That really sucks. I’m assuming there’s also no way to slide the pants down either.

All Things Videogame Related: EXTREME VS!!

We'll likely find out in 2 weeks at Computex. The black version may be an Xbox(?) version with the Ryzen Z2 Extreme while a White version will use an AMD Aerith Plus (successor to the SteamDeck's CPU). I'd wager that the battery life is probably on-par to the Ally X.- 6889 replies

are you planning on upgrading when Ally 2 hits? I sold my steam deck without even opening it. I had no time to use it so i sold it off before the LED version hit and depreciated in value. No sense holding unto something i had no time to use. This looks pretty interesting to be honest.- 6889 replies

Remember kids, we're living in the age where everything is "Explosive", "shocking", "will rock the industry", etc... because nothing gets more clicks than click bait. Hell, the whole Youtube algorithm is based off click bait titles. YT channels have specifically said that because if they don't play the game, their video never gets seen by the audience. Same goes for news and "news". If it doesn't come with a blatantly obvious stupid headline, you'll never click on it.

Wow, that's wild. I know Bandai is an absolute pain for refusing to replace individual parts, but I never thought they would go so far as to just send the entire valk. The crazy thing about this is that now you've got, essentially, a giant spare parts bin in case something else breaks. Too bad they didn't send you the engine petals though, or it would have actually been a fair piece to display.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
M'Kyuun replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
No worries. I appreciate your elucidation as my memory is anything but dependable and I would've continued to think I misremembered until my next watching (probably years down the road) at which point I would have forgotten this entire conversation anyway, rendering the point moot. You could have remained silent and I would likely have never known the difference, thus I appreciate your disclosing the source of that particular bit of info. It's both interesting and demonstrative of your character. Cheers! -
What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0

The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows... yeesh, what happened? It wasn't a great series by any means, but the animation quality took a real hard dive in this episode. There are a few scenes, esp. ones with the "mystery antagonist", which look like they were animated by rank amateurs. Classic Stars remains delightfully unintelligible. I have no idea what is going on, and the series is half over. It's like a drug trip, but you can have it while you're sober and with zero danger of ending up in jail from it. The Too-Perfect Saint is leaning real hard into its form letter "the prince is a twit" plot. Like, it's really really boring and you can just tell that the plan to give the prince enough rope to hang himself with is gonna backfire epically. -
Just as I'm warming up more to Max's figure, disaster struck. I was exploring putting him on a sitting pose, so was slowly lifting his left leg up and when I got to around the 50-60 degree range, the thigh separated from the crotch. There was no audible sound or any distinct feel or something snapping, it just suddenly felt loose. One of my biggest reservations on soft good figures, is that it is hard to gauge the range of motion limits since the joints are hidden beneath the fabric. Hence, I was already exercising much more caution than usual when handling Max. I have no idea if the joint itself is broken, or the thigh has a natural separation point via a peg & slot system like some other action figures. It does seem to have pull-down thighs like most other modern figures usually to enable a higher degree of thigh swing. Although the thigh has separated, I am unable to pull the whole limb out from the pant leg to inspect it, because it appears the pant leg has been glued somewhere along the lower leg. So when I pick up the figure now, the entire left leg is like wet noodle just dangling by the pants. The outer box has text saying something along the lines of 'refer to instructions before use', but there is zero literature inside (anyone else can confirm this?). I obtained this from my local toy store, but I contacted KC directly to see what can be done now. Awaiting their response...

Hey thanks @Big s that’s nice to hear. My 1 year anniversary of building models is coming up on the 17th. I have made some progress along the way, but I’m still very much a noob compared to most everyone here. I’m here to soak up all the sage advice I can get. I figure I just need to keep building a bunch and challenging myself. Oh and have fun.

In all fairness, even the cartoons (esp. The Clone Wars) make it very clear that even in-story Mandalorian warrior culture is considered insanely toxic and self-destructive at best by anyone who's not in one of their feuding warrior cults. WRT the ignored epiphany from the end of season two of The Mandalorian, it probably doesn't help that the only survivors of Mandalore are the crazies. The reasonable folks got nuked. Fans just tend to... overlook... that little detail because Mandalorians are very action figure-friendly. The series as a whole is a direct sequel to a cartoon... it doesn't excuse the cartoon logic, but it explains why the writers fell into that trap in the first place.

Bluefin finally sent me replacement part, except it’s a nice surprise. Instead of sending me a replacement antenna and fins, they sent me the entire valk instead. They put the valk in the plastic tray and sent it in a shipping box. Yes, the antenna and the fins on the replacement valk were all good. Props to Bluefin. It took a looong time but they delivered.
