it's mostly OC NSFW stuff.
  20. The comments under Mark's video speaks for everyone lol

    DX Chogokin VF-17S

Ankles/thrusters jutting out in fighter mode Gerwalk mode is just horrible and has no resemblance to the OA If this is not plain laziness on tamashii part to try and frankelstein the VF-171, i dunnoe what is Is it me or the DX VF-17S is severely lacking in tampos department? Guess this will be a one off release due to the poor sales and revenue
  22. +1 I like the VF-171, but that toy had issues and it departs quite a bit from the VF-171, especially in bulk and proportions. I'm content with my Yammie VF-17 for now. I hope they'll do an HMR VF-17, and if they do, as you said, it'll very likely be a scaled down version of the Yamato just like their VF-4. We really need another toy company dedicated to getting Macross right, as Arcadia is all but dead at this point, and while not everything they made was perfect, at least there was passion behind their products. We need a toy company with that kind of dedication again, as well as the finances to take chances on obscure designs along with the more popular ones. Bandai has the finances, but obviously, Macross is an afterthought.
